The only reason why you may be asked to drain and recharge is for the purpose of battery recalibration and resetting of the battery counter. If a power bank is working fine, then there's absolutely no reason to drain.

Now you're saying manual can ask to discharge for calibration?

The point the other poster(s) are making is about whether to charge to 100% first time after purchase or drain before charging up.

The point is: whether you charge to 100 for first time or not, it does not change a thing about the battery itself.

Some powerbanks truly said to drain first before first time recharge.

You're just arguing baselessly.

Lithium polymer batteries don't need to be charged 100% first time. If you do, no problem, if you didn't no problem.

Calibration does not happen via 1 time cycle. It happens over multiple cycles of charge-discharge (maybe three cycles for some)
