Lukaku can continue to do a job for us but if we mistake see anybody wey go help us recoup our 75m then we need to take the deal sharply.
Crystal Palace are in dire need of a striker, they already have premier league money and may sell Zaha too for a hefty fee. we should try and codedly invite them to tempt lukaku.

Solkjaer is always looking like someone who is yet to believe what is happening in his life, the constant look of joy/excitement on his face. Lol.

So far, he has not said one wrong word, from his first interview till now. He knows exactly what to say and how to say it, except when he overdid it and called Antonio Valencia one of the best attacking right backs in Europe grin

I actually cannot wait to see him against really good sides, so we know for sure if we should no longer bother with Pochettino.

I know you also like Ashley Young and Valencia , but you will not sanction 60m for their purchase if you have the opportunity, or even half of that.

Woodward may be a tool but God bless him for not allowing mourinho bring Willian, perisic and Boateng to this club. Possibly losing martial too, in exchange for one of those bums.

Na another song we for dey sing now

Defence is bad, so the solution is to subject it to pressure at the slightest opportunity, then come out crying in press conference that the entire team isn't good enough when they inevitably crack under the pressure he loves to invite for no reason.
Walahi, na thunder go fire mourinho and his wayward logic

Hope it is not the 'visible improvement' that saw Liverpool changing managers but never winning the title. Always nearly, nearly from Rafa to Rogers to now
better than playing shít and battling relegation.
When we get to that stage where all that is left is that final step to clinch the title, we will know what to do
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by PietroRick: 5:36pm On Dec 03, 2018
Knowing this board, they will probably wait until it's mathematically impossible to meet some targets so they can dismiss him without needing to pay him off heavily.

Ok, I am watching. Let’s see how things unfold and if a new coach can bring instant success with these boys.
success may not be instant but visible improvements and a clear direction will be.. With the right appointment.
At the moment we are not only dreadful on the pitch of play and not getting results, it doesn't even look like there is a clear plan in place to get us out of this mess.
Mourinho says he needs more players, but how many players can we realistically get in January that will make beating teams in the bottom 5 a routine again?

Why will the board even trust his judgment in the transfer market anymore after all they have seen so far?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by PietroRick: 4:53pm On Dec 03, 2018
If the board had any wisdom, they would ditch mourinho asap, and just use the remaining part of the season as experiment, an experiment that will guide a more calculated decision in the summer.
I don't think it's possible for us to get relegated, so I don't exactly see how wrong things could go
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by PietroRick: 4:47pm On Dec 03, 2018
The ones that look like they are talented, can't be arsêd.
While the ones who have all the passion simply are not good enough.
This is the sorry state of Manchester united football club at the moment.
De gea is beginning to move closer and closer to the first category on a weekly basis, and who can blame him?
How much more of Matic mctominay Jones back 3 can you take before you eventually give up on life?

Not every coach can assemble such players and make them difficult to breakdown. That is Mourinho's strongest point.

His team doesn't worry about losing the ball or gifting possession to opponent, but his team makes it impossible for the opponent to attack meaningfully. They easily over power you and regain possession, then knock the ball around attacking area until they force one or two goals and the game is over.
that these kind of players are no longer available and ready to be cherry picked is exactly why mourinho is widely regarded as finished or outdated to put it nicely.

Plus nobody can convince me there is not a single soul available that can take over these group of players and bring Instant visible improvements without even needing to delve into the transfer market.
Spending extra 200 to 400m should be taking us straight to the highest level, not just make us look like a team again.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by PietroRick: 10:53pm On Dec 01, 2018
This useless team keeps doing just about enough to keep mourinho in the job, while not making any real progress. It's disgusting.
They can't even be shít properly ffs
We are in for a long ride, at this rate

This is what i will say about Chukwueze.

He does have great potential. Why? He has over a very short period forced himself into the Villarreal first team. He did so by his exceptional displays in the B team.

Already after just 3 senior starts, he has 2 goals and an assist.

He played 10 minutes against Rangers in his debut for the first team. That was his first ever senior match. He has grown since then to become a starter and an important player for Villarreal.

And yes, he is currently amongst the highest rated youngsters in Spain.

Whether, he will reach his potential is another thing but the early signs are very promising.

I will say this, Nigeria has not had a player like Chukwueze for a long time.
some people will spontaneously combust if they ever argue like this.. I'm sure

English football is intrinsically corrupt.

It's not as easy the best player club administrators, recruitment are looking mostly for the best DEAL AND not necessarily the best player.

The stories I could tell.

That's why the FA Cup is such an eye opener, you see non league clubs beating league clubs.
things are not always black and white in football, everyone should know that.
Nobody is saying invite him, make him the main stay and try to force him to deliver.
It will hurt no one to take a closer look to see if there is anything there or even take a small gamble, that can be quickly ended if it doesn't work out
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by PietroRick: 7:17pm On Nov 13, 2018
I don't expect to drag this argument on for too long, this will my last contribution.

It's not like the recommender is concluding after watching him for two games or so, or even this season.
He seems to know the player inside out and has watched him deliver in the championship before.

Calling out his eye for talent surely is better than the rubbutal I see here tbh.

In the end three points for the super eagles against SA is the immediate concern. Anything else is derailing, to a degree

Chucks Aneke isn't the first and neither will he b the last English player of Nigerian origin to perform well in the English lower division and its academy...we have had them plenty in the past...but how many of them lived up to their potentials? The quality of football in the league two is far too low to use as a basis for qualification to the SE..maybe for the age grade teams....

Talent doesn't hide.. If he is good enough,in a few years,he will be playing at a better team..and if that happens and we lost him,no problem...heaven won't fall..

But for now,its a no! we have better players out there . Chuks can try out for the age grade teams...
still not enough reason to dismiss him without having a look at the very least.

tbaba1234:
That is not what is being said.

He needs to step up and prove it. Ofcourse, there are talents in lower leagues but the test of how good they are is when they step up.
so you are okay with losing a potential diamond in the rough, because the opportunity to step up missed him..
You may be, and it's fine but I don't buy it.

Aneke needs to prove himself on a higher level. You can not invite him based on his league 2 performance, it does not tell us how good he is.
I do not buy into the absolute theory that nothing good can come out of certain set ups.
If someone with good judgement spots a good talent in non league, the very least we could do is xray him ourselves and not just dismiss him with the wave of a hand
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by PietroRick: 6:48pm On Nov 13, 2018
How some of you argue here can be funny as hell sometimes cheesy
Now, I don't know who chuks aneke is or what he is or isn't capable of but I should have more to shut down someone advocating for him than the extremely lazy narrative of 'he plays in league 2, for that sole reason, he can't possibly be good enough'
These things are not exactly black and white, how can anyone not know??

How can you have little to no idea about a player but think you can counter the excellent and well articulated points of someone that does know him intimately?? grin

Except there is something I'm missing and komekn has a history of questionable judgment then you could do a lot better to improve the quality of debate here..

Good job anyway guys grin
