whitecat2: We all know the president sent Ibu to Lagos-Ogun to perfect what he did in Rivers, and he will not do anything about his latest rants.
Why did Apc sleep through the process that sent Ibu to Lagos/Ogun? They could have at least kicked against it, justifiably so!!
The more outspoken fractions of 'Afenifere' and 'Opc' leaders in the SW have all laughed to the banks counting their gob shares of the missing trillions, leaving the poor to suffer. Who is watching out for the people's interest?
Is Nigeria this screwed that an AIG can threaten and ask his boy police to kill 20 civillians for every police killed, in a country where police is already killing and maiming unarmed innocent citizens, and no one is calling for his head already
Where is the 'Civil Society' in all of these? Foolish and illiterate Op, which day MR IBU became Assistant Inspector General of police? |

Meringe: Sometimes I wonder if you guy know d difference btw UBE job and STate government job. Na wa ooo. My brother is a contractor with the government and we are in the know on how Roche group came to imo state. You guys should stop saying what you don't know cos of politics. Ube jobs we did last year at mbaise was renovation, 98% of ube job is renovation. Rochas built 305 schools in imo state from the scratch . Stop peddling lies here. Rochr group from Ireland drew the design and built most of the school. Ube is a contributory scheme btw federal and state governments. State government pay for its percentage before the money will be released. I've told you to bring the source of your claim of pictures. I'm tired of these trashes oozing out of you. |

Plshavmercyamen: Nwanne, I know she is working very hard for the emergence of Ihedioha but I said what I said to further buttress the point that her assertions are very fallacious and irrational in the circle of well enlightened and articulate minds. And that have forced Ihedioha to restrain himself from making such spurious claim in pubic cos you know, Ihedioha is not an intellectual misfit and he is quite calculative. Sincerely, I kinda like people that exert strong pressure on incumbents cos it wil make them to perform more than they even anticipated. But, at the same time, we should be rational enough to draw the line and not to cross over to that which wil be very destructive and anti masses. Remember, at the end of the day, it's our state and we either share the glory or partake in the shame together. Udo diri gi If all these allegations was leveled against a PDP governor, will you believe it's a lie? Take for example, the 49 billion dollars alleged to have been missing under Jonathan government by former CBN governor, Malam Sanusi? Time shall tell. |

Plshavmercyamen: Nwanne, you should know that I'm on ground. The truth is, If Viola's allegation is true, Ihedioha who is very close to her would have been using it for his campaign and I'm sure Viola would be ready to provide Ihedioha with damning evidence to nail Okorocha. I respect the fact that Viola is trying to make entry into the politico space of Imo State. But, would her revered late husband be happy with the brand of politics she is playing? Anyway, in Politics, especially in election period like this, everybody is guilty. You should reason with me that Okorocha misfired on many fronts. If you believe she's not playing Ihedioha card, you can believe anything. I she contesting any post in Imo state? Did you remember how Okorocha defeated Ohakim? Bad politics. Plshavmercyamen: Rochas have made it abundantly clear that those projects are Imo state government's and as a matter of fact, he has asked Viola to go ahead and either complete the remaining ones or initiate new ones if It's truely federal government sponsored. And we know til date known of the projects with UBE inscription have been completed cos it's ownership is stil in contention and the state government have stalled works on those ones. And haven't you noticed that of all the completed schools, none is with the UBE inscription? The kinda politics Viola is playing is very dangerous and Imolites might not forgive her quickly in time to come. Aren't u also bothered that even Ihedioha, Iheanacho, Ukanacho et al have not even DIRECTLY accused Rochas in the open of what Viola is accusing him of?Udo diri gi The fact that she's the only one attacking Okorocha's deceptions in education sector in Imo state is because she knows more than anybody in Imo state, because she's minister of education. Imo people should be thankful for her. I expected you to come with a link to your story, without that, it's difficult to believe you. |

APContherun: It's even a greater disservice for Okorocha to assert ab initio that the projects were state sponsored with acknowledging the FG's contribution to them. Those projects for those who know are UBEC projects just like most projects in IMSU and other tertiary institutions across the country are TETfund projects. The claim by Okorocha's govt that he's building 305 schools so singlehandedly needs to be condemned by all and sundry. Prof Onwuliri's only sin is that she just exposed the lies in those claims of Okorocha. You're right. |

Plshavmercyamen: Nwanne, both of us are enlightened enough to decipher the truth from "sensibility insulting propapanda" like that of Viola. Is the 305 upstairs schools fed govt project? If yes, is the gesture only for Imo State? If Yes, from which intervention fund did it come from and If No, where is the replica of those schools in other states of the federation? If you're truely an Imolite, the least I expect from u is not to play politics with something that is very laudable and beneficial to average Imolites political affiliation not withstanding. Udo diri gi I respect you as one of the few sensible and responsible commentators here. I would like you to tell us with facts what Okorocha and Imo state government did to disprove the allegations after federal government marked those school with UBE inscriptions.

Plshavmercyamen: Viola Onwuliri should not change the love and respect most Imolites had/have for her late husband to hate. She has been playing a dangerous brand of politics that even the male hawks/politicians in Imo State dread to play. Viola should be cautioned by the people that love her cos we don't play malicious politics in Imo State and if she dares to introduce it, Imolites wil respond proportionately and it might not pan out good for her and the good reputation her late husband built. Udo diri unu What is her sin? That she opened the eyes of Imolites to Okorocha's darkness cover? Until Okorocha tell us what he did with 3 billion naira he sold ADAPALM, he will never have peace. How can he claim to have used the money for construction of 305 schools which are federal government projects. Wayo governor. |

eyeview: This is the Rochas version of the story ooo. The news that earlier broke was that Rochas organised some people that accused the woman of killing her husband. The former VC that died in a plane crash. He further mocked her widowhood. On hearing the governor do this to one of their own,the state umbrella body that protects widows came out to protest in anger against the governor. But on instruction,a commissioner mobilized some thugs who beat up the women around Okigwe road leading to wethral Road. The commissioner was said to have been physically there supervising the beatings. The thugs thereafter seized the video camera of the NTA staff for videoing it. Some of the widows were really wounded. It had to take the intervention of the military from Obinze command to save the widows. When the governor returned,he stated that the widows were hired from the PDP led Abia state to tarnish his image. They never even got to the government house talkless of dropping any coffin. And trust Rochas to call out the Royal fathers and Traditional Rulers at the slightest thing, most of them don't like the governor as he treats them with disdain and disrespect. Its necessary that readers have a balanced view before passing judgement God bless you, since this woman opened our eyes to see the grand deceptions of Okorocha's 419 government, Imo has never been the same. It's a shame to know that Okorocha's 305 brand new schools he claimed to have built are actually federal government project. Why persecuting the poor widow instead of disproving her claim with facts. APC is evil, anywhere you go. |

bokohalal: Death sentence for drug mules: The Buhari regime is also notorious for sentencing to death those convicted of drug trafficking with Decree 20. However, nothing caused more uproar than the retroactive application of the laws even though this has been disputed. Bartholomew Owoh, Bernard Ogedengbe and Lawal Ojulope were made to face the firing squad. Some argue that Owoh was the only one arrested BEFORE the promulgation of the decree. In April 1985, six Nigerians were convicted by a Special Military Tribunal headed by Justice Adebayo Adesalu and condemned to death for drug trafficking: Mrs. Sidikatu Tairi, Miss Sola Oguntayo, Oladele Omosebi, Lasunkanmi Awolola, Jimi Adebayo and Gladys Iyamah.
I remember clearly one of the women fainting upon hearing the death sentence and prison officials had to come to her rescue. Gladys Iyamah, locked up at the Federal Maximum Security Prisons in Kirikiri, Lagos, was a crippled mother of two and was the first woman in the history of Nigeria to be sentenced to death. The Federal Military Government knew the implication of executing a paralysed mother of two and the sentence was secretly approved. But thankfully, it was never carried out. Your source please. |
