Semtu:Bobo, you no Sabi. Go and be an engineer first before you can make sense with this point you're holding on to. |
Itzneowizy:Don't mind them... They just talk about spec as if only them sabi wetin be specification. Now, we go talk small, den no allow person rest with how 'indestructible' their Xiaomi is. It will be very difficult to let them see that there are several factors to be considered when buying a new phone beyond specs and features. |
Thumbs up Transsion. Infinix S4 is da bomb! Haters can go and hug transformer ![]() |
Semtu:Do you ever go through what you've typed before submitting it? See, if transsion should leave Africa today, mobile phone technicians will not stop repairing. People have always repaired and will continue to repair irrespective of whether it's Xiaomi ,Samsung , iPhone, essential etc. So before you're seen as not making any sense, stop using the fact that I repair phones to backup your claim. |
@digitalcrazeman You can't make them understand If you know, you know. Being a tech lover isn't about beefing and reading the on-paper specs. It's about understanding the detail, using the device real time and debating empirically. |
And to the young chap who believed that anybody who seeks help or repair concerning his Infinix is simply looking for paid CUSTOM RECOVERY (hia! Custom recovery like seriously? That's all he could come up with?) please don't type at all if you have nothing to say next time and if you are so obsessed with just typing something, a simple 'hello' would do. |
ityP:For your mind ba? Someone who knows what he wanted and went for it is now the one you call a fool? I think you're a better candidate for that title bro. |
ddjay:You see, among the numerous problems you've got , the most annoying one is not being able to make your point without mentioning names and being rude |
Bakrabas:Im not sure about the current price. Aso, the price depends on retailer and location. You can ask Itzneowizy (not sure I got that right, sorry ) how much he bought his. My friend got his at 53.2k ftom a local store at Abeokuta |
iamwhat:Seriously, Apple iOS devices are over hyped IMO |
1StopRudeness:You get mouth jare |
Itzneowizy:Yeah you're kind of right though about the notch. The water-droplet style is way better than the bar like ones. Most of those bar notches are just taking useful screen space |
Itzneowizy:A friend of mine paid me a visit yesterday, turns out he was using Infinix S4. Mhen, it was like I was seeing the pphone for the first time. Infinix has done a really nice job on this machine in terms of look and performance but sincerely i feel that notch is unnecessary. The phone is almost 'bezeless' ![]() |
Itzneowizy:You can port it anyway. Porting TWRP for most phones is now easier than ever |
Itzneowizy:You might explore this: Not sure if it would work on the S4. Background: Dolby Atmos does not require root to function normally as it's already integrated to be part of system root. And of course, this is achieved by flashing the corresponding .zip package. Proposition: Flash Dolby using TWRP Challenge: TWRP can't be retained (usually the TWRP is automatically replaced by stock recovery at boot whenever there is no SU binary) without unlocked bootloader and root. However, there is a way to temporarily boot into TWRP using ADB command on window of (Tried this on a Leagoo Kiica power to temporarily use TWRP and format system partition) Methods/Guides to executing Proposition Step 1: Download the Dolby Atmos flashable zip and copy to a folder of your choice on the phone . Step 2: Get Miracle Box and do a ROM dump suitable for flashing incase something goes wrong, you'll be able to flash the phone with your dumped stock ROM Step 3: Set up ADB on laptop and install necessary drivers (check Google for help on this) Step 4: Go online and download the exact TWRP for your phone (note the build number as this is important) Step5: Now enable USB debugging and also make sure that your bootloader is already unlocked. ( If you have not unlocked your bootloader, you should otherwise ADB can't push TWRP to your recovery partition. Also do backup of your apps and files as your phone might be formatted in the process of unlocking. Happened on Leagoo m8 pro). Step 6: Now copy the downloaded TWRP (in step 4) to your ADB and fastboot folder on your laptop. Step 7: Connect your phone to your laptop while still on then use ADB command to boot it into fastboot mode. Step 8: While in fastboot mode, flash the recovery.img (TWRP) and use same fastboot environment to boot the device into recovery. If all goes well, you will be treated to a nice looking intetface- TWRP . Step 9: Go to install and select your Dolby flashable zip file and flash. You can now reboot. Remember that after boot, your phone automatically and silently installs the stock recovery. So if you'd want to boot into recovery again, you should be ready to see your stock recovery. Suppose you flashed (SuperSU.zip) in step 8 then your TWRP will be retained after reboot. Step 10: Setup Dolby and enjoy! ![]() Disclaimer: Disclaimers often sound scary no matter how grammatically structured its written. But don't worry as long as you know what you're doing, you should be fine as the responsibilities and potential consequences are entirely yours , not mine. ![]() I didn't detail most of those steps because I believe you know what to do there but you can ask me questions on any of those steps. |
Itzneowizy:I'm afraid that you would need root. From what I know, I don't think there is a way to circumvent the process. Reason: Dolby Atmos requires integration with your Android System to make desired effects. It's like substituting your default sound equaliser/enhancer with another one. Some people have claimed to install just the Dolby Atmos app (apk) and recorded success even though they had issues with the app not starting after every reboot. My side, I tried just the app without root and guess what? It didn't work on my former note 4 pro. I had to flash it via TWRP. There are guides though on the net with all sorts of captions but the most effective installation method is through root. |
Who has tried a GSI ROM (Android 9.0) on their Infinix hot 7? As for Infinix users such as Infinix S4, Infinix Smart 3 plus and other Infinix phones with Android P out of the box, you stand a chance to enjoy the new Android Q (Android 10.0) when it's finally out as your phones should natively support project treble. ![]() |
ddjay:Na normal thing jare. When one's reasoning is clouded with sentiments, fallacies, hatred and unnecessary worry, comprehending very simple statements often becomes difficult. |
ddjay:Eehm (clears throat)... Were u saying anything? Which/what point are you talking about? |

temmy59:Do you mean the selection kept on going back to 2G after setting to 3G only? |
temmy59:1st, is the 9mobile 4G enabled? If yes, then try using manual configuration for the APN settings. Ensure that the accesspoint (e.g: mobile.etisalat.com) is correctly entered, enter the Proxy (i think 9mobile uses: 010.071.170.005)and Port (8080). Pls confirm the APN and proxy supplied by google searching but i think that's it becos I typed it by heart. Manual settings could just be your solution. 2nd, switch to 3G only under network settings and let's see what happens. PS: Ensure that the 9mobile is set as your default Data Sim under sim management. Let's know how it turns out. |
bettercreature:O ti ka e lara gan o. Imagine! Listen to yourself '...go and contest...' To do what? Squander National treasury.. And you have been blindfolded to identify corruption because You cannot contest? |
bettercreature:Since he is the President, he could as well pack the whole money in the TSAccount to buy car. SMH |
