Tuesday night Champions League match between FC Barcelona V PSG lived up to its billing as the tie of the round with a thrilling show, led by the ever ascending Kylian Mbappe. Watching the game from the beginning and up to the moment Messi scored the penalty, one would have said ‘here we go again’.

But, it didn’t go that way this time around; it went to the men from Paris. Apparently, FC Barcelona at this point has shown that the squad depth can’t compete at the biggest stages yet. Paris Saint Germaine finally broke the Camp Nou deadlock, humiliating Barca further and denting Barca’s hope of progressing further in the competition.

PSG may have taken the day, and Mbappe may have stolen all the headlines after the match; but, there is something else that happened in the match but was overshadowed by PSG’s victory.

· Messi’s goal against PSG is the 13th consecutive season that Lionel Messi has scored 20 goals in a single season.

· Also, the goal against PSG equaled Raul’s record of scoring at least a goal in Europe’s top competition for 17 consecutive years.

Though the night wasn’t meant for FC Barcelona, one thing we also know is that maintaining a high level of standard in the game of football is a hard thing to do judging from the intensity and demands of the round leather game. Every season, Lionel Messi sets a new record or breaks one. Maintaining a 20 goal contribution per season in the last 13 years is not a joke

This goes a long way in showing the jewel Barca have, and why they would go to any length to protect him. However, with the continuous subpar displays shown by Barca in recent times, one cannot help but wonder what will happen next in the Argentine wizard’s football career after his contract expires in the summer.

The 6 – 1 loss PSG suffered at the hands of FC Barcelona was not the first time Barca have dumped the French giants out of the top European competition. According to statistics, FC Barcelona has knocked out Paris Saint Germaine in the last three times both teams met in the UEFA Champions League thus:

· 2012-13 quarter-finals (3-3 Agg. away goals),

· 2014-15 quarter-finals (5-1 Agg.),

· 2016-17 round of 16 (6-5 Agg.).

One thing one cannot deny is the fact that this is definitely one of the high scoring games of the competition. The array of stars featuring in the fixture also makes the game a mouthwatering one. Will PSG finally overcome the bogeyman or will this be another Lionel Messi show?

FC Barcelona fans can bask in the euphoria of past records against the Parisian side. However, the other thing they can bask of is that their star player, Lionel Messi and the rest of the team have at least attained some form of stability before the game. Netflix knew that the major studios were coming on board the streaming service and folded their hands too long before they took any necessary steps. 2 years ago, Amazon quickly purchased a big franchise and spent $1bn for it (including production). Netflix was still looking.

Now, they are feeling the impact in the US and in other sub markets like the UK. They are now scampering to take actions by stopping a lot of unnecessary tv shows, slashing the number of movies produced per year and now bringing in top actors/actresses into their movies per year.

This is what they should have done long ago if they weren't watching D+ and HBOmax

One Area/Genre Where I think HBOMax should invest a bit more is Anime... That sector is really looking promising these days. To some, it might be an escapist affair, while to some others, marijuana helps them forget about their life problems or create solutions to them through more introspection.

In the end though, i guess we can rightly say that the alteration lies in the eyes of the beholder.

Disney+ and HBOMAX can only make their marketing stronger by linking Netflix into the mix. Your problem is that you don't understand that Netflix is like Hollywood unto itself at the moment.

Check the calendar for the year. How many series/movies did you see in Disney+ and HBOMAX template?

Now, compare That with Netflix. Did Netflix make all the movies/series coming to their platform in 2021 last year? Just because you are DC Fan doesn't mean you should start wading into things you practically have zero knowledge about.

Of course, you should know by now that a public company is as good as their stock. How do you think Elon Musk became the richest man on earth at the moment? It's because Tesla stock rose.

Netflix has one of the best performing stocks in the market at the moment. Their stock is bigger than both Walt Disney Company and AT&T combined. Their only business is just digital streaming and nothing else.

As you can see, Netflix stock is 2 times bigger than both Walt Disney Company and AT&T stock combined. Both Disney+ and Hbomax are just one of the ventures of both companies. I hope you get the point?

The argument is simple and clear. Netflix will end up losing the streaming wars (especially that number one spot) if they don't sit up like crazy. Currently, they are number one streaming service WW but will be knocked out of that position soon if they don't wake up.

*We already saw that Netflix is already sitting up by scrapping a lot of their tv shows, reducing the numbers of their movies and now focusing on big budget movies per year with top rated actors/actresses. Netflix is highly aware of the huge threat the big studios portray in the war*



Lol, despite Youtube being known WW and being around for years (close to 2 decades), their YouTube red streaming service (youtube's exclusive movies and tv shows service) is as good as DEAD due to the fact that there are bigger boys coming into the streaming service. Youtube sold cobra kai to Netflix because their SVOD (for movies and shows) is dead.

What you are seeing here is Netflix trying to step up to the big studios.

They can no longer try the BS of releasing 120 crappy unknown movies per year again, rather, they trimmed it down to 70 movies per year with top notch actors/actress.

What is happening is a reaction to the fact that they are slowly losing the streaming wars.

Disney+ has already displaced Netflix as the most downloaded app in 2020 in the US, even HBOmax that came out much later was very close to it.

Also, D+ app made far more money that Netflix app that has been there for years..Even HBOmax app almost made same amount with Netw=flix in the US...

However, for now Netflix is still the most downloaded app WW, but once D+ and HBOmax are fully integrated WW, Netflix might end up like blockbuster.

The objective of Netflix at the moment is feeding their millions of users as well as attracting new ones. They're doing perfectly fine in both.

I really don't understand what your point is. What exactly are you saying? That Netflix will die because Disney+ and HBOMAX entered the streaming industry? With all the thousands of streaming sites/app in the world, YouTube is still functional and continues to grow.
