A TV presenter, Joelah Noble surprised Kelechi Iheanacho during a virtual interview when she said “Igbo Kwenu” to the Leicester City forward in the live feed.

The word “Igbo Kwenu” is widely used among the Igbos, especially when they gather together. ‘Kwenu‘ means “agreement, collective will, solidarity, unity, etc”. This word comes from the commonly held notion in Igbo land that together through a collective will, success in everyday activities can be achieved for the betterment of the people.

Amazed by the effort and her ability to pronounce the words with so much clarity, Kelechi asked her how she knew that.

According to the interviewer, she researched about the language before the interview with Iheanacho. She also asked him “kedu?” and “kedu afa gi?” as they canvassed, surprising Iheanacho more.

In Igbo language, ‘kedu‘ means “how are things going?” or “what is the state of things with you?”. In popular parlance, it could mean a lot of things depending on the usage. On the other hand, “kedu afa gi?” means “what is your name?”

The SouthEast region of Nigeria is occupied by Igbos. At the moment, the region is made up of Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu and Imo State.

The Igbos are known for their industrious and business savvy nature. Apart from that, they are also blessed with large mineral deposits including crude oil, natural gas, coal, rock, arable lands and abundance of human resources.

3) Knights Templar

The Templars were an order of highly trained warriors that protected Christian pilgrims from incessant attacks on their way to the Holy Land.

Although that was the initial starting point, the order soon grew to be part of the Crusade. They would also go on to build a form of banking system which non-combatants operated across different places in medieval times.

2) Illuminati

The Order was formed by Adam Weishaupt on 1 May 1776 in Bavaria which is in present day Germany.

There are so many literature and conspiracy theories about this group. However, what is historically known is that the group was banned. The promulgation which was given by the Duke of Bavaria also attached death sentence to anyone found culpable.

1) Freemasons

In a nutshell, Freemasonry is described as a “beautiful system of morality, veiled in allegory and illustrated by symbols”.

Historically, masons are stone builders. In medieval times, they belonged to local guilds. Due to the nature of their job, they traveled to a lot of places. Because they used similar tools for work, they were able to identify one another through some of them.

Although some of their activities are widely known, the group still operates behind the veil. This makes it impossible for non-members to get full grasp of what happens in their lodges.
