A South African grandpa, Ivan Ikes, has taken to social media to mourn the death of his twin grandsons who drowned in a pool at their family home over the weekend.

According to Ivan the twins’ parents had gone to sympathize with another family, and left the kids with the nanny.

However, the twin boys left the nanny in the house and found their way to the pool side.

It was learnt that the drownings were caught on CCTV camera. The grieving grandfather said if it had not been for the CCTV cameras, they would have not known how the boys got into the pool.

Meanwhile, Rescue Care Paramedics arrived at the scene to discover the twins had fallen into the family pool. The paramedics assessed the two boys and attempted to resuscitate them, but all attempts proved abortive and both boys were declared deceased on the scene.

Taking to Facebook to recount the sad incident, Ivan wrote,

“The boys got up and went outside and somehow after fiddling, got the gate to the pool fence opened. The one kid fell in and the other, after what seemed like beckoning to his brother to come out, jumped in to save him.

“They hung onto the Kreepy Krawly for as long as they could until eventually succumbing to their fate”.

A young man identified as Olusegun on Twitter has taken to the micro-blogging platform to narrate how a lady he took out on a date almost broke his bank with an expensive food order.

Olusegun recounted how he once earned N20k monthly and decided to have a nice hangout with a new babe, as per ‘man must enjoy cos problem no dey finish.’

The babe ordered rice, chicken, and salad worth N4,500 while he ordered just a hundred naira table water for himself.

He wrote;

“I can never forget the day I invited a lady for a date when I was still earning 20k a month. I ordered for bottled water N100. She ordered for rice, chicken and salad N4500. I just knew she couldn’t be the one for me.”

Popular Nigerian Rapper, Erigga, has some words of advice for young men who are out there ‘hustling’.

A Nigerian man identified as Onyedika, has sparked controversy on social media with his statement on what is saving many married men from depression and death.

Onyedika took to Facebook to state that if not for alcoholic drinks and side chicks, many married men would have died of depression because of their wives.

He attributed said depression to wives he described as troublesome, hence the reason why some men resort to having side chics and drinking in order to calm their nerves.

He wrote;

“If not for beer and side chic many married men would have died of depression. Some wives are terrible!”.
