handie:
Biafranqueen, phockphockman and every south easterner spoiling for war. Lemme ask u one question: Have u seen war? Have u bothered asking those people who witnessed d civil way to share d horrors of war with you? Do u think the south east can bear the economic and social effect of a new war(remember, the effects of the 1967-1970 war is still being felt) do u believe the east can realistically battle against the rest of the country? The east doesn't even have an army the last time I checked. War is something we should all pray to avoid. You might not be a victim but what of d children in the villages? Pls read there was a country by Chinua Achebe and try search pictures of d starvation and epidemic occurred as a result of that war. My take on d appointments: The INEC appointment was based on seniority(should he go against laid down procedures just to satisfy ur tribe) As for his ADC, CSO, and state chief of protocol, we both know northerners are more into the army(for every 1 eastern army officer, u get @ least 5 northern officers). For the Post of the AGN, an exam was written and d best was selected. As for Garba Shehu and Femi Adesina's appointments, those men actually contributed to his election(particularly Garba Shehu who was d presidential campaign spokesman) or should he ditch people who struggled with him just to satisfy u? As for Ekweremadu, if the South east produced senators from the APC, there won't have been an argument as to where the SENATE PRESIDENCY not even the deputy would have headed. So, to make ibos feel good, they should neglect people who actually worked to see the administration come to fruition? Wait till every appointment is made. For now, pls stop spoiling for war cause the East will be worst hit..... Not forgetting the ibos' assets outside the southeast. Nnamdi Kalu is just seeking relevance. In d event of war, he'll simply take his things and run outta Nigeria. BTW, thanks to Gowon, Awolowo, Obasanjo, Murtala Mohammed, Muhammadu Buhari and every soldier who fought to keep Nigeria one.... If not for them, I might not have met Chioma the love of my life

Stop deceiving the gullibles. It was clear to us that Buhari’s presidency is continuation of war against Igbos.
Imagine that his first impact to Igbos is to relocate Terrorists to East.

How many votes did you fools give Buhari? Almost zero, so expect almost zero appointment. Abia gave Buhari 13,394 votes and you expect same appointment as Kano that gave him 1,903,999 votes. Please wake up from you sleep. When ministerial list comes out, you will get only Junior Ministers just like Musiliu Obanikoro that was appointment Minster of State II for foreign affairs, which is like Assistant Deputy Minister.
I'm not blaming Buhari, because I never expected anything positive from him, but those who claims to see tomorrow on behalf of Igbos.

If you can't maintain your area, take your business to Onitsha or wait and let the government clean it.

Buhari Led APC have started attacking Igbo interest starting with the demolition of a major market in Lagos

Ladipo Market Demolished

01 Jul 2015

Some armed men and officials suspected to be working for Mushin Local Government in Lagos and supported by a team of policemen on Tuesday morning invaded Ladipo Auto Spare Parts Market and demolished shops in the market.

During the demolition exercise, the traders were barred from entering the market in Mushin to remove their goods from the shops.

According to PM News, the armed men were battle ready to forestall any resistance from the traders as the demolition was going on.

The traders were also not allowed to get near the entrance into the market as heavy-duty vehicles were seen taking sand and gravel into the market to commence work after the demolition.

The chairman of the market and president of the central market union, Kingsley Ogunor, said he was not informed before they came for the demolition which threw the entire market into confusion.

In front of the market gate was a banner placed by those suspected to be behind the demolition with the inscription: Proposed Commercial Development of Mushin, Lagos.

It was also written on the banner that Mushin Local Government in conjunction with a developer known as Total Value Integrated Services Limited is to commence building of a modern plaza market in place of the present stalls being demolished.

The duration for the completion of the project was stated as 18 months.

During a visited to the market yesterday morning, some of the traders expressed their surprise over the development and said they were not given any notice, neither was there any court judgment asking them to vacate the stalls.

At the time of this report, the traders had started protesting over the demolition and had moved to the Mushin council secretariat to complain about what they alleged as illegal demolition.

At the council, the secretary, Mr. Babajide Bello was not around to comment on the matter.

The information officer, Mr. Akin Akinwunmi was not also around and did not pick calls at the time of this report.

A developer carried out a similar action some time last year and it did not amount to anything as the traders held on to their stalls.

It was not yet clear if it is the same developer that is behind the latest demolition.

“I was with another colleague of mine on a visit to the command, when some smugglers, who claimed that journalists have been writing negative stories about them, pounced on me”
“While beating me, they threatened to kill me so as to serve as deterrent to journalists writing stories about them.
“I was there with the correspondent of Tide Newspaper, thank God a friend from Rotary Club came to take me away, I would have been dead, because I was left there almost lifeless.
“These hoodlums are not unknown. They are known to everybody, but they are above the law. They even told me that they have killed many people and nothing happened”
Meanwhile, Olomofe has called on the Inspector General of police to come to his rescue saying his life is no longer safe .

PoliticsBuhari’s 30 Days In Office: All Motion, No Movement — PDP. by PhockPhockMan(op): 3:55am On Jun 29, 2015
Reviewing the actions and inactions of the administration in the first 30 days, the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP called for prayers for an administration it claims has shown no movement or motion.

The party spoke through its spokesman, Chief Olisa Metuh.
“We urge Nigerians to join hands in prayers and offer useful suggestions to President Muhammadu Buhari and the APC because with what we have seen in the last 30 days, the present administration is finding it very difficult to get its bearings right while showing no inclination towards implementing its numerous campaign promises for which they were voted into office at the center.
“We are deeply worried that the President who promised to unveil his cabinet two weeks after his inauguration, has not been able to decide on key appointments such as ministers, Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), a Chief of Staff and advisers in key sectors of the economy.
“This is more so as the delay has brought government business in ministries, departments and agencies to a dangerous standstill with coordination of important policies vested on ministers and the SGF now in tatters while the system drifts. This situation also creates loopholes through which overzealous persons around that President can connive with unscrupulous elements in the bureaucracy to syphon public resources in addition to possibly misleading the President to violate due process by spending beyond and outside his statutory limits.
“The situation is taking its toll on the economy sector, which has in the 30 days witnessed unprecedented decline with a terrifying crippling of foreign and domestic investments including activities in the money and capital market sectors. Under President Buhari, the stock market has lost over N238 billion while the All-Share Index fell by 849.87 basis points as at June 19.
“In security, apart from the directive to relocate the counter terrorism command center to Borno state and seeking assistance from foreigners, no other concrete step has been taken in the fight against insurgency which the President in his April 22, 2015 CNN interview promised to end within his two months in office.
“Instead, the anti-terrorism effort has completely lost steam in the last 30 days, with insurgents, who had already been pushed to the verge of surrender in the Sambisa forest by the Goodluck Jonathan administration, now surging back and spreading into the country.
“In this regard, we urge the President to confront insurgency and issues of national security with all the vigour they deserve while calling for restrain from actions capable of destroying the fabrics of security intelligence. We also urge for adequate respect for all organs of internal security such as the Directorate of State Security (DSS), which is answerable to the Nigerian state and as such should not be publicly ridiculed by an aide of the President.
“In the same vein, we are disturbed by the ominous signals emanating from the atrocious attempt by the APC to undermine and appropriate the federal legislature resulting in the disruption of lawful proceedings and forced closure of the National Assembly, the symbol of our collective national identity as a democratic state. In this direction, we urge the Presidency and the APC to imbibe democratic tenets and respect the independence of that arm of government.
“Finally, while we remind the President and the APC that their campaign promises are bonds which must be fulfilled, we urge him to use the next ten days to set up his government by naming his ministers, the SGF and advisers in critical sectors as Nigerians did not vote for a sole administrator but for a democratic government”.
