Post Secondary Education starts from ND to B.Sc and MSC if you have one. They are expecting those transcripts and not your SSCE. On Evaluation, you need to check if they are are talking about WES. But literally, English Evaluation is needed if your transcript is not in English language. So if it's WES that they need, you have to do it. If not, your transcript is already in English and you just need to send it like that. Larryconcept: Dear All d Guru's in d plz help a broda. I Applied for Kutztown university in USA got dis mail today Have official transcripts sent from all post-secondary institutions attended.
Submit your official English transcript evaluation report.
Is dis wes they r askin for all wot?
If is Wes why all post-secondary institutions cos I only giv fill my university education details.
Please also help on how to go about it.
God Bless |

If you will still have 6 months on the day of your interview, you are good to go. If not, go and renew. But you better start the renewal process now, cos you can't travel with a passport with less than 6 months validity whether you have visa on it or not. Kassidy4luv: My passport will expire in six months time, should I renew or proceed with visa interview. Thanks |

MSU can be terrible with funding. Got admitted into their Ms Chemistry program in Spring 2020 but couldn't secure any form of scholarship or aid. I mailed the grad cord and also the HOD at some point. I even called the grad cord sef. Nothing came out. I was told they don't fund Master's cliffton: Which department did you apply to and what degree? Morgan is not that generous with funding. Perhaps they are looking into your funding request that's why you haven't gotten the admission letter yet. This would be a huge commitment to the school hence they want to take their time.
I applied to Morgan too but had terrible experience with WES and my stupid school here in Nigeria. Their lousiness made my WES evaluation to linger from Nov. 2020 to June 14th 2021. Though, the department keeps reminding me that they are still waiting for my credential to make a decision.
I hope it comes with funding too no matter how little and I doubt if I can still meet up with visa processing and all this year. |

KSU didn't give you any form of funding? Send me a dm please. MelaninGemstone: Visa denied in Lagos May 4, 2021
First time, First denial COA: $60k No funding at all University: Stevens Institute of Technology, NJ
NB: My best friend is saying I shouldn’t post my transcript on NL, but I’m posting it, so maybe someone will learn a thing or two.
Background: The queue was very long, over 300 people or more got interviewed today. Our biometrics were taken by 2 white guys. One middle aged and one young guy. I didn’t even know they were VO’s too. I thought they were just ordinary embassy staffs. I guess they were taking the biometrics to reduce the queue. Then as soon as there was no one else for biometrics. They resumed their VO duties.
There was an elderly VO, I was hoping he would interview me, he was not denying based on sentiments. He would analyze your case well and let you defend yourself and speak. He approved people that were able to speak well and defend themselves and denied those that were beating around the bush.
He had just finished interviewing someone, and it was my time to be interviewed, his window was vacant, but Unfortunately, as I approached, he left his desk, he was going for a short recess I think.
I was ushered to a young VO. One of those who were taking biometrics earlier.
VO: Pass your passport and I-20
Me: passed it
VO: What is taking you to the United States ?
Me: *talking boldly and with a loud voice* ...I am going to Stevens Institute of Technology, the third most prestigious University in the state of New Jersey for my Masters in CyberSecurity.
VO cuts in and says: I don’t need to know that information.
*insinuating that I shouldn’t have told him my school is the third most prestigious institution in NJ
*My heart started beating fast and I became nervous, that I have messed up.
VO: What would this degree do for you?
Me: This course of study has concentrations in Network security and data Protection and it pertains to what I currently need in my workplace for career growth. I work in an IT company.
*due to the fact that I was already nervous. I blurted the above out so fast.
VO tells me. Hold up. Take a deep breath. Now continue.
I continued...the course would also assist me to get the much needed promotion I have been working so hard for in my company.
VO: How many schools did you apply to?
Me: I also applied to Bowling Green State University, Bowie University Maryland and Kennesaw State University.
VO: How many admitted you?
Me: Stevens, BGSU and KSU admitted me, while I’m waiting a response from Bowie.
VO: Who’s paying for this?
Me: My mother ...then I added, I have her account statement here.
VO: What does she do?
Me: She is a real estate developer, she acquires hectares of land and develops it into estates. She also builds houses and sells. And develops for people too.
VO: How many staffs does she have ?
Me: About 15-20
VO: What is her monthly income
Me: 3.6 million.
*Now this was where I messed up. My mom does not have a fixed monthly income. She is a businesswoman and her money comes in steadily. I don’t know what made me say 3.6 million. I was already nervous and feeling dizzy. I’m sure my mother earns more than that monthly.
VO: Who does she live with ?
Me: She lives with my younger sister
*Honestly I don’t understand why he asked me this question
VO: Who do you live with ?
Me: I live alone, then I added with my fiancée
*I actually live with my fiancée, I don’t know why I said I live alone in the first place. Maybe because my fiancée is not currently around and I have been alone for 2 months.
VO: You live alone, with your fiancée. Okay
He types on his system for about a minute.
*I feel they type in the questions they ask us and our responses for record purposes.
VO reaches to the stack of letters, picks out a denial letter and hands to me. Then says “you don’t have the funding requirement for this program”
He didn’t even bother checking my moms account statement. It had a very good balance |

I will strongly advise that you stop bothering them. They will communicate their decision to you when they are ready. Just relax, all will be well. Azeebabe: Good afternoon all. Please, is anyone going to Texas Tech this Fall? I applied for a PhD in Geosciences and all I see on my application portal is Departmental review since late January early February.
I contacted the Graduate school last month and was asked to contact my Department. I did that, the Grad coordinator replied me saying they are in the midst of review. I sent him another mail last week but he is yet to reply. I am just wondering how long the review process takes. Please, is there anyone experiencing this too as well?
Thanks while I await your responses. |

2. Is the duration of history of account statement 3 months or 6 months?
I appreciate a quick response.

That this is rehearsed and unoriginal is so blatantly obvious. 1. UALR may score highly in teaching quality, but higher than MIT, UCLA, UPENN, PENN State, Yale, Stamford, NYU, Columbia? 2. There is nothing "unique" about UALR allowing you to choose a thesis or non-thesis masters option. That is standard across most grad schools. 3. Nothing special about the TV and radio station owned by UALR. This is commonplace in other schools. PBS/NPR stations (which are cable news channels) are typically run by universities. The Houston version is run by the University of Houston.
1. The US has serious problems with its own media. How will a masters degree in the US help you fix reporting bias in Nigerian news media? 2. A masters of art in Mass Comm from UALR will not give you a competitive edge in Nigeria... you and I know that.
Your program is communication, not a STEM program. It is unclear how hands on reporting in the US will make you any more effective than reporters here in Nigeria.
Bottomline... you are not ready for the interview. Your responses are far too long (you have 3 minutes or less) and clearly insincere. Any respectable VO will read through you in a few seconds. You need to revise your responses - I suggest just sticking to the truth would be a good start. Dear TWoods, Thanks so much for this honest review. I will appreciate your review of my transcript too. I hope the OP will learn from this critical analysis and readjust the transcript accordingly. |

1. Based on what my school told me, the rule has not changed. You can print the copy sent to you for interview. 2. The window is 120 days. Count your start date on I-20 120 days backward. Or simply 4 months 2 days backward. tracyroy: Hello everyone. Pls I have some questions I need clarification on.
1. Is the printed copy of my form I-20 received by email, valid for visa interview? Or must it be the hard copy shipped by the school?
2. What date on my I-20 do I consider for the 180days rule between; earliest admission date or program start date?. Thank you. |

Thanks so much for this @Twoods TWoods: Go for your interview but make sure you apply for a new passport ASAP. The 6 month passport validity is required when you fly. |

Hello everyone! Please I need your opinion on this.
My passport will have a validity of 6 months and 1 day on my scheduled day of interview.
I have paid and entered the passport number on interview schedule since last year and I don't want to lose the money. Passport renewal may also take time from experience and I want to go for interview early.
Kindly advise if this will fly based on passport validity rule. |

TWoods: So if I wait patiently for your wife, it is a sign confirming that I deserve her?
Sorry but I have to laugh at our predilection for thinking every statement that sounds nice is necessarily true. Context is the spine of meaning. |

electromagnito: Hi guys, just some contribution, although I have made up my mind to stick to my PhD here in France while I am yet to reject my PhD offer at University of Hawai'i, one of the reason I won't be going to the US is the Covid-19 brouhaha, I still talk to my supervisor and he is not sure if embassy will even open for spring 2021 talk more fall 2020, we still talked this morning and he was saying if it may need, he will need to talk to the funding society ACS to push my PhD to fall 2021 can you imagine, lol although I won't be going to the US anyway, I am not that desperate, so I will stick to my PhD here in France. So. What I want to conclude from this is that, try looking for something to keep you busy because the embassy is not going to open anytime soon not for Nigeria with the way our government is playing politics with Covid-19, EU ban Americans for now, while Americans did same, so I believe US will replicate same to African country if they manage to beat their curve down. Stay blessed guys I thought I've heard it all. You are presently studying in France? All will be well... |

sheke01: Point of correction. CDC never agreed to any mistake. Main stream Republicans have gone past "denial" stage with respect to Covid. Even Trump has accepted that Covid will get much much worse. So pay no attention to Deanna Lorraine and her stupid theories and useless tweets. Anybody with a smart phone and data will tweet. let her come and explain why ICU beds have maxed out in most parts of Florida.
We should learn to do more research and evaluate what we hear. Don't just accept anything you hear as the truth just because it aligns with your optimism I agree with you sir. CDC did not come out to agree with that but there is an element of truth in what she said. |

Schrodinger1: This was outrightly uncalled for. She does mean no harm. I want to believe you're very new on this forum if not, you wouldn't have made such malicious comment. You're also quick to attack those in diaspora.
The way many Nigerians that want to leave for this Fall think is not just ridiculous but rather pathetic. You derive pleasure in chastising those that have left and already studying abroad whenever they tell us the truth and what the reality is. The current situation is beyond our control and we must know that.
Particularly, when they tell us not to be over ambitious, but be proactive and frugal in spending and in each stage of the process, we go about calling them names, attacking them like they invented the virus.
Unsurprisingly, many Nigerians prefer being deceived and given false hope especially when the otherwise is highly probable. Little wonder the country itself is in this precarious state since independence.
Just so you know, No Nigerian here is more willing to depart for this fall like myself. I'm 10times as desperate as anybody here. It's my 4th year in this hustle. I've once been denied without funding last time. Now with a full funding plus GA and an active SEVIS Fee that will expire in few weeks time, I ought to be more bias and subjective than yourself. Yet I'm not. Learn to see things logically and not with the church mentality.
I'd advise us to hope things would turn around for our good for the Fall, but do not expect it will.
Hopefully, everything dies down before spring. You have said it right brother. God bless you. But I don't think anyone needs to give majority of us any hope. If we can go through these up till now, I don't think we need anybody to give us any news from abroad or give us any false hope. Majority of us are not kids. Like you said, the reality is glaringly the opposite of our hope for this Fall. But we are still hopeful and e get why. I know how much I have spent on this hustle up to this point and I know what is at stake. So, I personally don't appreciate any words of discouragement or anyone telling me to throw my opinion away. But then, you have to say your mind in a respectful manner. Let us respect the opinion of those that are truly affected. If they hope, they have the right to hope. If it didn't happen, they've gat nothing to lose. I understand that cautious advice is necessary for newbies e.g don't pay SEVIS FEES until you secure an appointment, but telling them they are deceiving themselves or they are selfish, is not a good advice now. |

omomayelakesi: Is this necessary? It is painful someone has to put this comment on my space. I pray this teaches him a lesson he will never forget. |
