E no easy at all..
I even wonda if i'm pronouncin the words well.. Learnin finnish is a struggle on it's own..
Just learnt the basic; days, months and numbers.
Pronouncing it well might not really matter at the onset, because Finnish people are excited once you speak their language, and would be absolutely elated to correct your pronunciations with joy.

Okay thanks but do I need to show any prove because I’m not working so How do I prove that the sponsor transferred the money to me
It's your sponsor that's needs to proof the source of the funds (6720euros) sent to your account.

Go and Learn how to address a talk first. I didn't come to exchange words with you and I am not claiming encyclopedia of knowledge. I only shared my view based on what i know from other English speaking countries. You can enlighten me without attacking.
You could as well teach me how to talk when you have time, but u shouldn't be talking from a position of authority about something you don't know, because by doing so you would mislead people who don't know. Mind you, you quoted my post that's why I replied you. Peace bro

To study B.Sc or Msc? How many do you know that you are saying alot of people
Stop going up and down this thread saying what you don't know bro, I know lots of peeps in Finland, Norway, Poland, within that age bracket you are talking about studying, not only from Naija alone self, so stop misleading people with what you don't know. Maybe you should give us statistics of people that you know were denied visas or residency to any European country due to age.

Lol schooling in finland is not the issue but battling with visa officer to approve your permit is the hurdle. Do you think it will be easy to convince them that you are going for B.Sc at 34yrs?
Just stop saying what you don't know period. There's no age limit in the Finnish admission or immigration process, once you have your legit documents and God is on your side you are good to go.

Hmmm, 34yrs and B.Sc shocked shocked anything is possible if you present your case well but most B.Sc programmes are in finnish.

There's no age limits to studies in Finland and most Bsc courses are offered in English for international students except vocational courses and courses like Medicine and Dentistry that are taught in Finnish or Swedish.

Omo luabi ibrahimovic303 and co,
I dey beg una to look into my matter o. Its been two months now I've been going to a branch of my bank where I now live in one remote area ..to cut story short na means of paying app fee dey hold me to ransom o.
Any help will be appreciated.
What's the issh, can't you make the payment online yourself? You could just walk into any UBA branch where u are and request for UBA mastercard and fund it for your payment or ask any of your guys in the city to help you make the payments if there's no UBA or any other bank that could help you there.

Thanks baba. As for the letter, is it supposed to be hand written? Am using my mum as sponsor though... The money has been transferred to my account too.

You should type the letter, and she would indicate your relationship with her and emphasise she's supporting you for your living expenses through your student stay. I hope she's a salary earner if yes, just include her employment contract, payslip, bank statement and possible letters of promotion. With that you are good to go. I hope you have gotten your health insurance too. All the best bro

Hello House. So I now have three admission offers and all gave me tuition waivers; University of Oulu (75%), University of Lapland ( 80%) , Tampere University (100%). Which one should I accept? I also have an offer from the university of Gothenburg in Sweden but NO scholarship. Since there are better prospects of getting a job in Sweden, should I take it?
Lastly, please I would like to connect with someone who can put me through on how to apply for the Finnish RP. I don't want to make mistakes. Your assistance will be appreciated. Thank you.
Kindly accept Tampere with immediate alacrity.

This issue is now confusing oooo..... Are we using €30k or €40k? Migri stated €40k on their website and AIICO covers €30k.
Somebody help!!!!
It seems migri wants to use €40k now, because a friend who renewed his permit here in Finland was asked to supplement his application by sending an insurance that covers €40k instead of the €30k he uploaded earlier, and it seems Swisscare is the only insurance company that can provide such limits amongst the recommended insurance companies by migri.

Sweden is 2.5 million per semester while norway is free tuition.

Any advice will be appreciated.

Hello guys!!

I recently gained interest in Finland tongue

But from what i have read on this thread, some people still got rejected for rp despite having scholarship

Here's my question ; is it that having scholarship isn't enough, you still have to have/show proof of funds to sustain you for your program duration? Or you need Scholarship plus stipend to evade showing proof of funds or anything like that...

And how possible is it to get both full scholarship and stipend??

Thank you!!
Like someone earlier rightly explained, there are two categories of scholarships u can get based on the institution and your academic profile
1.Scholarship(50-100%) without stipends
2. Scholarship ( always 100%) with stipends

If u recieve Number 1 u must show proof of your living expenses and you must pay the corresponding tuition fee that remains I. E if u get 80% scholarship, you of course have to pay 20% of the tuition and show proof from your sponsor (either self or other) that u can pay tuition and live at the same time.
If u recieve the number 2, you don't pay school fees and your living expenses gets paid into your account every month, so u really don't need to proof any source of income whatsoever.

You have all need right here, especially on the first ten pages, www.studyinfo.fi has info on all the courses offered on English, and Finnish, all vocational schools, bachelors, masters n PhD are all there.
Mind if u haven't applied to any schools yet, then that means u are planning towards next year admissions.

Free ones are mondly(I use this often) , 50languages,memrise,Finnish pod101(this too) , Finnish by nemo, hellotalk.
You pay for monthly sub for this one : Worddive (10euros per month),
Tasteoffinnish.fi(this is good too)

@Ibrahimovic303

Another one... Aalto University, School of Chemical Technology

The course is organized mainly in Finnish, and Swedish. Some of the major subjects are taught in English. I don't know what to do sef

Between Swedish and Finnish, which one is more difficult??
Check centria UAS, the course u are searching for is offered fully in English there, though admission for the English version closed it would be open again fully by end of the year, the Finnish version would open by March. Check www.centria.fi for detailed info, feel free to contact me for further info.

Lemme search for the scholarship.. Thank you very much boss
Centria UAS Kokkola offers Environmental chemistry and technology in English, the fees is 4500euros per academic year, I dunno about the scholarship percentage given though. You can check it out too, and they are one of the best if not the best schools offering the course in Finland, because majority of the chemical industries are in their region.

If you earn 400k and above in naija, I see no reason for you to relocate here, because B4 u can get your dream job (which is quite hard to get mostly) ur language skills has to be top notch and u have got to have a great skill set.

Age isn't a barrier, and you can as well go for a second degree, you should search for more schools with much much lower tuition, schools like Centria UAS, Satakunta and the likes. Nothing is impossible for d determined bro

Thank you bro,I’m planning to go for a bachelors degree and for now I have just an ND. In computer engineering and a WAEC RESULT..(I’m not sure they recognize the ND Result from what I’ve seen on the site...Also the basic requirements is that money!..I’ll start from somewhere
Boss, just get all you need ready, use your WAEC result ready, and start all your plans, you can come for bachelors degree in IT or computer related course and possibly you could transfer the credits for most of the courses you have done already.
And I believe all would be set for you.
Cheers mate
