Dan didn’t appreciate her feelings much.

He said plenty of interesting and unexpected things. He said that Linda was a nice ‘kid’. He hopes Linda can find someone for her but she must find the right person. Because Ikeji is really into a business she is doing now. He said Linda was and is very honest. Dan thought he wasn’t good enough for her then.

‘I always asked her why me’ – he said. But Linda was really into him. And Dan couldn’t believe that. Unfortunately, he took her for granted. He thought she could easily find some fine model-guy on the runway. But Linda was so serious about Dan. She was in true love with him. But, unfortunately, in the end, it didn’t work out. And the reason was - he took her for granted and he was dating other girls while he was dating her. Dan tried to have relationships in Abuja and in Warri while Linda was in Lagos. He said that it was a nightmare.

To my utmost dismay, I found, recently that the Igede ethnic group of southern Benue was classified under the Idoma tribe on Benue map. More shocking, however, is the fact that with so much curiosity, checking for the list of Nigerian ethnic groups, Igede was also found to be missing!

Well, I'm sure Igede is not the only tribe suffering from that. At this Age, one is forced to wonder why in God's name a country as vibrant as Nigeria will still have tribes unaccounted for, shame! To make matters worse, in a State as vibrant as Benue (the last time I checked, Benue is among the top five most populous States in Nigeria, with the past Senate president hailing from there) . Igede is the 3rd largest ethnic group in Benue (after Tiv and Idoma!). The (ghost) Ibo-speaking part of the State is put into consideration, but no, not a far more populous one, SMH.

Well, fellow Nairalanders, I just pointed that out so you can understand your country, and criticize well. For those in the helms responsible for collating such data, IBB has woken your lazy ass to your job; arise and do the needful instead of relaxing in the comfort of your office, reading one Old Map and giving stupid reports from your comfort zone. I always like to approach each building contract like a forward thinking businessman. I did not deviate from the budget for building this block of 8 flats. I suffered the price hikes by turning my house into a mini warehouse where I park lots of materials I think might increase in price, I also stocked a lot of cement and rods with dealers after payment. That way, I beat the recession as I had many building materials bought cheap. Sometimes I ask the my clients to pay for the next stages earlier so I can use the money to stock materials before they rise too much.

In all, this particular block of 8 flats cost us about 42 million naira to construct (materials, workmanship and supervision) till this painting level, compound works, soak away systems, tiles, electrical wires and fittings, everything inclusive.

Picture below is a room in my house now turned into a building materials store.
