You don't have to agree with me neither do I have to agree with you. However to make it a personal mission to come for my comment , frankly It to ignore but you are noticed

That I made a similar comment, what does that have to do with craving attention. For years different comments have been made. Even answering student questions that has been asked repeatedly . That too is craving attention in faceless anonymous forum...smh

Madam lagosismyhome, let me tell you that you are among the few people I respect the most on this platform. I have never contacted you directly but I am confident that you've made huge impact on so many lives here. I'm saying this to let you know that I would never comment on your space rudely.

But then, Yoruba people say when a young fellow is cutting down a tree in the forest, the elderly usually know the direction in which the tree would fall. While the elderly were right with their predictions almost all the time, many atimes they don't tell the young fellow, that's because they believe they can't be right all the time.

Time has a way of healing even the most hurtful occurrence or experience. When people hope and clamor for things and God didn't make it happen, they adjust. The present issue of opening of embassies is beyond any of us here.
People go out in the US to perform their daily routines. We can't pray to remain under lock forever here. People that locked Nigerians up here have a way of traveling abroad when they want to.

US government is moving their permanent residents and citizens to the US when there is need for that. At least a flight is scheduled for that tomorrow (check their website). The people they are moving to the US tomorrow would consist majorly of Nigerians that have secured permanent residence in the US and those that are already citizens. They are not afraid to catch COVID, and they would rather associate with the US.

Even the COVID cases we are shouting in the US sef, it is becoming glaring that some figures are hyped. Check the attached picture here. CDC agreed they made mistakes in recorded cases. Initially reported 90k cases in Florida is coming down to 11k under scrutiny. See the margin!

So, please ma'am we need encouragement from you. If we have the opportunity to get to the US this Fall, we shall take precautionary measures. We shall live.

I personally understand your point of view, but hmm.. What is after number 6 is more than number 7 oo

I don't just know why Nigerians dont really set their priority right. America herself is still trying hard to contain the virus damage and here in Nigeria youth are only concern about achieving their selfish interest. If the airspace is open, and and people clamoring of travelling leave the country what about the hundreds of thier family member left behind in the country. Everyone should know that the virus is still very much around even if you are not too aware of that because of the peculiarity of Africa nations of lack of statistics taking. DONALD TRUMP just understood the effect of the virus yesterday and he has now made a u-turn of him down playing the virus. Please let all be patriotic and be considerate for once. Consider that funding, scholarships only existed when there is life. America no dey run away!!!
This post is uncalled for. Not now! I know you must be in the US to post this. Those outside the US are the ones crying now because everything seems to favor those in the US (at least for now). Who is selfish here? I advice that you watch what you say for now. People have a lot at stake presently. And don't forget that their concerns can't make embassies open (if you are afraid of that).

My own definition of selfishness is when someone is praying earnestly to have his classes online, get his stipends paid and enjoy his life with his girlfriends, to the detriment of those that are coming behind.

Something he wouldn't have prayed for if faced with either the option of leaving the States or pay out of his pocket.

Please, stop talking down on people.

Can you take these shots multiple times? I thought almost every Nigerian kid was immunized. I honestly can't even remember what I did when I was going to college some years back.
MMR and Varicella (chicken pox vaccine) are special vaccines. You don't get them for free. Those of us that got completely free immunization couldn't have gotten those ones.

Interested parents pay for those vaccines now in addition to the generally free immunization. I've seen people do that at UCH.

you only take the shots once. You are protected for life.

I suggest you find out if you can get it done in your school. When I was in Abuja my then HMO was billing me over ₦70,000 for the set but someone advised me to be patient and get it done after traveling. I did and my medical insurance covered everything.
This depends on the school policy. Some schools would not allow you to register for courses until you complete shots. If that is the case with you, the best thing would be to take the first shots here, and then take the second on arrival.

Hello everyone, I do hope that you all are fine and staying safe! Does anyone knows where I can get the Measles, Mumps and Rubeola virus vaccinations done in Lagos? How much and how quick can I get it done? I anticipate our responses.
You can try LUTH.

I took my shots here at UCH in Ibadan. I took the second shot 2 days ago.

MMR 1 and MMR 2 = #8600 that's #4300 per shot.

The gap between the first and the second shot is 4 weeks.

He should waka carefully. Some have been unable to get their visa after many attempt because of issue like this.
If you want a professional advise: DO NOT SUBMIT ANY DS160 yet, or he will chop refusal at the embassy.

First, contact that agent or go back to him/her for basic information he/she used 3 years ago. If you must change anything, make sure they are not critical information that will backfire during the interview. You don't even just want to take any advise from just anyone on this thread on this issue.
I know someone who has been refused 6 times because of same issue. Don't fill anything yet. Contact the agent and ask for information filled in certain places, then use that to guide yourself for the new application!
I still don't know why agents engage in such stupid act as filling wrong information for people that go to them. Maybe they think that would enable them get visa or they are just gambling with people's lives.

No wonder why the consular officers call them thugs.

Basically everyone should get set for July 15th at the very least
Thank you! UK Visa application center would open for Visa issuance from 27th July, here in NIGERIA.

US embassies may open at any time.

All the countries that seem to be opening are in the Americas region. Perhaps it gives some hope, but not much.
This is not part of Americas. Let's embrace the reality now. Against all odds, embassies are opening to attend to students enmass starting from 15th July. Enough of unsolicited interpretations.

TravelRe: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 15 by Picricchem: 1:10pm On Dec 11, 2019
Thanks for the update. You didnt respond to my mail. I sent my documents as requested.

kallowdean:
UPDATE:

I received almost 60 emails and I tried my possible best to respond to almost everyone, even within my busy schedule.
I faced so many challenges as many entries/applicants/students failed to provide the actual details of documents I had initially requested.

NOTE:
**There is a difference between WES Credential Report and WES iGPA calculator ( I did NOT request for an iGPA)
**The GRE is sufficient irrespective of the score, but many gave me a score where I could not even see their names.
**This assist is for STEM students
**The Application fee must NOT exceed $60. I expect students to have up to 3 different college choices.

Feedback:
FOR NOW: I have only selected 2 person(s) but will reach out to them before Xmas to finalize the login and pay their application fees.

Other STEM students having a complete authentic WES report and GRE score may still reach out to me.
TravelRe: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 15 by Picricchem: 3:11pm On Nov 26, 2019

Thank you so much for this offer. I am highly interested. Prospective MS Chemistry applicant, GRE 304. UG Chemistry Fall 2020. I PM you.

kallowdean:
Like I said:
In the name of God & giving back to my community (my root) irrespective of the status of anyone, I will be paying application fees for at least 5 different students (For now; Graduate students only). Below is the release of the criteria for this selection.
These are for the students targetting Fall of 2020.

Few Criteria:
Must be a STEM Course (Google meaning of STEM if it is a new word to you)
The undergraduate course must in a way be related to the applied graduate course.
The University/College must be at least within reputable, not community college.
Must be able to show a GRE score (the actual score itself isn't relevant to me, but must be an average score)
Must be enrolling for Fall (August 2020)
The application fee must not exceed $60 (Only 5 students are on my budget for now)
First come first serve basis based on complying with the Criteria.

I WILL NOW SAY Good Luck.

Sending it to address may fail. I used a specific post office box... UI P.O BOX. In that wise, it will be channelled directly to the box. All one needs to do is just to check the box after two weeks. The guy that did his evaluation before me didnt get his copies till now because he used his address and not a specific P.O BOX

Predstan:
"May Not" A friend of mine sent it twice, first to his Ogun state address and second, to his lagos address but he received none....
TravelRe: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 15 by Picricchem: 9:04am On Oct 02, 2019
Thats not always the case. My own arrived in 14 days. If you used a regular P.O BOX, it should arrive in two weeks. My evaluation was completed on 1st of August 2019, my copy arrived 14th August. Schools dont accept the online copy because it doesnt carry the owners name and other details.

Predstan:
No sorry, there is a trademark on that Soft Copy as Unofficial and cannot be used... I always advise people to pay that 75$ to get the godammn document in 5days. Now he has to pay 75$ plus 30$ to get it because you may not receive that one sent via post. Dont try that again with Nigeria. However, things might have changed, if there isn't a trademark on it, you can use it.

Thanks for this!

Best advice
Don't rewrite d GRE, aim for fall 2020 with middle ranked schools.

Fastest route
Rewrite d GRE n aim for spring 2020 but don't count on funding in first year

Good evening house. I need a candid advice.

My profile is:

GPA = 3.28/5.0

GRE: V.R = 155; Q.R = 149 AW = 3.0

Undergraduate Course Chemistry

Intended Major (Masters) : Chemistry or Material science.

I aimed UVM Chemistry initially, to meet up with their deadline, I wrote the GRE when I knew I wasn't fully prepare (5 weeks of preparation), unfortunately for me, I was not selected. Though they didn't complain about my scores, but I know that my Q.R is not good enough.

I'm planning to retake the GRE by May. Is it advisable for me to use my present scores to seek admission in schools where GRE scores are not ordinarily required e.g Illinois state University? Or should I wait till I retake the exam before I apply to any school I want to apply to. I'm targeting Spring 2020 admission and I want to spread my tentacles as wide as possible.

Kindly advise me. Your contribution will be highly appreciated. Thanks.
