The alleged scam was for a little over $30,000.b(money to use register a company in Nigeria) The company that was allegedly scammed, was hoping to get a contract which would net them $8,000,000 USD. Why then does the thread title say the scam was $8 million USD. Did the OP not bother reading his article before posting it, or is he intentionally seeking to mislead people. You know what they say, if you intend to keep something from certain people, hide it in the "pages" of a book. Hmmm, LAZINESS IN HIGH PLACES |
Not everyone likes to download stuff. You should have a YouTube page and showcase your music there |
You speak the truth and nothing but the truth. We must do better and really and truly love ourselves - not the eye service. This obsession with everything we perceive as different from ourselves, must stop |
AdamuW:Would you consider including both Igbo and English subtitles? This would serve as an avenue for teaching young kids igbo or helping them improve their Igbo. P.S I and understand Igbo. Do you have a contact email? |
This is very nice. AdamuW, are you the creator? cc: ChinenyeN. Ajaanaoku |
saintkel:Ke kwanu? What don't you get? If a younger man and an older woman like/love each other, who is to say that they can't be together? I know a few such couples and they are very happy together ... even have children |
OP, you are not alone. Usher Raymond and Nick Cannon, have a clearly demonstrated preference for older women. Nothing's wrong with that |
duality:A thousand likes |
The property's current value is assessed at about $3.8 million. This property was bought 9 years ago during the recession. Property values have appreciated tremendously since then (especially in California). I won't be surprised if he paid 1 million or less. Sahara Reporters is intentionally being misleading. They could actually find the actual purchase price (which is a public record) and use that as part of their article, as opposed to using the current assessed value |
m0rena35:You're welcome |
m0rena35:You can call him: Obi'm = My heart (Obi is heart and M is the possessive pronoun) Uso'm = My sweets/sweetheart Nke'm = My own/ That which belongs to me Afuru'm gi na anya = You are the apple of my eye Dike na agha = Mighty man of valor |
Chimaaba:Nwanna ujo atuna gi. Arianna means: Fathers prized possession. The person that told you aria means sick is not very proficient in Igbo language and gave you a very wrong interpretation. Sickness in Igbo is Oria and not aria. Aria means possession. Nna means father |
RedboneSmith:You are wrong! Do you even understand Igbo, for you to make the statement you made? Arianna is a 100% Igbo name. It means Fathers prized possession. The European name you are referring to is Ariana which has only one "N" as opposed to two. Nna in Igbo means father. Omit one "n" and it becomes meaningless |
TobennaU:I translated from start to finish. Girl is Sopuruchi. Kelechi is her brother. Sopuruchi: Kelechi!! So you have broken my thing/toy? Kelechi: Please, sorry. I didn't do it intentionally. Sopuruchi: That is what you always say. Kelechi: Don't be angry. Forgive me. Father enters: What are you quarreling about? Sopuruchi: Look at how he broke my thing. Kelechi: I did tell her not to be angry. Sopuruchi: That is what he always says. Father: Okay guys, that's enough. Did you say Kelechi broke your thing? Sopuruchi: That's not the only thing he did. He ate my ice cream, entered my room without my permission and scribbled all over my book. Father: Sopuruchi, can you write down for me how many times you have done something wrong? Sopuruchi: There was a time I forgot to tidy my clothes,I forgot to do my homework and I forgot to wash the dishes. Father: Okay. It's not always easy to remember the things we do wrong. But the thing is, are you sorry? Do you know what Jehovah does whenever we are sorry for our sins? He does what is written in Ephesians chapter ....God forgives us completely (kpam kpam). Sopuruchi, how do we show we have forgiven someone who hurt us? THE END |
Olarewajub:How are you doing? Ke= how Ka =are Me = do Ime = doing Ke kwanu? = How now? Kedu = Hello Gini mega = what's happening? |
SuperSuave:Now that you have given me the context it makes more sense. You know what I said about tonal marks? Well depending on the tonal marks, Obi also means King. E.g. Obi of Onitsha. Obiego = King of money. Sometimes people say Eze ego |
SuperSuave:Obiego literally means Heart of money. Obi = heart. Ego = Money. Although, I must confess I haven't heard the term or phrase used before. Are u sure that was what was said? Obego = it has finished/ended. Also adding or removing tonal marks may change the meaning |
QueenValerie:You are welcome. What I find funny is that if people open a thread to appreciate themselves, there are always those ready to jump in and try to pull down. But if a negative thread were opened about Igbo's, those same people would FORGET to come in and preach how we shouldn't look at things through ethnic lenses. In fact they would positively revel at the "bad" news |
QueenValerie:She is not Igbo oh. |

QueenValerie:Bryan Okwara may be your spec then. Posting pics with my phone is a lot of work. But he is an actor, has tons of hair and he is foine!!! |

GospelNaija:I think you meant to say Unu nwa, not Umunna. Unu = You all/You People. Nwa is just an intensifier, sometimes added for emphasis and sometimes left out. Just like "Mu" = Me, but you can add Mu nwa for emphasis |
masseratti:Yes Una/Unu means You all in Igbo. The slaves took the word to Jamaica. So the origin is Igbo. Masseratti's post is a but confusing because he first attributes it to Patois and then states that the origin is Igbo. The origin is Igbo, plain and simple. |
@Kelvin0: it's Una and not "Ina". It comes from the Igbo word Unu, which means, You People. In fact Jamaicans use the word Unu (in its unadulterated form) to mean "You People." Vestiges of the slave trade |

@ KlausVestner: You are a good man. Wishing you and your family the best. P.S. You would probably be best suited going for a legal consultation or seeking advice at the High Court |
Also like someone pointed out earlier, the DMV area is very expensive. If his salary increment is $15,000 and their cost of living goes up by $20,000, then the move may not be worth it. All of the pros and cons should be discussed with his wife |
That is a whole lot of moving. They have been living an almost like nomads, and that can be unsettling for some people. Knowing that there is an end in sight, may make all the difference. He should speak to her nicely, toast her into moving. No need for ghara ghara. What are her fears? Is she worried that she won't be able to get a job or might end up with a lower paying job at the new location? All he has to do is loosen the purse strings that way she doesn't feel she has to beg for every little thing she wants to purchase. Is she worried about moving the kids so much? He can convince her that this sacrifice will be beneficial to the whole family in the long run. Everything is about manner of approach. Ghara ghara and ultimatums never got anyone, anywhere |
