Horllamideh: If you are questioning the qualification use for recruiting soldiers into the millitary in the 1960's,it means you guys will be curious to know how Ojukwu recruited soldiers into the Biafran army during the civil war as lot and lot of Igbo youths are coerced into joining the army.A time came when they are in short of foot soldiers and are even thinking of forcing old men into joining the force. Before a good WASC is enough to land one a good teaching job but not anymore....A sign of progress in Nigeria...And there is also cases of minimum requirement. The fact that you scored A's in the 5 core subjects doesn't mean that you and me with my 3Bs and 2Cs can't land the same course in the university You can do more than this. |

Avedon: Do you have proof to substantiate your claim?
Based on your previous posts, you are too intelligent to lay such allegation against the northern saint (GMB) I hope you're a Nigerian, living in Nigeria. Since this presidential election started, the president had been attacked more than two times including bomb blast in Gombe. None of the attack happened in the south. All happened in the north, North East precisely, the home zone of Buhari, the operating base of boko haram. THINK. |

Bone-headed lies designed to satisfy the cravings of ethnic jingoists.
For good or bad, the following is what General Tarfa actually said.
Source: http://www.dailytrust.com.ng/weekly/index.php/new-news/19039-it-s-absurd-to-say-buhari-has-no-certificate-gen-tarfa Why did you bring the edited version from from dailytrust? ..............................................................................…. BUHARI'S principal was my principal. From their school (Katsina Provincial School), the principal, Mr. West was sent to our school. In those days when Nigeria was Nigerianising its military, many of the officers that you are seeing today did not even have their school certificates until long after. When we were invited to go to Kaduna, we were given qualifying examination in English, Mathematics and General Knowledge, even before we took the school certificate exam. Some did not even wait to take their school certificates because vacancies were already waiting for them. It was after that qualifying exam that we were recruited into the army. By the time some had their school certificates, they had become officers. For example, Gen. Babangida never saw his school certificate until when he was head of state. I got my school certificate long after I became an officer. But there was officer cadet qualifying examination. About 240 of us sat for that exam in Kaduna. |

melodyj: I visited Nigeria Railway at Ebute Meta to truly confirmed the current status of our railway system which is one of the basic tools used to campaign by Mr. President. I had a discussion with one of the staff name withheld. The railway staff confirmed that the NRC bought 2 refurbished locomotive with AC with about 5 cabins. We are charging passengers 750 per trip from ifo to Apapa which equal 1500 per day. The cost of Bus from Sango to Apapa is about 300 naira. The staff continued to lament that one of the two refurbished locomotive train has been moved out of Lagos to show to Nigerians in Benue and Enugu as a tool to deceive Nigerians on true position of NRC. He said and i quote '' Oga, leave matter. This goverment is corrupt. We don dey tell them make den return our train back to Lagos to make money. Na the train den show for Benue ,Enugun and other places. Den no buy more than two and NA Tokunbo dem buy. YEYE PEOPLE. Op, You're stupidity knows no bounds. |

barcanista: Well, so far there isn't any proof to disclaim Buhari's SSCE. His secondary school had issued him with result statement. His record showed that the army accepted him with his SS3, before he dis the WASC. What is even the bone of contention? But I heard he said he joined the Army with his principal's recommendation letter. Even the Army said it, why are you defending corruption just because it involved your General? |

barcanista: @OP Ojukwu joined as a graduate and straight to be commissioned. He never had to pass throught any NDA.
Buhari joined with SSCE or SS3 and straight to NDA. He got commissioned after graduating from NDA. This isn't different from what is obtained today. What is your point? Ojukwu did not rise to the peak of his army career because he declared a War against the State. Which is treasonable and get him fired by Gowon administration (you may disagree though). Hence, he paused as a Colonel. Buhari remained in the Army and became Head of State, he was left in his Major General rank because the new junta retired him. He would have been a full General if he had served out his years of service. What is your argument? Save your long story. According to you, Buhari joined the Nigerian Army with SSCE, Why is it becoming impossible by the day to bring it so that all of us will rest. |

Still reacting to General Tarfa's claim that in their time, there was no need for school certificate before entering the Nigerian Army, yet Ojukwu Joined the same army with Oxford University Degree. ..................................... .................................... PLEASE READ. Emeka, as he was fondly called, began his educational career in Kings College, Lagos in southwestern Nigeria. He got into trouble by participating in anti-colonial demonstrations with such seniors as Anthony Enahoro. At 13, his father sent him overseas to Great Britain to study at Epsom College, England. He left Epsom at 18 for Lincoln College, Oxford. At Oxford University, he obtained a bachelor’s degree in modern history. After graduate studies, he retuned to colonial Nigeria. This was in 1956. http://logbaby.com/encyclopedia/the-biography-of-lat_13071.html#.VOAKDJko9zQ................................................................. ........... This is the same army Buhari claimed he joined with principal letter ODUMEGWU OJUKWU joined with Oxford University degree. Is there any reason Buhari should not bring his certificate he joined army with? |

All for political patronage, never knew the valentine's day for the previous 5 years was suspended that it is the year of election that the widows and children of the dead soldiers matters.
The widows and children will appreciate the prompt payment of the benefit of their breadwinner, you and your SUBSIDY SON can continue to eat the rice you cherish. Bla bla bla bla bla bla, is this the first time soldiers are dying in the front? Despite the sophistication of USA military, they've lost thousands of soldiers in Iraq alone .
