Will get the mileage when i get home but no SES light is on though sometimes, some lights can just come on ,on its own.

One way to find lasting solution is to Scan the vehicle first to identify possible cause & paste resultant codes here thereafter

Will ask the mechanic to get some codes for me next time am at his workshop.

Please for the car enthusiast and mechanics in the house, i need your input.

I own an Infiniti QX56 vehicle and for a while now i noticed that if i use it for say a straight 1hr or more drive, the temperature just starts rising, also further minutes down the line, all the indicators on the the dashboard will go flat except for the fuel gauge. This flatness last for a few mins before they start working again but sometimes when they come up, i will then realise that the temperature has gone so far up.

Now i have taken it to my mechanic and the electrician, they have checked everything, the fan is perfect, they even changed the cover of the radiator and touched the fuses etc but they cant find out the reason for such overheating most especially.

Infact because of this i have restricted the use of the vehicle for only short distance journey like church etc, even at that, i pray there will be no traffic, cos thats when the temperature will like to feel like it will embarrass me.

Please what can possibly be wrong?

I dont know why i hate all Nigerian football administrators..All of them are bunch of petty thieves.They embezzle even the tiniest of money.

I remember when our company was sponsoring a certain states FA cup competition. The state football administrators and their federal NFF counterparts concerned themselves with embezzling the funds. They didnt do promotions for the championship as was stipulated in the contract, didnt secure the best football pitches, didnt pay referees as was agreed and even carted home all the company products we donated which was to be shared to spectators free etc etc. One i saw even embezzled N5000

The next year, we decided to take it upon ourselves to hire independent sports event consultants to organise the championships and even employed temporary staff to share goodies at the stadias. All we made NFF and their state folks do, was to concern themselves with getting the referees, the stadia where we pay directly and to be around for the presentation of the cups at the final.

That is the sorry state of our football administrations. Am sure the petty thieves are already gearing for how they will make money with Oliseh unveiling and thereby derail his supposed good work.

BTW, why is Oliseh even lodged at Transcorp hilton, couldnt they have being a little more austere.

What do you all think about the colors....Is it too dark or perfect......?

xarxes: Clearly corruption stinks in Nigeria including our corporate world. I got wind recently of a non-conformer who was persecuted for not giving in to corruption. This concerns a certain medical sales representative in Lagos working for an indigenous local pharmaceutical company (names withheld) whose popular products include Artesunate and Vitamin c Glucose which you might know very well.

Sales reps are usually hired to market and sell their medicines to hospitals and pharmacies. Sales reps are allowed to sell above company selling price and keep whatever profits they make on the field as an incentive to them since they are generally poorly paid. But what I hear as a pharmacy owner is that this sales reps are usually mandated to give kickbacks (part of their personal profits) aka bribe to their direct supervisors or managers so as to retain their jobs and get more goods to sell so as to meet up with very high and ridiculous targets. This is usually a conspiracy or a corrupt scheme in most indigenous pharmaceutical companies which is known only to the reps and their managers excluding the most senior managers and MD.

Most reps do comply as far as I know so as to save their jobs and meet targets. But what annoys me is when it is made compulsory for them and those who don't comply are usually frustrated out of the company or blackmailed most times they are sacked unjustly and replaced without the knowledge or consent of the MD. This happens very often and has been in place in so many companies for years now. This recently happened to a pharmacist friend of mine. And I begin to ask if NLC or the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria or NAFDAC is not aware of all this schemes or if they are aware but they choose not to act or investigate it. It beats me seriously.

Please my good people of NL, your advice or inputs are needed here.

@ OP, you have exhibited crass ignorance in this case. Have you bothered to ask your doctor medical rep friend what he did that has warranted his being disciplined, except you are the medical rep who has come to tarnish the reputable image of the undisclosed firm?

Marotzke: It is very obvious OP is not a pharmacist, not a medical representative, not a pharmacy owner, the nearest to the profession, I suspect is being a second year student in one biological sciences in one so called university. That is why he mixes up private arrangements,with industry norms and ethical practice.


If a sales/marketing/products manager sacks a field salesman /medcal representative, for not giving him bribe, how would he meet his sales target? A sales manager is as good and versatile as his field officers . If he starts sacking because he doesn't get bribes, he would soon be sacked for non performance. This is the first exhibition of ignorance by the poster.


Secondly it is ethically and tactically wrong for managers to encourage subordinates to sell products above company prices as OP infers. A lot of factors are taken into consideration before companies arrive at a particular price for their products. To suggest that middle level managers will deliberately instigate field officers to sabotage company policies in exchange for bribes is so nonsensical that I am convinced that OP has never got a real job in his life.


To suggest that M/Ds and top management staff do not know what goes on at the front lines is an indication that OP is ignorant of what corporate governance is. MDs and EDs were once field officers and middle managers. If it is a situation where the MD inherited the company, what happened to office gossip? That is a veritable instrument for viable information.


What I suspect that really happened is that OPs friend or even the OP himsef played a fast one on his bosses and was promptly fired. Every body in the company , even the M/D knows about it.

This is what i suspect to have happened; There are certain products that are referred to as fast lines. These products sell themselves and most times demands, outstrip supply. To sell these kinds of products require little or no marketing skills and the transactions are mostly cash and carry. A lot of pressure are usually mounted on company executives, even the Oga at the Top, by pharmacy Owners , Hospital Administrators, Doctors etc to get allocations.


Now when allocations become privileges and not rights, prices are slightly adjusted above company prices. This is strictly the product managers call. The M/D might know, but choose to ignore as long as his university roomate who is a distributor or his wife's elder brother , who is medical doctor get their allocation.

Now the only person in the organisation authorised to make deliveries and collect payments (here cash) is the med rep. So Op, your immediate boss adjusts prices at his own risk, sends you on an errand, you complete the deal, pocket the balance and calmly remind him of what the company's official price list states eh? Now, that they have cut your malformed tail, you rush to Nairaland de halla corruption. Were, Dan iska kowei. Anuofia!
