I told someone that if I have any challenge (as typical to any human being) and he mocks me because of it.when God now finally picks my call over that matter,I must not see you around me during my celebration season.

Talking behind someone doesn't necessarily mean some bad intentions, it might even be a sign of respect cos such a person might feel that such a word might break the friendship bond should it be said in front of the person involved.

True Yorubas voted Osinbajo at the primaries and most of the delegates that voted Tinubu were from parts of the country.

There should be a legislation to compel parties to publish non-personal details of all party delegates. We need to critically analyse such information and know where our problems are coming from straight from the primary level.

So how come you knew about the true yorubas that voted for him?

You want good government, taxation is a part of it. That is how the countries you run to work. High taxes. And people complain there well well about it.

Oil at best gives us 70 billion dollars a year...at 100 dollars a barrel. At best. We need something like 200-300 bn dollars per annum...if not more to 'have enough for everyone' (and yes, the reason why our leaders are bad is partly because they still steal from the little we earn).

I am an economist so we are practically on the same page. However, I need to make you understand that things that works in those sane climes wont work here. The amount of corruptions in Nigeria wont encourage anyone to pay tax. If a road is constructed and people are asked to pay toll fee wont they pay? But you cant expect people to pay toll fee on a bad road so in this context now a road was constructed. That means the government has to do more with the ”little” oil revenue so as to convince people of their intentions.

Hypothetic assertion cos it cant work in Nigeria,the government hasn't done a lot in convincing people to paying taxes. We hear millions been looted and no prosecution yet you expect people to pay tax so the looters can still loot them.

The government has to do first before people can pay. A jobless individual wont pay no tax but if a government provides employment opportunities then why would it be difficult for the citizenry to pay taxes?

Not from oil money. Oil money is not enough. The stealing our leaders does makes the situation worse. The repeated price crashes of the price of crude oil also means we don't earn enough, and have to take loans.

So which one comes first? People paying taxes for what they cant see nor enjoy OR government building infrastructures and better living then taxing people afterwards.

Many of those rich politicians probably...would want to send their kids to schools in Nigeria. But we don't want to do the hard work of funding those schools properly.

Everything would be achieveable if all parties becomes responsible. If the government provides basic infrastructures and conducive environment for investors then why wont they have the guts to increase taxation.
