Femtopford:Hi Femtopford, I have a Ford Escape 2005 version that I've been using since last year and it's been serving me well. However, it has an O2 sensor issue as diagnosed from the engine light on the dashboard. Tell me, am I damaging the vehicle by not fixing the O2 sensor problem? I've been managing it since last year with this issue. Thanks. |
I just bought a Ford Escape Hybrid 2006 model. I'm more concerned about the electrical parts of the hybrid. Do we have specialised mechanics that can work on the parts? Thanks. |
How much does it cost to get a Ford escape 2006 registered? Only available document is the custom papers. Thanks. |
pattybf:I'm about to purchase a used SUV that has its papers expiring in December. However, I want to do a change of ownership for the number plate and the tinted permit and if possible, change every document that requires a change of name to reflect myself as the new owner. How long would that take and how much would it cost? Thanks. |
Hi Nissan gurus, i'm about to purchase a Nissan Xterra 2005 model. I've seen so much reviews about the radiator leaking into the transmission. I'm not so knowledgeable in car issues but i'm getting this to deal with the bad roads and occasional floods around my area at Berger. For those that have/had a 2005 model, please advise if this is a serious problem so that i forfeit the purchase of the SUV or if it is something that a mechanic can deal with. I wouldn't want to be investing on car issues on a weekly basis. How did you go around such issue? Thanks. |
BamiAutos:How much can I get a Toyota rav4 4wd 2012 model toks? |
henryuzor:Hi HenryUzor, It's good to see that the info was helpful. And yes, it's the one and only Alfred! Now I feel unmasked...lol |
henryuzor:Hello Henry, You can get ACCA past questions on www.accaglobal.com. Just browse though the website for it and you will get everything you need. Corporate Reporting in ICAN is Corporate Reporting in ACCA while SFM in ICAN is Advanced Financial Management in ACCA. I am an ACCA affiliate and I also intend to write ICAN but by November. All the best in your final papers! |
Abbey247:Go to www.accaglobal.com. You will get all the info you need as per payments for initial registration and exemptions claimed. It's likely to be a major amount given the exchange rate challenges at the moment. The website will detail out the documents you need to upload. Congrats on deciding to go global! |
Abbey247:We now have four diets in a year; March, June September and December. The maximum you can write in any year is eight papers. I think it's a good way to spread your papers so that you can give more time to them rather than rush the papers because you want to get chartered quickly. ACCA papers are not papers you can just rush easily. IMO, just plan around these four diets and do it with a relaxed mind. |
haibe:P5 usually has the lowest pass rate followed by P4 then P7 then P6. Don't let the pass rates deceive you. I did P4 and passed it once despite the fact that the pass rate was the second lowest after P5. I just had a passion for fin mgt plus I like calculations. Do what u r comfortable with. |
shrimati:I do ICAN questions during my spare time because I may eventually do it for future reference..and man...it's quite easy compared to the ACCA. Like I said earlier, ACCA focuses on strong application of knowledge gained. During my time, ACCA questions for Fundamental level were all case study questions...so I became addicted to answering case study questions from Fundamental to Professional Stage. I saw that ICAN still sets MCQs and short-answer questions even in the professional level. I think at the professional level questions should be full-blown case study questions to test the candidates' ability to reason a situation and apply the relevant principles to the situation. It helps to distinguish the future consultants/practitioners from the future crammers!!!!! |
shrimati:You are the first person that I've ever heard quote that statement; that when ICAN peeps sit for ACCA it's a walk over for them. Maybe it's true but it's got to be the exception rather than the rule. |
haibe:If you enjoy costing techniques, variance analysis, business strategy principles then P5 will be very good for you. It's a technical paper and very difficult for students that do not prepare fully. But if u prepare adequately then only time will be what you have to concern yourself with. I liked F9 maybe cos it involved a lo of calculations so I chose P4 which is a very technical paper. Seriously, ACCA is not a stroll in the park! |
haibe:Thanks bro...God's grace saw me through. Never done an exam as brain-tasking as the ACCA! The reading is not the issue...the issue is knowing when and how to apply the knowledge gotten from the reading. Although I passed F5 in one sitting the topic I saw there prompted me to decide not to write P5. I eventually settled for P4 n P7. And voila! Here I am as an affiliate. You will become one soon. Just don't give up! |
haibe:Congrats Haibe. I received mine around 1:07am. Passed my final paper. Now an affiliate. I thank God so much for the grace He granted me. I personally think ICAN is easier compared to ACCA. I practised the Corporate Reporting paper of ICAN and to be honest, it was quite easy for me to do. ACCA tests the strength of your mental capacity...Honestly, ACCA focuses so much on the application of the knowledge acquired. So, having the knowledge without adequate application to the scenario will not get you a pass. It's all about the application and less about the knowledge. NB: this does no in any way discredit ICAN, pls. I'm still a big admirer of their exams and I intend to write it soon! |
@op, I use a blackberry z30 and I want to start using Glo network for my BBM subscription. Does the BIS code apply to BB10 fones too? Kindly help me with the codes and prices for 3GB and above. Thanks. |
I thought the reverse flash was nasty but this zoom guy is sth else. He's scary and deadly in every way thinkable. I thought Jay Garrick was a wimp, now I know why he kept urging Barry not to fight him. The way he beat up Barry was just terrible. Using Barry's lightning against him made me know that Barry was doomed. It was a pure mismatch and unless Wells and Garrick come up with sth smart n cunning, Barry is going to be confined to that wheel chair. |
Good day All, I noticed that no one brings up avenues to discuss or prepare for the ACCA sittings. I can't count the number of times I see my ICAN counterparts bringing up avenues to discuss and prepare for their respective diets. Please, house, let's use this medium to assist each other. I'm very sure that there are ACCA students who wish they could discuss issues bothering them concerning preparations or even topical discussions for their exams. You would be amazed at the number of people that can suggest better solutions to questions or give a thorough explanation to an outcome in any of the papers. I suggest we give this a try and see ho we can develop ourselves before the December exam commences. Thanks. |
I recall having a similar experience in 2007. I went to Computer village at Ikeja to purchase a Nokia 6630. At that time Nokia 6630 phones and above were very expensive to unlock if they were simlocked. I didn't know then that phones could be simlocked. I discussed with the guy and he showed me the phone and tested it there to convince me that it was working. Everything looked alright until all of a sudden he started to act funny and decided not to sell the fone again. So he collected it and went away. Few mins later he saw me and said he'd been searching for me, that he had decided to sell the fone. I looked at the fone but this time not critically like I did earlier. I just assumed that there was no point going thru the same stress to assess the workability of the fone. I parted with N14k that day thinking of how I would configure the fone and install many apps. As I got home, I turned on d fone only for it to reject my simcard continuously. It was not until a month later that I parted with over N8k to unlock the phone. Since then, i became very critical of any fone I'm purchasing from anyone in Computer village. As a matter of fact, to avoid stories that touch the heart, I just jejely go to SLOT. |
Vokate:Any position for a finance officer with an oil and gas work experience? |
Hi Debbie, please is there any opportunity for chartered accountants there? |
Tobex4realTobex234:Hi Tobi, I've sent my CV. Kindly review for me. Thanks. |
sureguy02:Thanks sureguy. |
I'm writing P7 on Monday, 07/09. Is there any one in the house writing P7 also? The exam venue is at The Grandeur, Billings way. Oregun. Pls, what is the easiest or fastest way for me to connect to the place from Awoyaya? Thanks. |
Hi fellow professionals, Is there anyone resitting P7 this September? How are you finding the revision....for me it seems boring as I'm struggling to motivate myself. I'm currently doing self-study which is strange to me cos I attended a tutor centre for F5 to P4. If there's anyone who is going through what I'm going through please feel free to share. Advice from affiliates and members will be appreciated too concerning tips to pass P7 (advanced auditing n assurance). Hope to become an affiliate by Oct 19th when results will be released. Thanks. |
bolliejay:With an ACCA certificate how many papers will I need to write? I'm sure taxation will be there due to international differences but what other papers am I likely to write? Thanks. |
Jarus:I registered as a student of ICAN since 2004 but did not write any exam after failing the ATS1 stage back then. Now I'm almost an affiliate of the ACCA as I'm awaiting the result of my final exams. Can I get ICAN membership with my ACCA status and is it necessary? Secondly, I would like to write the CITN exams to update my knowledge on the Nigerian tax system...will I get substantial exemptions with my ACCA status and if so, how many papers do I get to write? Thirdly, just by the way, I get the impression ICAN is far tougher than the ACCA based on the numerous comments I read on Nairaland about ICAN exams...am I right to deduce this? Thanks. |
