That means you weren’t paying attention.

How come Dr Strange and Spider-Man still remembered what happened before the snap?

How come Asgard remained destroyed? (Thor ragnarok)

How come Loki remained dead?

Pay attention to details!!!
You are not even getting the argument. The issue is not about what happened in the movie or what the Directors showed in the movie, the argument is that their explanation of events in the movie does not hold water when weighed with events in the movie.
Since you are saying that everything is intact and nothing changed, Why is Gamora still alive?
And who said Loki is dead? Or did you forget that his timeline has changed too?
Guy, I'm tired abeg!

That’s why it called time travel, they went back in time to get the stones before Thanos destroyed it and used it to undo the snap.

They didn’t change anything from the past, they didn’t stop Thanos from getting the stones, rather they took the stones from the past to their own timeline to undo what Thanos did. So taking back the stones to where we they were before effectively means everything reverts back to the way they were.

If Thanos 2014 had not come in contact with Nebula 2023, the plan was to get the stones, undo the snap then return the stones back to where they took it. Everything that happened already happened. They can’t change that. That’s the reason those that was brought back to life still had the memory of what happened before the snap.
Except he did come in contact with her, and the Thanos that would have developed to cause the havoc in Infinity War didn't happen. His trajectory changed, therefore Infinity War never happened and neither does the Snap... Do you now understand it?

the infinity stones were not destroyed through out the entire timeline!!!!!!

If you kill a cow on Friday that cow doesn't exist again but the cow existed on Thursday, Wednesday, Tuesday.....etc !!!!
You are now lending credence to what i have been saying.
It was one timeline until the Time travel ish which messed up everything.

Yet at the end of the movie, Asgard remained destroyed. Dr Strange is now sorcerer supreme instead of ancient one. If the future changed, then There should be no Spider-Man in the MCU and the guardians of the galaxy never met Thor when Asgard was destroyed and know about the avengers.

Think about it, the future remained unchanged, they didn’t go to the past to stop Thanos from getting the stones, they went to take the stone to undo the snap and return the stone back. Everything before the snap remained the same.
Bro, which movie did you watch please? Because I'm beginning to doubt it's Avengers: Endgame!!!

the past they went back two, thor ragnarok has not happened and thus asgard was still a place a d not the people. The future changed cause thank didn't snap again. They looked for alternate way. In the future thanos was supposed to find the stone but now he didn't. Instead he can back from the past. So thanos future was changed immediately thanos came to earth before the actual prophecy.
Exactly.

Did you watch the scene of Ancient one and Banner? When Ancient one was telling him the consequence of taking the stones away? They explained it that returning back the stones reverts the timeline back to the way it was and nothing will be changed. That’s basically what happened.

I will go with their explanation of how the time travel works than go with my own explanation since no one has actually embark on time travel before.

I’m saying according to what they did in the movie, the time travel make sense.
No, it doesn't make sense. According to the same movie, Thanos told the Avengers he has destroyed the Infinity Stones.
Therefore, how could the Infinity Stones still exist and work in the same Universe and timeline which they have been destroyed?
Care to enlighten me?

Loki is dead bro.

Gamora remains dead also.

Where do you think Gamora disappeared too? grin

Why does Asgard remain destroyed?

Dr. Strange, Spider-Man and the rest remembered what happened before the snap. How is that possible?

The timeline in MCU is fixed. They don’t go about changing the future from the past. Everything that happened before Endgame still happened. They went to the past to take the stone to undo the snap, they didn’t go to the past to stop Thanos from getting the stones. That’s why when they undo the snap, they went back to return the stones to where they took it so everything still went ahead the way it went.

Pay attention to details.
You are clinging to the explanation given in the movie as if it's canon, it's not.
Removing any of the stones in its timeline automatically changes the events that would have happened if it was not removed. Putting the stones back does not still guarantee that the timeline you tried to save will happen, and there is no guarantee that you will not accidentally change the timeline you are trying to save. It's a paradox!
In the current MCU timeline, the Space Stone was in Asgard and was given to Thanos by Loki to save Thor. However, as was shown in the movie, in 2012 Loki stole the Space Stone and disappeared during the time travel heist. Now, if Loki were to take it back to Thanos(seeing as it was the plan), Asgard and Thor would not have met Thanos, and no-one would have known about Thanos' plans save for Loki. Asgard would not have been destroyed, and Thanos would still be playing from the shadows.
Now, did placing the stone back in 1970 change the timeline in which Loki stole the stone seeing as it was taken before Iron Man travelled back in time?
If anything, can't you see that the battle of New York is now useless? Because Loki achieved his purpose?

Time travel is bullshît, you can never get it right!

I get what he is saying...since traveling back and forth through time doesnt affect anything that means the thanos they snapped out of existence was futile cos there would still be 2015 thanos or 2016 thanos roaming around still looking for the stones...thats the flaw he is pointing out i think
You are actually very correct... This is the problem why time travel is not good in movies, not even as a plot armour/deux ex machina...

In 2012, at the battle of New York, Loki stole the Space Stone and disappeared after the team travelled back in time. So, Iron Man and Captain America travelled way back in time to get it in 1970.

So, you are absolutely correct.

For 8 seasons they have been telling us that the war against the dead is the only war that matters. Now they expect us to care about Cersei.

I'd care about Cersei if she started attacking Dany and Jon after the Battle for the Dawn, but from the previews she's the one being attacked.
Dude, More than 1hr+ was dedicated to fighting in this episode. The whole episode was fight all through, from dusk till dawn, that's the Long Night that was talked about, not some other form of darkness enveloping Winterfel or Westeros...
What else did you expect? For the fight to be spilled over to the next episode?
People are forgetting that every wight is just an extension of the NK. In otherwords, the NK was the one doing the fighting from the moment the fight broke out. The wights are just his extension while the full physical embodiment is the dude with Orcs horns!!!

The useless of Jon Snow that's how, remove him from this episode and nothing will change, remove the Dortrakis and nothing will change, remove that cockless bastard and nothing will change, why was he even protecting bran just to clearly throw away his life...

That's because men are constantly presented as being willing to sacrifice them self for others sake, with no aorta of wanting power them self, while the other type of men are "Monsters" power drunk, willing to kill,Rape, and abuse women and children.
Your comments show that it's just your ego that's being bruised... Go and re-watch the Episode again, I'm sure you will see when Lady Mormont sacrificed herself to kill the Giant wight.
Arya's successful attempt to kill the NK was a sacrifice in itself, because she could have been killed. There was no way she could have known that she would succeed 100%.
Ser Briene being the only female soldier/Knight in all of Winterfell was a sacrifice... Once you are soldier, you have automatically sacrificed your freedom for imminent death and to protect others.
Do you think Dhaenrys could have fought the NK single-handedly without Jon's help?
Did you watch a different episode or TV show in which Jon Snow knocked off the NK from the Dragon?
Or did you forget to see that the NK was probably afraid of Jon(implied here!) which resulted in him doing his usual abracadabra to keep him busy?

Jeez, na wa o!!!

They didn't waste 7 seasons on the NK. The NK problem was always in the background while everyones eyes was still on the throne.

Only the men of the nights watch knew about the impending problem. And it was only when Jon started sounding the alarm about it that people became aware of the NK. And they only actuality started fighting the army of the dead in season seven.

The NK had always been a secondary issue. The throneis main focus.

No. I don't think most people have a problem with Arya killing Ojuju calaba -- not me certainly.

I think the problem is that it was too simplistic & unexpected, for a character we've all been anticipating since Season 1. I mean, the first scene , as in the very first scene of GOT was about the Night King/white walkers. So it's only normal for people to feel disappointed if a long-term emotional investment doesn't pay off at the end.

The disappoinment is normal. Disappoinment also means you admit something is good. Afterall I can never be disappointed by Nollywood.

If even GRRM himself can be disappointed with these people he works with, how much more the viewers? It is said that GRRM is yet to recover from the disappoinment of the producers refusing to reincarnate Catelyn Stark as Lady Stone-heart ---- a cold-hearted woman who never spoke cos her throat was slit in her past life, determined to track down and kill everyone associated with the Red wedding. I haven't read the books yet though but heard she reincarnated there.

As for we viewers, we were expecting an epic finale kind of.

Maybe a catastrophic mixture of Jon, Brienne, Tormund, Berric, Grey-worm, Clegane & Arya all fighting the Night King at once. That would have been glorious!!!

Then just when the Night King thinks he's defeated them all, Arya from nowhere descends on him like a falcon and kills him just how she did it.

Yea something like that.
Apparently, you think GOT is Avengers:Endgame and that the NK is Thanos!

This thread has made me learn a very important lesson that bears on why Nigeria is the way it is. Nigerians really hate criticism. People are honestly airing their opinions on what they don't like about the last episode and some people are saying they should keep their opinions to themselves, enjoy the show or go make their own. Really? So if I am a medical doctor and I purchase a car produced by an engineer and there are certain parts of the car that I don't like. I shouldn't complain? I should just enjoy it? Wouldn't it be stupid if I was told to go and make my own car since I don't like that one? What business does a Doctor have with making cars? Are the producers of the show not selling the show? Wasn't the data I used to download this episode not bought with my own money? Shouldn't I have the right to criticise what I purchase?

What you Nigerians do not realise is that development doesn't happen without criticism. No wonder almost every sector in Nigeria is fraught with mediocrity and stagnation. If you are so riled up by someone pointing out errors from an episode of a show you like, I wonder how you'd react when someone criticises something you invested time in creating. The Western science that you enjoy its benefits is founded upon thousands and thousands of critiques and flaw checking. Without all this it wouldn't have evolved to produce the technology and medical benefits that we enjoy today.

WITHOUT CRITICISM THERE IS NO DEVELOPMENT.
Criticism is a welcome idea anywhere... However, the one thing you didn't factor into your comment is the fact that this is just a movie, and sci-fi at that. It is not real, and is merely fantasy.
If you give 1000 directors this episode to direct, they will give you 1000 ways this episode could have gone. And no matter how they do direct this episode, a lot of people must complain as to what didn't go right.
You can't be in your room and be fuming with anger because an episode didn't go how you wanted it to go... You are not the directors, producers, financiers nor the script and screenwriters, and you certainly know nothing about the plot of the show.
It is utterly foolish and silly to lay your criticism of a show based on how a particular thing you were expecting didn't happen...
I repeat, it is utterly useless and föolish to lay your criticism of a show based on how a particular moment you were expecting didn't happen.
The show runners have stuck with what worked for them and created a show with worldwide cult following.
If you believe you can do better, it's a free world. No-one gives an absolute fück about the fact that you expected something else and was blessed with a twist not a single theorist saw coming.

Don't you guys think? Like seriously though? Everything seems to be either white or black for you guys. It's as if your reasoning lacks nuance. How does my comment equate to hating women? I rightly said "warped feminism" which implies that I am referring to a version of feminism that's been inverted and turned into something that doesn't mirror what true feminism is.

I have no issues with women winning battles or being portrayed as powerful, but men shouldn't be relegated to being portrayed as weak and useless for this to happen.
@bolded, how exactly was men portrayed to be weak in the just concluded episode? Because the last time i checked, only three females actually saw battle in the episode : Lady Mormont, Ser Briene and Arya.
So how exactly were men portrayed to be weak?

What Are Godswoods on Game of Thrones ?
When the First Men invaded Westeros, they started a war with
the Children of the Forest that led to the creation of the Night
King. Both sides were then forced to fight the Night King
together, and after they won, the First Men agreed to worship
the Old Gods as part of the peace treaty. As such, every major castle and settlement in Westeros is built around a weirwood tree, and the shrine-like area surrounding it is called a godswood.

From your picture, which other high or big tree can Arya jump from apart from the weirwood?

Godswoods are wooded sanctuaries, enclosed within a
castle's walls, that have been set aside as places of worship
and meditation dedicated to the Old Gods of the Forest. They
are centered around a single heart tree, usually a weirwood
tree with a face carved into the trunk.

One such godswood is located in Winterfell.
What exactly is your argument bro?
