One thing I learnt is studying comp science is not enough, check indeed for the skills needed, start working on them and check the modules of your school to see if they will cook you well. Also market yourself and pray for Favor. All the best.

Who gave u that info, that was before, u can't do that currently, u must provide ur BA confirmation or sponsorship letter or scholarship before u will be interviewed

How good must you be in C++, Python or JAVA to get a normal job, assuming I have a standard tutorial material and software to learn for one year straight??

You should be able to learn in 6- 7 months . Start building stuff in the remaining 6 - 5 months no matter how basic it is. This is the only way you can get a normal job after one year.

Avoid tutorial purgatory at all cost.

Personally I would go for javascript but both course has good modules, so it all depends on what you want.

Learning javascript or python has same job opportunities, just do your research on both and make your choice.

Its not about the language you learn is about how proficient your skills is in a particular language.

Hello my people,

For anyone planning on doing msc in computer science or anything related to software development, I will advice you to learn a programming language before coming here. Its just so very very important, the professors expect you to know how to program and in every course module, there is a project in which you must develop. Most of the times you have to use a language decided by the professor, this is the reason you have to have a grip on a particular programming language before coming to germany so that you can use the idea when developing with other languages,most of the time the difference is just the syntax.

For those who know how to program already, try to create a mini project to showcase your skills this can help you in getting internships faster.

For those who are planning to work and study...... My people E NOR EASY OOO * 3 . "Body nor be Firewood"

For the hopefuls, 2019 is your year. Deutschland awaits you!

When you enter Deutschland you go know say here make sense but 9ja sweet, so enjoy yourself before coming and cherish the moments with family.

Hello guys pls who is using deutsche bank i am finding it difficult contacting it them. Xpatrio refunded my money through them its 5 weeks now no sign of the money. I was still at first bank yesterday no show. I wonder why my money will be stuck there i had to withdraw my visa application because of this delay dat guy was right xpatrio has issues. They asked me for id of tbird party they dint even give time they just refunded the money back immediately. Where is that done now they are telling me to contact deutsche bank is it me that sent the money through deutsche bank. I have been sick and so worried because of it i am scared oh. Pls guys what should i do?

This is funny, why will they send the money to deutsche bank.

Do you have an account with deutsche bank?

If you dont, write or call xpatrio to send you the transfer details of the transaction which they made to deutsche bank in order for you to track it and if possible ask them to link you up with a customer representative at deutsche bank

since he is scared of sharing his information, he can send an email with the details to x-patrio using your x-patrio user Id as the subject and he should state he made the payment for you.

okay, if the person is a student, he can use his Id card, if not he can use his passport for the identification. For the proof of address he can use his Anmeldung certificate (Everyone has this in germany).

This people are strict with their rules, you will have to reply them with the Id card and utility bill of the person who made the transfer. Just try and explain to the person who made the transfer for you on your current situation.

Hello guys, when coming, hold at least 400 euro. Its going to take about a week to open a bank account here and also you will need to get a semester ticket to move around to get stuff, this is around 170 euro (I missed my orientation week so I didn't know about this ticket, for 1 week I was enjoying free ride on buses, thinking it was free cheesy

. I almost got caught a certain day, It was then realized). When you are caught by control the penalty is 60 euro. In the case you don't have enough cash to pay for semester ticket yet , you can pay directly to the bus driver around 1 - 3 euro per journey (just tell the driver where you are going, he will tell you the amount).

Also carry enough clothes when you coming. Its not as cheap as you think. I too miss eko market

Apps you might need :

1. DB navigator : for train
2. Google translate app : for translating your german documents to english (very very handy)
3. know the region you are in and download the transport app for that region: the app shows you the time your bus is going to arrive and bus stops. (makes life easy)
you can download myVRN app for (mannheim,heidelberg,ludwigshafen)
VVS app for (stuggart, essliengen)

If you want to do side jobs here, try to learn german before coming if not just mange your 720 euro.

GOODNEWS : Germany new immigration laws has given equal rights to both native German and foreign students/Job seekers i.e there is no longer a priority to check if a citizen or EU national might be able to take the job.
