Divine88: You are not alone. Am in the same situation too. I did my online submission on 07/12/2020, Biometric on 07/01/2021. Got the usual covid delay email 2 weeks later and since then nothing else. I have also been following some forums, few people are in the same boat especially application submitted early dec 2020 to early Jan 2021. All we can do is wait. I guess it's a waiting game now. I just want it out of the way to move on to some other things....fingers crossed we don't have to wait to long. |

Hi house, hopefully everyone has been safe all through the pandemic. I'd like to find out if this is happened to someone else or it's 1 of them random situation. Basically, BRP expired 27/12/20 and did renew before then. Attended biometric capturing appt on the 22/01/21. Paid £134 for that. Then sometimes in Feb i get an email from home office that normally they strive to make decisions on applications within 8wks but mine will take longer than that as my status has automatically being extended. And till date it's been radio silence from them, which is starting to get me worried as to why it's taking to long or perhaps if something is wrong with my application. Please is anyone here having the same issue or got the same email. Thanks |

MreSBee: Thanks Phoenix77. I’ve just finished the payment now using my naira MasterCard and it worked. Yaay. Lol. I used two cards (one for IHS and the other for the main application). Thanks for the assistance. Appreciate it. Now the application is done now... going in for biometrics next wed. Fingers crossed.
Please I am seeing something that’s a bit not clear on the TLs website. They are saying something like I have to still bring in all my supporting documents to the biometrics appointment for scanning to UKVI. How true is this cos I’ve been hearing and actually know is to let your sponsor/partner send the documents direct to Sheffield hence all my support long docs have been sent to Wifey. Please can anyone make clarification on this. Thanks Just ignore that..its a standard msg...just tell them ur docs are already on the way to Sheffield...i didnt go with mine and my bio went smoothly...the person attending to me sef was kinda glad cos it both saved us stress...but major thing to make sure ur wife arranges all docs as requested and nothing missing. Good luck |

MreSBee: Oh thanks Phoenix77. This helps a lot. I’m even glad that it’s GTBank as that’s my bank as well. I did exactly the same (paid from my naira account from GTBank using my MasterCard) and it went through without a hitch. I did the payment twice just as you did too. I’m just surprised that the guy I met at the customer service of the bank told me otherwise and my brother backed it up with the GTBank story. Will try to use my account tomorrow since you even did yours a few months back in Dec, I’m sure I should be able to do so too. Will update you on the outcome tomorrow. Thanks once again for your help and the screenshot actually did help You welcome... |

MreSBee: I wen to the bank abd was told that I can’t use my naira MasterCard that I have to use my dollar/pounds domiciliary accounts which I’ve not even used before and don’t have a card for. My brother told me that it’s CBN as they have changed the rules of making huge payments using a naira account. I don’t know how true this is though Wat bank is it? |

MreSBee: I did exactly this same thing for my first application but that was in 2016. I don’t know when you did or made your application but my brother is telling me that the CBN has changed it’s policy regarding paying for application online with naira debit cards. He said they will only allow Dollior or pounds domiciliary account now. Anyone know of a better way to go about the application and IHs payment. Please help me people. Especially people who made their applications recently. Thanks all. I did mine Dec 20th 2017 so its still very recent and it went through...so maybe it has changed i dont know. Trust me...getting a domiciliary acct is very easy...but getting the dollars to fund it is the hard part...cos the banks wont sell or change for u..they tell u to source for it outside....and going to buy from all these bur-dechange is additional cost.... Attached a screenshot of my debit alert...hope it helps

MreSBee: Hello all.... good morning.
Quick question please. What is the easiest way to pay for the application and IHs fee from Nigeria? Do Nigerian banks allow payment that huge from using the normal Naija debit cards or you have to use a dollar/pounds domiciliary account? Anyone that has done it successfully using Naija cards should advise on what to do please. Thank you I used my naija debit cards...but i had to use 2 diff ones cos once u charge d first one u wont be able to charge the second one cos of the huge amount..i was unable to charge the main fees on mine after paying the IHS...so i simply used another debit card from a diff bank and it went through without a prob. Goodluck. |

tayeby78: Hi Phoenix,
Ukvi never send confirmation email for receiving supporting documents. Tls tracker also takes a while to update their system. In my husband's case, they only updated their tracker on the 8th week after my husband sent them a complaint on their site and I suggest you do the same if you're worried. Good luck sir. Thanks so much... I'll do just that. |

Mamalicious: Merry Xmas everyone . You dont need to take anytin for your biometrics. Just your passport , appointment print out. Even if you carry evrytin they wnt take it from you. You are expected to send dem to your spouse in the UK who would mail it to Home office. Well that is what i was told and that is what i did. I sent all the docs i had here to my hubby tru DHL and he got it 2 days after. Immediately he added his after arranging it well and sent it to them through Royal mail and they got it the next day.
I hope i answered your question. Yes you did.. thanks much |

foxyvisa: @justwise please I need your counsel. Hubby is requesting I obtain police report/police character certificate for immigration from Nigeria Police HQ. Says it's necessary for obtaining employment on arrival in the UK, else I might have to wait for 6 months before working inorder to get a UK police report. Please, how acurate is this? Wife told me the same thing to make sure to get it... I guess you can get a police report at d Nigerian high commission in the uk but u need to be ready to fork out close to £600 so it's a rip of and easy to get here in Nigeria for much much less. |

Mamalicious: Hello everyone , compliments of the Season to you all. I trust God who has kept us from Jan till date is over faithful to lead us in the new year. 2018 shall be a year of uncommon favour .Amen.
Just wanted to reconfirm the news i heard in another forum . How tru is it dt HO would close on friday 22nd to resume on the 3rd of Jan 2018. Is that how they use to do (lol). Na wa oooo. Me that have been nilling off the date on my table calendar hoping to hear sth frm them this year. Issorait as long as it wuld nt exceed d 60 working days they said and as long as my passport wuld be stamped, they shld continue.
Y'all have a Merry Merry Xmas and a prosperous New Year. That being said , dnt forget the reason for the season - JESUS . How accurate is the info... because visa centers in Nig re still scheduling appointments all through 27-29... shouldn't they close also if the HO is closing? |

godman100: You should be directed to make the IHS payment as part of the application process. Did you select Settlement - Marriage or Settlement - Husband at the start of the application? Thanks house... the issue has been resolved... and I paid already... guess it was the traffic on the site at that moment. |

Your bank statements + payslips, meets the 28 day rule? Yes daughter is British, 7 months now... submitting bout 60 pics, few communication logs dating far back as 6/7 years, and everything all recent. |
