datalossvictim1: But why can't ordinary Nigerians use their own initiative when it comes to the production of electricity?
I'm not even close to Nigeria yet I am making sure my masters degree/work experience will be centred around environmental waste conversion to energy. I hope to come back to make excellent use of this knowledge. However it will be difficult if there is no collective effort.
Of what use is your brain if you do not use it?
Dear Nigerian Adults, please wake up and start using your brains... Please stop this insult, it's because of a Nigerian you are posting in this forum , we use our brains. Are you generating your own electricity and are you refining your own fuel? |

Progressive01: [s][/s]PDP as a party is as useless as Yellow Fagg in Kuje prison.
Same party that told us Ekiti law maker died in DSS custody only for them to give his "ghost" a car few days later.
Same party that ruled for sixteen years without achieving as much as the country's self reliance in tooth pick production.
Same party that showed us "spidermen kids" in Cameroon and tagged them as school children in Edo.
Same party that showed us roads in Yaounde and tagged them Jonathan's roads.
Same party that showed us pics of Kwankwaso's projects in Kano and tagged them Jonathan's giant strides in housing in Lagos!
Same party that is demanding a president do in ONE YEAR things they couldn't do in SIXTEEN!
One's reputation is built on their antecedents and PDP totally lacks what it takes for one to believe whatever they say.[s][/s] |

WE ARE SURE YOU WERE NOT IN AKWA IBOM BEFORE 2007 THREREFORE, YOU CANNOT TELL THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THEN AND NOW. TO US, EVEN IF AKPABIO MADE SOME MONEY, HE IS NOT LIKE MANY NIGERIAN LEADERS (LIKE THOSE FROM YOUR REGION) WHO LOOTED AND LEFT NOTHING TO SHOW ON THE GROUND. WE HAVE SEEN PHYSICALLY, HIS PEOPLE ORIENTED PROJECTS. THOSE PROJECTS HAS TRANSFORMED THE STATE. YOUR OPINION THEREFORE IS FOOLISH TO SAY THE LEAST. HE IS AN ALL ROUND SUCCESS. IF YOUR REGION HAD LEADERS LIKE HIM, IT WILL NOT BE WHERE IT IS TODAY. GIVE HONOUR TO WHOM HONOUR IS DUE. Epic |

bellyjean: [s][/s]I laff in filipino If I hear wetin... the man no do shingbain, he didn't do shishi .
Come to Akwa ibom, even Uyo, the state capital, he did nothing. Many unfinished road contracts. Ikot ekpene has got only Four point by sheraton (abi na akpabio build am?) the hotel management is counting their losses now. Wealth gap is just too wide and if u ain't working in mobil, u're just surviving in Akwa ibom.
Eket nko? Chaiiiii.
Akwa ibom's literacy rate is very low. Na okada youths dey do.
Let me educate u @ OP, any growth/development or perceived growth/development must be inclusive. You don't call beautiful government house growth, u don't call some beautiful park or flyover with flood lighting at night growth. Growth is when it is felt across all functional sectors.
Akpabio is the greatest thief. They say 'to whom much is given much is expected'. Dont be fooled guys. If you are not here, the stories u hear about Akwa ibom is doctored and full of lies. Akwa ibom is not very different from other poor states in nigeria. The good roads that lead into Akwa ibom are MNDA constructed roads and that is why they look good. Internal roads in Akwa ibom state/cities/towns are very bad.
Situation of light here is not different from Osun state. Only Ibeno gets almost 24/7 light from Mobil.
I've got so much to say. But I rest my fingers here.
Akpabio is a superfraud and only few Akwa ibom people realise that. [s][/s] Akwa Ibom was transformed by Akpabio. Truth be told, I marveled when I visited. Formerly Calabar used to be the popular destination in that region but he changed this trend. Also when Calabar Airport was undergoing renovation, the Airport built by Akpabio was very helpful to some of us who transit often. Is he not the one who built the stadium, why all this lies na? |

jogojogo: Obj factor? When his daughter couldnt win an election?Obj factor in kaduna where the pdp vice president hailed from? Obj factor in Benue, taraba, adamawa, kogi...GeJ won in these northern places in 2011, what then happened in 2015?... Leave out all these factor matter. Obj even lost out against Falae in 1999. It was the north that voted mostly for him. If Buhari fails to perform no factor will retain him in office beyond 2019 I was pointing out the reasons why the South West voted for Buhari in my previous post, the reasons why Buhari won in the North is very obvious too. If OBJ lost out in 1999 against a fellow Yoruba candidate does it mean that he would lose out to a candidate from South South? Or does it mean that he will lose to the same opponent in 2011? Is that how you think politics is? If people's vote remain the same why do you think politicians spend so much money on campaigning? Politicians play on sentiments, they use money, they use almost anything that will go in their favor to attract votes. You need to understand what politics is all about before trying to argue. |

jogojogo: How come this same West voted him in his first attempt when he contested against Buhari and how come some state like Kaduna, Adamawa,Taraba, benue and kogi voted him in his first attempt?
Lagos state voted ACN for Governor and voted GeJ for presdient even though there was a presidential canditate for ACN in 2011. Observe that most of thse states voted in favour of GEJ in 2011 but in 2015 voted against him. What simply happened within the four years? Performance of course. Samething will happen to Buhari if he fails to perform. OBJ factor is the reason and APC included a Yoruba VP candidate, stop acting like you don't understand politics |

Admit it a not, PDP was voted and kicked out because of bad perormance.Nigerians were ultimately tired of the destructive party who never meant well for the citizenry.
Nigerians were smiling, happy and enjoying yet they opted for an unkown party. Right? The North and South West voted against him, but we in the East and South South voted for him, so don't you think we count? You talk as if the whole of Nigeria wanted him out, which is a big lie. |

blueto: Is like someone needs to go and tutor buhari in Aso Rock on the discrepancy between being a oppositions and being an adversary(enemy).
It is because from his actions so far, we can infer that he takes oppositions as his perceived enemies .
Oppositions are concerned about the growth and development of the nation, that is why make reprimanding statements against the incumbent govt to instill discipline and effectiveness in them for the good of the nation.
though they still maintain an agendum of attaining political bureau by dethroning the incumbent govt, but their foremost agendum is to influence the govt for good and palatable leadership. Exactly, but once you begin to play an active role in opposing some perceived unfavorable stance taken by this govt you will be exposing yourself to persecution eg Fayose and the likes. It seems true democracy ended with Jonathan. |
