Back to the topic. Op I feel the teaching job is better. The car business is a blind market to me because all terms and conditions are yet to be stated. What of maintenance, fuelling and other risk involved. I hope you won't hit someone but what if vice versa who will pay. And I believe the payment can't be fixed it depends on the number on passengers etc coz if its fixed all the drivers will just seat still. But the teaching though stressful will give you better time to work on yourself.

The fueling will be done by the company. All i have to do is pick customers when there's a request. Obviously I'm paying for any damages to the car

I'm a graduate learning Programming at the moment.

Since I can't learn coding on an empty stomach with no support from anywhere, I decided to take up a job as a classroom teacher in a primary school. The pay is #22,000 + lesson fee of #8,000 and I get extra #2,000 for the transportation cost of one of my pupils.

My monthly transportation cost is #8,000
Hence take monthly income is #22,000.

The perks of lesson notes and marking is killing me, besides shouting upandan in the classroom as I get home mostly exhausted.

Now I got a "connect" to drive for a car hailing service in Ilorin (like uber). According to the guy I spoke with, the pay is between #25,000 to #30,000 not yet sure, also there is a tendency that I may have to spend t-fare of #6,000 that is if I'm not allowed to take the vehicle to my place.
Which will bring the monthly down to #19,000 or #24,000

But I'd have time to rest and i won't get exhausted as usual

Hence my confusion. Should I go with the stressful job with a better pay or the less strenuous one with a lower pay. Also I'm considering the lifetime of the businesses due to the seasonal revenue of Ilorin, the school has a better chance of survival than the car hailing service job.

Please advise me.

Please I have plans to relocate to Rwanda and I want to know if it's worth it? And if it is, what does it take/cost (visa, flight, and other bills to foot the bill) lastly what opportunities are there for a graduate (B.Ed) and a beginner in programming?

I noticed the persistent transportation issues which affects unilorin students yearly and I'm trying to invest in a Uber business model in Ilorin. I've been trying to work out a reasonable price that is affordable to customers and at the same time profitable for me.
Secondly how do I reach out to people outside the student environment who might need this services.

NB: I'm the driver and it's an automatic vehicle.

I'm trying to know if it's cheaper to buy cars outside the country and ship them into Nigeria for a private business not to resell or one should just opt for tokunbo vehicles outrightly...

One thing I got to understand is that the vehicles are kinda cheaper outside Nigeria even with the horrible dollar rates but the great barrier is the cost of importation so I'd like to know what the approximate cost of shipping a vehicle from UK or US is. Incase anyone has tried it and the waiting period for arrival of the vehicle and it's clearance process at the port.

To compare if it's better to buy in Nigeria or ship from abroad.

Take the car to Oyingbo and get it inspected, if the gearbox is not salvageable you would be told. Livinhubby can help you arrange a replacement. The baby boy is a sweet car with auto transmission design error. Therefore, you will enjoy the transmission but expect it to go bad after some 60,000 miles that's if you got a good one.

Secondly, stick to DW1 for the installation as well as for subsequent servicing.

I once had a similar experience, a lots of those mechanics are scammers. One said l need to do scanning with 10k then work on the gearbox which will cost me 35k. And he said no guarantee. To cut the long story short, it was a mechanic in oyinbo (maxwell) who said that problem was gear switch. He did it for just 5k. 3 years after its still in perfect condition.

This might sound funny. I had a similar issue with my Honda baby boy. Guess what solved the problem. I drained all the gear box oil and replaced same with visco 2000, I mean visco 2000 engine oil. I used it for close to a year before changing it again with visco 2000 engine oil. You must maintain using visco 2000 and nothing else.

Please I'm very serious... Is it possible to replace the gear oil with engine oil and it won't paralyze the vehicle don't mislead me ooooo

Stop wasting ur money, replace the gearbox... Baby boy gearbox is about 40k - 50k @ oyingbo .

Pardon my ignorance sir.... The new gear box will come with new sensors right

Use OBD to diagnose it. Most times if it is auto the faults usually from failed sensors.

Can the failed sensor be repaired or replaced And at what cost approximately?

I got a Honda Accord baby boy recently and the gear shift is draining me off cash... It delays before shifting from one gear to another. Lagos mechanics have scammed me within the last two months and I'm dead broke right now. I need to move the car to Ilorin for business...
