THE POWER THAT WORKS IN US
(How Things Are Possible For Us Believers)



Ephesians 3:20-21
"Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen."

One of the greatest revelations a believer can possess is the understanding that he is not powerless.

Many believers know God is powerful, but few understand that God's power is working inside them.

The Christian life is not a life of struggle, defeat, fear, and helplessness. It is a life empowered by the Holy Spirit.

The difference between a victorious believer and a defeated believer is often the awareness and engagement of the power that works within.


WHAT IS THIS POWER?
The power at work in us is the power of God manifested through the Holy Spirit.
It is the same power that created the heavens and the earth.

Genesis 1:2
"And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters."

It is the same power that raised Jesus from the dead.

Romans 8:11
"But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you."

This power is not a force outside us; it is the Holy Spirit living inside us.


HOW DID WE COME TO POSSESS THIS POWER?

Through the finished work of Jesus Christ.
When we accepted Christ, we received the Holy Spirit.

John 1:12
"But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name."

Acts 1:8
"But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you..."

The day you received Christ, heaven deposited divine power into your spirit.
You are not empty.
You are not ordinary.
You are not helpless.
God Himself now dwells in you.


WHAT CAN THIS POWER DO?

1. It Gives Victory Over Darkness
Luke 10:19
"Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you."

No believer was designed to be a victim of witchcraft, fear, curses, or satanic oppression.

2. It Makes Impossible Things Possible
Matthew 19:26
"But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible."

What men call impossible is God's specialty.

3. It Produces Transformation
2 Corinthians 5:17
"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."

The power of God changes lives, destinies, families, and situations.


TWO POWERFUL EXAMPLES FROM SCRIPTURE

Example 1: David Against Goliath
A young shepherd defeated a giant because divine power was working in him.
1 Samuel 17:45
"Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts..."

The battle was not won by physical strength but by the power of God.

Example 2: Peter at the Beautiful Gate
The man who once denied Jesus now carried divine power.
Acts 3:6 (KJV)
"Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk."

A crippled man walked because God's power was working through Peter.


WHEN DO WE ENGAGE THIS POWER?

We engage this power:
In times of spiritual warfare.
In seasons of adversity.
When confronting impossible situations.
When fulfilling divine assignments.
When advancing the Kingdom of God.

The power is not given for decoration; it is given for manifestation.


HOW DO BELIEVERS ENGAGE THIS POWER?
.
1. Through Faith
Hebrews 11:33
"Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions."
Faith activates divine power.

2. Through Prayer
James 5:16
"The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much."
Prayer releases spiritual authority.

3. Through Obedience
Deuteronomy 28:1
"And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God..."
Power flows where obedience exists.

4. Through the Word of God
Jeremiah 23:29
"Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?"
The Word energizes the believer.


A CRITICAL TRUTH
The power of darkness is only as powerful as your blindness to the power that is at work within you.
When believers become spiritually awake, darkness loses its intimidation.

The devil fears believers who know who they are in Christ.
You can do all things through the power that makes all things possible.

Philippians 4:13 (KJV)
"I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."


DELIVERANCE CHARGE

Every chain around your life today is not stronger than the power inside you.
Every ancestral limitation, every household wickedness, every spirit of delay, every power fighting your settlement must bow before the superior power of God.

"Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world."


PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS
