Ahead the grand finale rally today at the Eagle Square, Abuja expected to be the high point of the nationwide zonal rallies organized across the country by the Transformation Ambassadors of Nigeria (TAN) to prop up and showcase the many life-enhancing achievements of President Goodluck Jonathan, the President and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces in his first tenure and to urge him to seek reelection in next year's general elections, the whole atmosphere in the Federal Capital Territory(FCT) is buzzing with new look as the major streets have been painted green and white in celebration of the president and TAN. Journalists who went round the city of Abuja yesterday saw thousands of gaily dressed cheerful looking youths adorning colourful TAN t-shirts distributing fliers along major streets with frenzy and passion which signposted their belief in the dream to have President Jonathan re-elected in 2015. Some of the T-shirts bore the inscription, "I love GEJ", "2015: No vacancy in Aso Rock", Jonathan is salt of Nigeria's Unity". At the popular Eagles Square venue of the historic rally, the visibly untiring advocacy crew was seen putting final touches to its beautification, decoration and stage while prominent acts, Musicians and comedians were also seen setting up their stage ahead of today’s event. All major hotels in the FCT were reportedly fully booked as at the beginning of the week and have been turning back guests since then. A resident of the FCT, Mallam Ibrahim Kachalla told journalists that the political advocacy group has taken over the air waves and that little children and adults now sing and dance to the tune of the well-articulated jingles of TAN, even in their sleep. TAN's Director of Operations, Benchuks Nwosu said while speaking with journalists at the corporate headquarter of the advocacy group said that all the machinery have been mobilized toward an hitch free outing. Nwosu thanked all Nigerians, corporate organizations and political parties that have identified with the TAN vision, which he noted has since translated into an unprecedented movement turn out in all the earlier zonal rallies which saw over twelve million individuals signing up for the president who according to him has given a new definition to governance and leadership. He pointed out that with the daily rise in the number of people signing up for the president, it is obvious that the 2015 presidential election will go in favor of Dr Jonathan not minding the antics of oppositions within and without. http://www.elombah.com/index.php/reports/26611-tan-adorns-fct-green-white-for-president-jonathan

I'm impressed with barcanista's expertise in IMAGE DRY CLEANING. He failed woefully to remind us that 90% of the backwardness staring us in our face is caused by Buhari’s termination of our democracy in 1984. I will forgive him because he was not born by then. All those supporting him know that he is the worst man for the job, but because they don't have any other viable option that can touch the president’s tail during the race. In some countries, such person like him should be in jail for mutiny. I don't expect my children to forgive me for supporting a man who was the president when I was in primary school to come back as President again, 30 years after. Wait o o, today is TAN GRAND FINALE RALLY. I'm off. |
hardywaltz:You're right. |
Segeggs:Oh my God, can't you comprehend,? In his speech, he made it clear that bringbackourgirls campaign is led by APC members. Ordinarily, It's not a shocking discovery because the Boko Haram is also lead by APC members. |
Segeggs:Audu Ogbe confirmed the allegation while the crowd during Buhari Declaration. |
naijababe:The whole mystery will be unveiled this time around. |

Nigeria's military says it has agreed a ceasefire with Islamist militants Boko Haram - and that the schoolgirls the group has abducted will be released. Nigeria's chief of defence staff, Alex Badeh, announced the truce. Boko Haram has not made a public statement. The group has been fighting an insurgency since 2009, with some 2,000 civilians reportedly killed this year. Boko Haram sparked global outrage six months ago by abducting more than 200 schoolgirls. The girls were seized in the north-eastern town of Chibok in Borno state, and their continued captivity has led to criticism of the Nigerian government's efforts to secure their release. Members of the Bring Back Our Girls campaign said in a tweet on Friday: "We are monitoring the news with huge expectations." 'Cautiously optimistic' Air Chief Marshal Badeh revealed the truce at the close of a three-day security meeting between Nigeria and Cameroon. He said Nigerian soldiers would comply with the agreement. Media caption Nigeria's chief of defence staff, Alex Badeh, announced the ceasefire to the media Nigerian presidential aide Hassan Tukur told BBC Focus on Africa that the agreement was sealed after a month of negotiations, mediated by Chad. As part of the talks, a government delegation twice met representatives of the Islamist group. Mr Tukur said Boko Haram had announced a unilateral ceasefire on Thursday and the government had responded. "They've assured us they have the girls and they will release them," he said. "I am cautiously optimistic." He said arrangements for their release would be finalised at another meeting next week in Chad's capital, Ndjamena. The negotiations are said to have the blessing of Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau, reports the BBC's Chris Ewokor in Abuja. Media caption Boko Haram means "Western education is forbidden" in Hausa Speaking to the BBC, Nigerian government spokesman Mike Omeri said Boko Haram would not be given territory under the ceasefire agreement - and that the government would not reveal what concessions it would make. "We are inching closer to release of all groups in captivity, including the Chibok girls," he said. http://m.bbc.com/news/world-africa-29665165 |
ratiken:I love the enthusiasm by gbawe and co, but one thing they must know is that, NO MATTER HOW FAT A GOAT BECOMES, IT CAN NEVER REACH HALF THE SIZE OF COW. Buhari is overhyped, overestimated, overpriced quantity. Tell me, what type of magic is expected of Buhari this time? Making some unfounded allegations can never guarantee a ticket to Aso Rock. I live in Port Harcourt, I know how unwilling people where coarsed, cajoled, bribed, forced to attend the so called "EARTH SHAKING" Buhari Declaration. All na wash. |
Did I hear warning? Ok na. |
egift:hmmmm. |

baccaspace:You're right. |
baccaspace:Fayemi has created an unnecessary enmity with Fayose. How APC thinks they can outplay PDP in the game of politics is what I don't know. APC will surely suffer in the hands of Fayose. |
priscaoge:Thanks my lady, it's unfortunate that both NTA and AIT are all off air in my cable network. |
tosingcfr:Are you not happy? |
