The ancient palace, said to be over 200 years old, was built with mud and timber (wood) and is still standing strong on the soils of Irefin, Beere.
The family held historical significance as the descendants of Oba Onirefin, who built the biggest palace of 125 rooms in the history of Yorubaland during his reign between 1912 and 1914.
Oba Irefin Ogundeyi was a philanthropist and influential figure in Ibadan's rich history.
Today, the palace remains home to the relatives of the Irefin clan.
