The Abia State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Umuahia, the state capital, has upheld the victory of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, who was candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the April 11 election.
The tribunal in a ruling delivered on Tuesday dismissed the petition of candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, in that election, Mr. Alex Otti.
1. I am of the opinion that the call for Biafra is legitimate: Firstly, Biafra existed before Nigeria was created. It was made up of people with similar cultures and language (with majority tribe being Igbo). It is perfectly legitimate for the original inhabitants of the country to yearn to have back their country and resources under their control. However, [b] I do not believe that Biafra is a viable solution at this time.
@bolded, you made sense for the first time. But whether biafra is the viable solution to Nigeria's problem shouldn't concern biafrans.
2. [[b] During the Biafran war it is estimated that at least 1 million people of largely Igbo extraction were killed! This is no doubt in mind a genocide. However, the Nigerian government has made a fundamental mistake by:
a. Not recognizing it ever took place, or playing down the number of those that died for political reasons, only serve to fuel violence and the call for secession. b. They have also made a major mistake by not even having a memorial day to remember those that died during the genocide - This action alone will give a sense of belonging and would foster a deepened National unity
It's more than 3 million Biafran women and children was Massacred by evil Nigeria government.
Nigerian government don't need to remember them, we do, on every 30pt May.
i. The Eastern Goverments are fundamentally corrupt; A visit to present day Imo and Abia will attest to the corruption and rot that have plagued the region. These leaders have all FAILED to develop the east with the resources given to them. If they had made the East the "dubai" of Nigeria, everyone including the international community would have taken the cry for Biafra serious. The argument would be if the "Biafran leaders" can develop their region with the "little" resources given them, it is only fair they secede and do even more for their people and their region. However, this is not the case. A Biafran state lwill only lead to another mini civil war, and a fight for resources and wealth among Biafrans.
Before branding biafrans as very corrupt. How many biafrans are in the most corrupt list in Nigeria.
1. Oluesgun Obasanjo – He stole $25 billion from 1999-2007 ($16.4 from power sector alone)

He’ll soon be a minister to continue the looting.

12. Atiku Abubakar – When he as asked by our reporter how he made his money, he simply said “he was always at the right place at the right time.” Atiku is an astute businessman, but through shady deals, he stole $500 million from 1999-2007.

15. DSP Alamieyeseigha – He stole $120 million and was arrested for money laundering. He pleaded guilty and long served his term.
16. Sule Lamido – He stole $110 million between 2007-2015 and out of that amount, $50 million was found in his sons’ bank accounts. He was arrested and detained for days together with his sons.

19. Rauf Aregbesola – he has milked Osun State to the tune of $60 million.
20. Kayode Fayemi – this former governor stole $40 million and stashed some part of the loot in Ghana. He was reportedly bought a bed for N50 million
As for resources control, it's already in biafra constitution. Check it out.
. Release Nnamdi Kanu immediately! Sit down with him and lay out your plans to resolve this issue. It would be a disservice to the Igbo people to compare the rise of Boko Haram with this present agitation, but history has thought us that as dynamic and complex Nigeria is, we MUST as a matter of urgency address the agitation of the Biafrans, before it metastasize to a problem bigger than Nigeria. A stitch in time saves nine!
Let's watch and see.
Wait o o, so cramjones get small sense like this, or the moniker is being handled by Beremx as promised?
Some angry mob on Wednesday stripped two women naked for stealing N100,000 from a wine shop at Dutsen Alhaji market, Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT.
It was learnt that the women who pretended to be buying some items on Wednesday entered into the shop at the market and while one of the women approached the shop owner and negotiating the price of a bottle of wine, her accomplice dipped her hand into the drawer and removed N100,000.
According to an eyewitness, “She was about to walk away with the money when the shop owner who had seen her raised the alarm which attracted other traders,” the witness said.
The eyewitness further stated that traders, who noticed what had transpired, pounced on the two women and stripped them naked in the process.
The timely intervention of the police saved them from been lynched and the Police quickly whisked them away from the market.
Confirming the incident, the Dutse Divisional Police Officer, SP Hajiya Aisha Yusuf said the suspects have been charged to court.
BALLOSKI: if Audu received 16.8 billion from 99 to 2003 , with all he did including building a university, paying salaries, building the commissioners quatersquarters and others, and you think he stole 11 billion, then you need help.
Don't just justify what omenka and ngene say about u.
I Don't care to know what those hypocrites are saying about me. To you, it's unbelievable that a governor can steal up to 11 billion naira simply because such fellow is contesting for electoral position under APC. Yet, you and your fellow hypocrites believe that a minister can steal Billions of dollars .
As information continues to emerge of the billions of dollars of public funds that Nigeria’s former Petroleum Minister, Diezani Alison-Madueke, stole with the help of cohorts she handpicked, the embattled former minister is apparently playing the sick card in the United Kingdom where she has spent most of her time since ex-President Goodluck Jonathan lost his reelection bid.
sonOfLucifer: OP, Science isn't the Bible. TRY to read up on Science itself instead of defining it by what the Bible says. Afterall, Science is independent of the Bible and the Quran. The Muslim would see 'Scientific' accuracies in his Quran where there is none or little, why the Christian would also do likewise with his Bible.
80million1: Reclaiming the Nigeria Dream... I've spoken to a lot of people in different parts of the country, I have addressed various groups and sub groups, and one of the most frequently asked questions is... How can we make our nation better, what can we do? The answer I always give them is; You be an agent of positive change. The issue before us right now isn't about North vs South or Hausas vs Igbos, Yorubas vs the South South. The Issue is bigger than that... It's about our past vs our future. It's about where we are coming from vs where we are going to. Let's see ourselves as brothers and not two distant strangers. We can reclaim the Nigeria Dream. God bless Nigeria. Watch Olamide Adenuga talk about... Reclaiming the Nigeria dream. It's just a 3 minutes inspirational talk, clips of my program on startimes. Kindly watch, download and help share with others. QuotaSystem: The result of poor education in our schools.
Do you even realize oil - the mainstay of our economy - sold for over $100/barrel under GEJ which they looted, compared to now that we're earning less than half than amount ($35-$50/barrel) with the same bills?
If the clueless and incompetent hack had invested our income when we were selling at a surplus into diversifying the economy into mining, agriculture etc, we would not be crying today that oil prices have fallen. Instead the chronic klepto and his minions fleeced the treasury and bled the excess crude account dry, before cluelessly blaming the governors.
Stop defending mediocrity. Isn't it because of falling oil prices that made him to promise stabilising world oil prices? Wetin dey hold am?

You just ended up saying nothing. The fact remains that bible is the Supreme book.
DaBullIT: I do not know where this is coming from but
. Let me say it once and for all
Afenifere's views and statements does not represent that of all Yoruba or Oodua descendants and I will appreciate if fellow yorubas can add their own voices
Let's nip this shyt at the bud before it comes back to bite us in the arse
Hypocrite, but you people take everything that comes from mouth of every Ohaneze member, even youth wing as representing the mind of all Igbo people.
So unfortunate.

FULANI HERDSMEN: Afenifere fires back at Kwankwaso
* Describes ex-gov’s remarks as clash of civilizations within the "Lugard cage"
By Dapo Akinrefon PAN-YORUBA socio-political organisation, Afenifere, has faulted remarks made by former governor of Kano State, Senator Rabiu Kwakwanso, who allegedly justified the activities of Fulani herdsmen in the South West. Senator Kwakwanso had said over the weekend that “the issue of conflict between the farmers and Fulani herdsmen is not common to the South west alone. It is not even common to Nigeria. It is all over the sub region.
In a statement, Afenifere’s publicity secretary, Mr. Yinka Odumakin said “In a replay of the sordid episode of 2000 when Arewa leaders rudely stormed the office of then Oyo state governor, Alhaji Lam Adesina on behalf of nomadic cattle rearers, former Kano state governor and serving Senator, Rabiu Kwakwanso came with verbal daggers to the same city at the weekend asking the age mates of his father to “shut up.” According to him, it is another sad day for the clash of civilizations within the Lugard cage when a man who has occupied all the offices Kwakwanso has held, opens his mouth in a people’s domain and all he vomits make listeners to confuse him with a herdsman or Boko Haram chieftain.” The statement reads: “Kwankwaso’s grouse with Yoruba leaders was our call for an end to the criminal activities of Fulani herdsmen in the region at the recent summit in Ibadan and that the Yoruba nation may reconsider its place in a union that could not protect us and would not allow us to protect ourselves if we did not see any sign to restructure Nigeria into a proper federation. “The declaration is not anywhere near the statement of Gen Yakubu Gowon on August 3 1966: “there is no basis for Nigerian unity, which has been so badly rocked, not only once but several times.” or the theme of the North’s revenge coup of July 29,1967 titled ARABA, an Hausa word meaning “let us divide it”. In addition, Afenifere said “In all his ramblings in Ibadan, Kwakwanso did not condemn the abduction of Chief Olu Falae, the killing of innocent farmers, raping of women and destruction of crops and farmlands in the course of the grazing activities of Fulani herdsmen. He only tacitly justified their activities by offering excuses for their criminal conducts.” “The issue that we are talking about, education is very important. If all Fulani are given opportunity to go to school, I don’t think they will risk their lives and their animals going into the bush, where there are reptiles. I think the key thing is education. “Kwakwanso wants Yoruba “understanding of the situation” while his kinsmen continue to draw their blood, violating their women and destroying their farmlands until Mallam decides to give them education may be when we celebrate another centenary. “The double speak of Kwakwanso is galling as he was a few months ago celebrating the hordes of Almajiris in the north as a positive development that provides a demography that could easily be herded for electoral process. “Rabiu Kwakwanso in an interview he granted Vanguard Newspaper on April 26,2015, lambasted the wife of former President of Nigeria for “insulting” the north over the menace of Almajiri children which he considered a thing of ‘pride,’ saying, “Look at what the wife of the President said about us-northerners. She was just castigating the North almost at every opportunity. You cannot insult us and think that you can get away with it. This democracy is a game of numbers, and that is why we went back and put almajiris together to get about two million votes.
“The issue of almajiris have been opened to abuse in this country and turned into insults for us. Almajiri here is a positive word but the way they see it is that we are beggars, that we produce so many children that we cannot take care of, and that is what the First Lady was saying and we kept quiet because we had our own way of answering her and we did exactly that on the 28th of March.” “Kwankwanso further said that the Fulani should be given the opportunity to go to school as if the Yoruba were the ones who denied them such opportunity in almost 40 years that the north has held power since independence. “With the uncouth, rude and insensitive remarks of Kwankwaso and his ilk in the North which are like pouring salt on injury, it is coming clear to us that there may be a grand agenda with the activities of the Fulani herdsmen either as an advance party of Boko Haram into our territory or an expansionist project. “The Yoruba leaders therefore stand by every word in the Ibadan declaration,” said Odumakin.
Beremx: na so! I don't pity him because he has shown his true colors. He's just like Edwin Clark who is anti-igbo but decided to pretend he loves Igbos because of Jonathan and then returns to be an Igbo hater because the romance between him and Jonathan is over.
Such people don't deserve pity. I hope my Igbo brothers have seen who their backstabber is?
CyberWolf: The one that pained me most is that his brother in the crime, Truckpusher openly said that Igbos voted GEJ because of greed and lust for oil money so I heard.. ...Hmmm Nawa oo
jpphilips: You wake consciousness before instituting the Legitimate process? let me guess, part of awakening that consciousness entails committing treasonable felony? of what use is your education if you really bought into that strategy? Why do you need to "wake consciousness" if the people involved really need the so called Biafra? Do you need anybody to wake your consciousness to pee? Admit it, the so called "consciousness you are awakening" involves spreading hate speeches & fabricating half truths that is what Radio Biafra is achieving and nothing more.
You will really awaken the minds of people on Biafra but when the big decision comes, people will definitely count their loses, if you doubt me monitor the following events quite closely.
** While you extended your Biafra space to include the Niger delta over the radio as part of your "awakening false consciousness" does it stop Ikwerres from threatening Genocide on you guys in Portharcourt if you don't stop your Biafran madness on their soil? there was even a thread yesterday advising Biafra to avoid Portharocurt completely, do you still think the so called consciousness is awakened? Don't you think that phase of propaganda has failed on Arrival?
** A thread just propped up over the weekend on the IGR strength of Nigeria states and it became clearer that the Biafran alliance is a parasitic one where the Niger delta will feed the unproductive SE? don't you think that you have failed already with that mission at least it wont be long before you will limit your Biafra consciousness in the SE alone, where more revelations of your Geography has been exposed and the unviability of that region thrashed.
You don't have the monopoly of propaganda as such the only consciousness you will likely awaken are the consciousness of motor park touts, apprentices in the various markets, Keke drivers etc, the elite can only sip coffee and wait for the referendum which is the real deal, Believe me or not, Radio Biafra is making a mess of your Biafran struggle.
All the odds against you are your natural vulnerabilities, the Nigerian state is yet to adopt a position what do you think will happen when they eventually do? I told someone on another thread that if I was the director of the National Orientation agency, I will make sure that every TV and Radio station in Nigeria will be reading out the land use act, twice daily.
By the time Biafrans are made to choose between their SE land locked Biafra and their source of livelihood, you will be amazed how many Biafran votes you will get in your referendum when you are ready. perhaps Nigeria is waiting to surprise you guys, they may want you to gain your independence first before doling out their unfavorable policies like they did in 1970, declare "no victor no vanquished" but took all your money and properties in some regions.
You guys need to come up with serious contingency plans that will accommodate any eventualities not unleashing rogue miscreants based in the Uk to be disturbing our Nigerian peace.

Chief Checkwas Okorie, founder of embattled All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, in this interview, calls on President Buhari administration to be creative in addressing Biafra agitation issue.
The agitation for Biafra has continued several decades after civil war. What is the problem?
The issue for the agitation for Biafra has to do with agitation for self-determination by people wish to be treated with fairness, equity and justice. Most of the young men on the street agitating for Biafra were born after the war and so looks like they do not know what led to the war. They cannot understand why their own people since they were born are invariably different from their peers in other parts of the country. The South-east has suffered the most neglect from the Federal Government of Nigeria in terms of road construction. Even under former President Jonathan’s administration, it was not any better. The Buhari’s administration has just begun, so we cannot blame him that much. The matter was not picked up because Buhari became President; the Biafran agitation had been there practically since early 90s. But if Buhari manages to address the agitation, the issue will die down. After all the Niger-Delta militancy preceeded the late President Yar’Adua. But his political moves doused the tension in that region with the initiative of amnesty. It was the mismanagement of the Boko-Haram issue by the extra judicial killings of their leader that generated trouble in that region andt has turned to war in Nigeria. Arresting of agitators of the emancipation of Biafran state in my view, we have not learning from the Boko-Haram experience.
The promoter of Biafra Radio, Nnamdi Kanu, has been arrested by the DSS sparking protests in some major Igbo towns. What is the way out?
The government should release him unconditionally. If government feels her right has been infringed upon, she can go to court to press charges against him. You are aware that he has good lawyers to defend him. If care is not taken, it will become a celebrated case that would be tried under Nigeria laws. Because we have heard about radio Kudirat, it was not a properly registered radio. One of the ministerial nominees, Kayode Fayemi, said he had headed an illegal radio station before. Even the pro-APC radio that operated during the campaign period was not properly registered. I have not listened to Radio Biafra to know its position but I was informed that it is aggressive. It is people’s choice to decide to tune to it or not to. I understand there have been attempts to use technology to jam the frequency of the radio but the attempts appear to have failed. The arrest of Boko-Haram leader Muhammed Yusuf was given as reason for the violence and spread of Boko-haram that has developed into a full-blown war in the North-east. The fact that so many people came out to protest the arrest of Nnamdi Kanu shows he has a very large followership! And the followership may result into violent force, if mismanaged and I don’t think Nigeria can afford another violent crisis at this point in time we are battling Boko-Haram. We were able to manage Niger-Delta militancy very well, we should device a creative way to address the issue of agitation.
But does these not show that the Igbo question has not been addressed adequately?
Precisely, that is what I imply. The Igbo expectation have not been met and government policies are not adequately implemented. The entire South-east area is ravaged by erosion, unusable roads, the Second Niger-Brigde has become what politicians use as campaign. We are not even talking about representation at the centre. I believe strongly that government is yet to perform up to expectations.
But don’t you think some set of Igbo are over reacting on the issue?
The Igbo are very constrained, there are so many things that happened to Igbo leaders that will never happen to northern leaders and Nigeria will remain the same. There are so many intolerable utterances Igbo are swallowing. Was that what led to your agitating in the last National Conference for peaceful means of break-up ingrained in our Constitution? I saw it as a lasting solution to the whole problem. Don’t forget that every region including South, East and West has always agitated for true federalism. This true federalism has been frustrated by those benefiting at the structure Nigeria is presently running. The exit clause that I advocated for was nothing out of proportion. There is an exit clause in ethopian constitution. We also have an exit clause in the constitution of Canada; that is why every 10years, there is always a referendum to review their being together. The one that took place in scotland sometime ago is an example of where there was a referendum to opt-out of United Kingdom! How did Britain handle it, they made more concession to the Scottish people and most Scottish felt with the concession there was no need opting out of a bigger union and they voted in favour of the union.
How do you think President Buhari should address the Ndigbo question?
President Buhari just assumed office. He is taking his time to organise his cabinet. Although few changes are there that benefit everybody because is not only Igbo people that are enjoying electricity or benefit from his anti-corruption efforts, but the specific need of the South-East people is citizenship right because they are the ones who are more dispersed and more settled in other parts of Nigeria than any other ethnic group. So the citizens right is very crucial to the igbo interest. We expect that he addresses issues as they are brought to him. And if he is unable to address them, its will become subject of the next election in constitutional change of power.
EUROBOMBER: I have been asking myself why the blind hatred for President Buhari by a majority of Igbos.
Let us analyse Buhari’s heart towards the Igbos starting from 2003 when he first contested to become a civilian president. Buhari’s first choice was an Igbo man in the person of the late Dr. Chuba Okadigbo. Buhari lost that election to the then incumbent president Olusegun Obasanjo.
Buhari had another chance to contest for the presidency and still reached out to the Igbos by selecting another of our son in the person of late Chief Edwin Ume-Ezeoke. He lost again to the late president Yar ‘Ardua.
Let me add here that despite the fact that Buhari saw the Igbos as his first choice, we never gave him the block votes he deserved on these two occasions when he selected our sons.
He later on selected Pastor Tunde Bakare a Yoruba and lost yet again in 2011. He waited until 2015 when he selected Prof Yemi Osibanjo and won the elections this time because no matter how hard we tried to defend Jonathan, his performance was abysmal and a second tenure under the weak Jonathan would have seen Nigeria completely go to the dogs because he was never in control of power.
My question to my Igbo brothers is why this blind and unnecessary hatred for Buhari? What wrong has Buhari done to us if I may ask? This man wanted to be president and saw it fit to come to us first time, second time and we still hate him so much? Where will this crass hatred take us to if not to destruction?
