I know some who would use more crappy phones and won't complain at all. It doesn't change the fact that the phone is crappy. If an Infinix or tecno user switches to a Xiaomi, Nokia or even a mid-range Samsung phone that is in the same budget category as a particular transsion product, his experience would never be the same. I've been there so I know. Don't worry, when or if u see the light, u will also be disgusted too at transsion products, so for now, ENJOY

Logically, using a new brand might change ones view and perception about the previous brand but this is not the case when both brands give him similar satisfaction. Of what difference is using a non problematic Infinix to a non problematic Xiaomi of the same price and spec range? Durability?

It isn't about seeing the light or being ignorant. The truth is that those who go for Infinix actually weigh their options and have their reasons for going for transsion products. I've used tecno, Infinix and I'm currently using an HTC 10. So you can see that some of us seeing the good in transsion product aren't doing so out of ignorance or because we're simply dwelling in the dark.

I preferred my HTC 10 to any other mtk device (not just transsion product this time) or to some Qualcomm devices because of its developer base in terms of tweaking and custom ROM availability.

I don't buy and use a phone because it's worldwide, it's unbreakable, it cait can't drop, it has timely update, best camera in the market bla bla bla. I buy and use a phone for what I need it for and what I can get from it.

P.S: Even before using Infinix phones, I've used few HTC phones. I can give you list if you want I'm an HTC fan yet I've never regretted using the Infinix hot, hot 2, hot 5 ( the hot series were my favourities then) to the Infinix note 4 pro.

I sold them because I hate sticking to one device for too long.

My verdict: Transsion products are not the best in the Africa market but they are definitely not the worst. So is Xiaomi

Well that's your opinion though and it doesn't mean I have to believe you or that it has to be true. I've used Infinix phones that I actually enjoyed without issues. Besides my testimony, I'm quite certain there are people out there who use transsion products and have never had any reason to call it 'crap'. Since there exist at least one user who does/do not have problem with transsion products therefore the statement 'transsion products are crappy' is invalid. Hence the supposed crappiness of transsion products is subjective and not meant to be seen as being general.

You can check Jumia for an idea of phones that fall within that range but I think there are quite a number of Transsion products (Itel, Infinix and Tecno) that falls within that price range. I mean good looking and good-for-the price devices. You can as well get unpopular brands but i won't advise that. You should consider one that has guarranteed customer support that is within your reach.

Listen credon, I understand and agree your point about maintaining a healthy debate. However I really think you're soiling that good point of yours with bias. Yes, you're very biased if I must be sincere with you.

Here is my reason for you and those who care to know:

1. Your comment about my view on Nairaland has shown that you didn' get the point I was trying to make. Instead, you went ahead claiming I 'goofed, i had a misguided opinion of nairaland and so on. Anyways i dont have a problem with that since that's the way you understand my view about nairaland.

2. From the start, i didn't feel like repying the Infinix haters but I was compelled by incessant hate speech and insults meted out at not only the brand but also the users. Those you've mentioned and praised as being matured actually started the rant and name calling. At a point I even had to apologise to one of them for using the word 'l**ser' but did you see that? No!

At some other comment, i told them it's okay, they're right, let's move on and stop derailing the thread. Who listened? Infinix haters? None. They'd rather mention you from now till next year just to make a single point.

3. If indeed you were following everyone's comment concerning this matter (subject: infinix phones are crap - By some self acclaimed concerned tech gurus) you would understand that my point has always been that Infinix isn't the crap people paint it to be. I even made it clear in a post that Infinix and Xiaomi phones CANNOT be compared because they do not belong to the same class. I have never compared the S4 to any phone. Oga Itzneowizy, have you been able to restrict foreground apps from using data? I use ultra firewall but this require root. However there are some untested apps on play store that should be able to do it without root...

Good afternoon, what sort of lines and flashes? Can you snap it using a different phone and upload it here? This will make it easier to tell if you have a faulty screen or those lines and flashes are software related.

Software related case: Owing to a particular setting under the developers option, if you enable options such as pointer locations or show surface update, your display could start flashing abnormally with Cartesian lines on the screen

To round this off, I agree with you on the price of the Infinix S4. Since there exist an alternative such as the Nokia X5 with a better processor at almost the same or lesser price to the S4, it becomes evident that the Nokia X5 is a model to reckon with in terms of price.

However, I still maintain my stand that the Infinix S4 is a wonderful device. A cheaper alternative (and better if you might say without considering the battery, design, screen estate and camera to mention a few) does not make the device bad yet.

Bottom line:
Infinix S4! Is it wonderful? Yes why not?

Is it expensive? This is a matter of personal preference. My opinion? Yes!

Does it run pes 2019? Yes!

Well this is your opinion though. You don't have to believe me intact you're not under any obligation to believe me when I said that the Infinix S4 runs PES2019. Everyone is entitled to his opinion. Infinix S4 3gb ram runs pes2019. I repeat and its confirmed. So you can chose to believe it or not. Not my problem.

Redmi Note 7 is sold for 58k on Jumia. Get ur stats correct. Redmi 7 that is a whole lot better than the S4 (sd 636) is sold for far less at 46k. Nokia X5 that spots a Helio p60 chipset is sold for 46k too. About customer support, u need to ask around from those who buy Xiaomi phones, how often they need customer support. Infinix and tecno are not cost effective at all. Spec to price wise, Infinix and tecno are actually scamming Nigerians, but some are too naive to see
