It seems there may have been underlying issues in the marriage even before the sister-in-law moved in. Two years without a child should not automatically become a source of pressure, though society in Nigeria often makes it one. Regarding the food and household expenses, if your Sister is not solely responsible for providing them, she should avoid focusing too much on how fast things are being consumed for now, so she can protect her peace of mind. On orderliness in the house... With six children from the visitor, some of them should be old enough to assist with dishes and basic cleaning. Your sister can politely involve them in maintaining the house. Your Sister should have a calm and honest conversation with her husband, explaining how the lack of privacy and the prolonged stay are affecting her emotionally and their marriage. Together, they should discuss possible timelines and arrangements for the sister-in-law to get her own place. If the environment continues to affect her mental health, you can help her to temporarily engage herself elsewhere in a productive way, for example through further studies, professional development or work, rather than making it look like she is simply running away from the marriage. Leaving a marriage is a major decision and should not be made purely out of frustration or pressure from outsiders. I sincerely wish her peace, wisdom, and a positive resolution. |
Even within a single extended family, there are different fathers. A man is a father to his own children, even if he is not the father to others in the same family. That doesn’t diminish his role or authority within his own household. He is a father in his community. In the same way, in Christianity, there can be fathers within different spheres and sections and they have influence over those spheres which forms a significant section of Christianity in Nigeria. The are fathers of Christianity. |
kingthreat:Blaming a clear and avoidable wrongdoing/action on someone else’s mistake is a sign of irresponsibility. Two wrongs don't make a right. On this, the person is alive and decided not to come with clean hands/hearts until it is been escalated. |
Too many people cling to the belief that a mistaken transfer is an opportunity to spend freely and challenge the sender. That mindset is unlawful. Anyone who knowingly exploits such an error should be treated as a criminal and face appropriate consequences. |
Chukuwudi Iwuchukwu (on Facebook) maintains a respectful and visible relationship with all the individuals listed above (I have not seen him with Peter Obi) and has collaborated with them on some of their projects. He writes with confidence, without hostility or hate. They will either attend or be well represented, and even more notable individuals not listed are likely to be present. I could have attended, but for constraints of funds and perhaps the fact that we do not know each other personally. |
Nowhere outside of Nigeria can a former militant be crowned a Community head and given freedom and access to government. See criminal wan dey give advice. |
Come on… if properly verified, the lands may indeed have been allocated to the listed names, but certainly not in Maitama or Asokoro. These are agro/farm allocations, so they’re likely situated on the outskirts. It’s important we confirm the exact locations. Very soon, the FCT will develop road networks through those areas, which will significantly boost the value of the lands. |
ManUTD are just so unpredictable. You cannot get on them winning or losing a game. They are just full of ups and downs, they cannot even afford fans a pattern of heartbreak/joy. 😂 |
This undermines the State governments responsibility and risk disruption. You get to wonder what is the responsibility of a State Government if they cannot employ and pay salaries of health workers in a sector they accepted is deficient. Not even thinking of harnessing an IGR to fund the task. What happens when the law makers lose election or political differences. Unless if this agreement will be gazzeted and passed into law to allow direct deduction of allowances their National Assembly members, this venture is unsustainable and can lead to an uncontrollable medical emergency. |
Better empowerment compared to those that buy fancy cars for political leaders and hooligans. There should be monitoring and evaluation on crafts-related empowerment with option for more reward for beneficiary that is growing on the empowered trade. This is strengthening of livelihood and resilience. |
Great figures to read. We hope it transcends down to our daily living. Let Nigerians, breathe. |
Trying to make sense out of his rant. Does he mean that they should have been spared because they are Hausa hunters but attacked if they were Fulani? Or what? There is no dispute that they are hunters but what happened is just unfortunate. Our security system in Nigeria is poor and inadequate. By the way, Hausa and Fulani are different tribes but they are the ones that try to make themselves look inseparable, which gives them a bigger voice in politics, and never a coinage of 'Lagos-Ibadan' media as Reno said. The best and known traditional/occupational hunters in the North are from the minority tribes in the North and they have the vegetation and game to hunt. They don't go about the whole country hunting. Sad to say that most of the hunters from Hausa/Fulani are mostly not indigenous Nigerians, but Nigeriens. Nobody will want to mention that though. |
Good job. Politicians and the penchant for using words to steal projects and accord it to their names. You didn't initiate the schools. You should say you 'Renovated/Reconstructed', not you 'Commissioned'. That's how they go about changing names of monuments delivered by others, to their names and names of their cronies. |
So pathetic. We need stiff regulations on the licensing and sanity of commercial drivers and also a decision on timing of movement of articulated vehicles. Such unfortunate and avoidable emergencies because of the carelessness of 2 drivers. That is why I always prefer driving myself, no matter the distance. But such action is not economical now because of the cost of fuel and quality of the road. Spend money for fuel, spend dey repair car, spend dey settle touts, come become easy target to kidnappers. Jungle life. |
Na Ndi'Igbo dey do themselves. Most of the kidnappings and assassinations in South-East are peroetrated by people of the area. The rain forest in South-East/South-South is not an easy harbour for an outsider and not a grazing plain for herdsmen. Handle your internal security and threats, then any other struggle will have direction. |
Miracle alert happens but it must have a source (traceable). A client you worked for but refused to pay up, you gave up but asked the Almighty in prayers to intervene. The Client will be so 'troubled' one morning and sends you your money. That's a miracle alert. There was a time I felt so obliged and gave money to a Pastor on study leave but attends my local church . He appreciated the gesture and left. When he was done with studies in the town and was giving his farewell and thanksgiving, he mentioned there was a day he had no single naira and didn't know what to eat, that a member (he didn't call name) walked up and gave him a huge amount of money. That's a miracle alert to him. If you received an alert with no clarity or found money on the floor and kept it to yourself without looking for the source, na thief you be. God will judge you. |
Such a senseless press briefing by the Chairman. Those boys mostly stand on same location with Police men and FRSC officials. They are out to harass and rob people under duress. They are more in number and so aggressive such that it's even easier to pay them off than start a fight. They are always so confident that you should report them to any Police station. The only way out is to stand and fight them back if you have equal number of people with you. They hardly harass a group in transit. They go for soft targets - a guy driving alone or females. They should be disbanded and such task should be given to VIO, someone you can identify. If such people damaged your car and you later come back with security, nobody will agree it's AMAC. Even the Chairman don dey deny. |
If it's because of Dangote refinery that NNPC wants to be serious, then it's a plus for Nigeria and Nigerians. No room for 'audio' production. We want competitive pricing of petroleum products, devoid of corruption. |
They will use such funds to sponsor and maintain political thugs for future references. The Foreign Postgraduate Scholarship Program, political loyalist (with no interest of the study; most will not pass/finish the program ) were selected rather than prospective technocrat that may come back to stepdown knowledge. There should be Monitoring and Evaluation of the progress of such programs. There will be less than 20% success/adoption. |
They should work the work, the result is always measure able, not by rolling out propaganda laced news without evidence. Presidents/DGs comes and go, Agency remains. Successes should be attributed to Agency, not a person. |
Inflation... Price Instability... Ineffective procedures... Same running cost, few passengers, poor multiplier factor based on traffic if passengers. Airlines just share the running cost on available passengers. They are in for business, not charity. They need to break even, even if they will not gain. Most Nigerians that are not into politics or high end business cannot afford flight. |
Lori iro. They don't have the capacity to reverse us to the (un-)employment rate as of morning of 29th May, 2023 talkmore of tackling it. They are bad news. |
More of a reflex action. Learnt the work of an Altar Boy is a 'no-nonsense' job. The Priest normally strict with Altar Boys because some of them will end up going to the Seminary or some may be carried away with the goodies flying around in Parish house. Just to digress, the know of all 'happenings' in the Parish house and must be kept in check not to be a 'traitor'. |

Yola Electricity Distribution Company also notify of upward tariff review of Band A feeders from 206.80/kWh to 209.50/kWh. Problems of living in Nigeria is too much. They will still distribute the wahala(increase) to all if us. |
Policies that will be of benefit to the citizens and makes the common man breathe, they suspend indefinitely. Policies that will give room for corruption and make funds available for looting, it's approved expressly without due process.w |
Even if Fubara will fall, he should fall as a man. Imagine the number of moles that was planted and appointed for him. He would have being held responsible for the actions of his tenure when he is not in control of anything. He should fight until he can own up to his shit. |

The Police have discovered 350 AK-47 ammunition and arrested four suspects in a poultry farm along Sabon-Wuse-Garam road in Tafa LGA of Niger State.https://dailytrust.com/police-discover-350-ak-47-at-poutry-farm-in-niger/#google_vignette

We call them 'Gbemites' in school. Wherever there is something to eat, they will be there. They have no shame and cannot stand on any virtue. Only with you because there is something for their hungry craving. Well, nobody is blaming PBAT for their exit. They have decided to run their Country on their terms, not ECOWAS terms. |
Sex slavery is common among the Tiv then, and even now. Sexual drive is an individual thing but you cannot take it away that the Tiv has high level of libido and also good degree of promiscuity. Nigeria data of PLWHA can attest to that On the above matter, the Tiv man of then can go far to a virgin land, away from his people, and start a farming community. He goes there with his wife and also able-bodied young girls/ladies who are farm workers he recruits. As a Tiv man wey him be,he normally sleeps with the girls. Tiv man is known for love of food/meat/beer and group merriment. They are good host to special friends/visitors too. Then, when his fellow men come around to relax, eat and drink palmie, they see some of the young girls serving them and the host will gladly tell his guest to choose one for the night. To the host, he is just nacking one of my slave. To friends from other tribes (Fulani, Idoma, Jukun, Eggon etc) and neighbours who are aware the host normally sleeps with these girls, they conclude that host is leasing out his wives to friends for quickie. In olden days, whoever you 'sleep' with and is under your roof is considered your wife. Polygamy allowed. These unhealthy tradition made people to hang the stigma of 'wife-leasing' on the Tiv nation. Hope with these above unedited few points of mine, Tiv will know that they are guilty as accused. |
