I remember when late Umaru Yar adua was declared winner of 2007 presidential election, there's was this coldness in my neighborhood. No jubilation whatsoever. But a decade down the line, many Nigerians chose him to be the best democratically elected president. GEJ was hated in the north, less than a decade later, people started to love him
As for BAT, Time will tell. As for BAT, I strongly believed Nigerian will celebrate him just as awalowo was widely celebrated. Some of my personal understanding, checks and studies made on him since 2000 till date gives me hope that he will not fail. I have never seen him handling lighter challenges, he finds joy in turning around difficult things. he loves difficulties and results. |

Besides, these days technology have advanced. Turji constantly makes video on social media, He is constantly doing give away, Why was it easy to smoke Nnamdi Kanu out in far away Kenya yet Bello who is in Nigeria is yet to be captured? Good. But the issue is the fact that the north is completely different from the south. People hardly give out information rather they protect you so long you have same religion. Blazetrailer: How do you even comment when you dont have an understanding of what is being discussed.
Local government or state governments dont have control over the fiscal and monetary policies of a country ...inflation and economic woes are direct results of poor choices of the central government. And we are talking about inflation here.....so how does a local government come into it?? Oga, you understand the issues being discussed and you said the policies should be reversed. Ok no problem since you know too well than the government in power and you can pay ₦800 per litre as Subsidy as well as encourage the usual capital flight in dollars by subsidising the currency, then you can contest the next election and do the reversals and any other you wished. But for me as a patriotic Nigerian, that have witnessed the hundreds of petroleum tankers moving across the borders btw 1am and 3am on daily basis during Subsidy which have since stopped, I will never support any reversals even as it affects me. The truth is that you have not proffer any solution or steps to get money to subsidise fuel apart from borrowing, yes we all complaining, but can complains solve the problems? It's not about Batist, it's the reality. Normally, doing different things must bring different results. To reduce the pains, the LG and state needed to be creative with programmes and used the money to develop people because even if Tinubu loses the next election, no government will subsidise fuel with ₦800 per litre |

Nigeria truly deserve these corrupt leaders if this is the way the citizens think is what is posted below. Other countries are working hard to improve purchasing powers of their citizens through subsidy, reliefs, gogernment programmes and other redistribution of wealth strategies, this buffon is happy that inflation is hitting Nigerians hard. Oponu! Just imagine! How can a country be successful with people born only with insult reasoning rather than being productive. Has Nigeria passed through 1/3 of what other countries experienced before they were ok? Have you asked your LG chairman how he spent the allocations? Purchasing power indeed. |

Penguin2: Some Obidients can be too sensitive for my liking.
Obi was just fulfilling all righteousness by felicitating with Gowon and I don’t think anybody should have issues with it.
If anything, Igbos who know history should be thankful to Gowon for how the war ended.
If not for Gowon, the Igbo haters from Awolowo camp and northern Muslims would have overrun the East and raze it ashes just to make sure Igbos never rise again.
It was Gowon’s policy of “No Victor, No Vanquished” that prevented that from happening. And those bloodsucking Igbo haters could only murmur from distance with their teeth all out like a rabid dog tasting for Igbo blood.
It was the anger of not letting Igbos be disappeared from the face of the earth that made Awolowo give every Igbo man 20 pounds after the war irrespective of how much he had in the bank before the war.
So, I understand that Gowon prosecuted the war against Biafra but those who understand leadership would know that Gowon was merely doing his job and not anything personal.
So, enough of the sulking by some Obidients. We can be more reasonable than that. It's better for Nigerians to reconfirm what obidents and Obi himself stood for. Gowon have been celebrating birthdays or other things without much comments from SE if any, why Obi is doing this now is simply because of elections thinking the north will forgive the SE as well. Anyways for us to know who is to be forgiven, I asked: who started all the brouhaha that lead to the war then? If Igbos had won, would they be saying something today? Thier characters is Very clear anywhere they are, either they cheats/ outsmarted you or they dominated you calling it Igbo sense. Fact check that in any environment they are outside SE. |

Yes, good he said it can not be fixed overnight and that they should prioritise completing the existing ones. Where are the governors and representative of the states and LG where the road passed. When obi was a governor, what was his efforts in completing existing roads. PDP did not believe in infrastructures then. Were the federal roads in Anambra completed? No. Roads were awarded and politicians used it to suffer Thier people because of elections campaign. Kobojunkie: The EFCC was established via the EFCC Establishment Act of 2002(Amended in 2004) to act as an arm of the Law Enforcement in Nigeria commissioned to combat economic and financial crimes, thereby enabling the Commission to prevent, investigate, prosecute and penalize economic and financial crimes.
2. The EFCC is not a State that it should be said to compete in any way with the federalism status of States or LGs in the country though. It is instead a Law enforcement agency and like all Law enforcement in Nigeria at this time, its jurisdiction covers all levels of the country. Correct and Very simple. So, Na now Kogi State went to court with others that EFCC did not have 2/3 approval of the states when it was created simply because Yaya Belle swallow or spent federal allocation anyhow. EFCC is like police and army. FG gave the allocation to states so he has the right to asked them How they spent it. |

They should continue to justify failure and manipulations for which the APC is well known for. Okonjo- iweala, Sanusi Lamido, Soludo, Rewane etc said during electioneering campaign at different times that ' they pity whosoever will be the next president. The policies are good and working but they are so painful to the masses. But being painful to the masses does not mean the policies are not good or not working. It's painful because Nigerians are not producing, we depend on God for miracles while other countries produces why? It's very simple, let us be honest,, how many Nigerians can open a shop with 3sales girls or boys and keep paying their salaries every month without making sales? So imagine government borrowing money to reduce fuel prices, to reduce dollar rates, to pay workers salaries and we are producing zero. Even the crude have been used to take loans for the next 30+ years. |
