Offside trap no mean say you go remain static after them don play ball nau

Maybe if the defender of the universe was doing his job like you said he was covering the whole defence there wont be need to make saves

See the voltron guy marking Maguire here, 3 seconds later Maguire is celebrating a goal while his marker was left standing at the same spot you could have confused him for a tree
I don't know how but van Dijk slander dey sweet my Belle.
There's precious little of it around. Keep up the good work

The hype train was getting out of hands at some point.

But if it ever came to the point where we have to choose between splashing for a RW or splashing for a RB, I would prefer the former.
It's easier to get someone who can 'do a job' at right back.

I didn't expect us to be in contention for 4th at all this season as at the time of Jose's sack, never mind in the blink of an eye.

By now we would be able use Dalot a lot more to see for certain if we can rely on him next season or not, while comfortably chesting any possible downsides.

Now there's too much at stake to even play our 50m midfield signing without extreme caution.

What is currently happening to Fred and Keita is why I will forever be skeptical about some kind of imports.
I saw these guys ball out (Fred in the CL and keita a few times in the bandesliga). In that 6 months waiting period, before he came to Liverpool, I was watching him sometimes and feeling hella envious.

See how badly the two of them are struggling at the moment. I almost have no explanation.

For Fred though, I think once he stops expecting to have all the time in the world when receiving the ball, he will be fine.

I need to watch Wan Bissaka a bit more to better assess him.
Right now i would prefer Meunier or Cancelo, but that’s not to say someone else can’t be the answer.
I've been in awe of how good that boy is EVERYTIME I've seen him play.

He is literally impossible to get past. In 1v1 situations he is incredible. His tackling and interception stats are off the charts.
He's good on the ball and a good dribbler himself.

The only flaw I can see in his game at the moment is his positioning but he more often than not makes up for it with his speed and incredible tackling.
And even that will undoubtedly improve in the coming years.

He's a guaranteed starter for England in 2 years, especially at the rate Kyle walker is going and now that Trippiers fraudulence is becoming increasingly evident.

One of the surest ways of winning transfer market in your league is being the first to genuine quality that are league proven, much Less adaptation time.
It's a strategy liverpool have been operating very efficiently and has been behind their steady progress from an unserious club to genuine contenders for the title and even Europe

I don't know what you are all on about re wan bissaka.
I would throw Dalot away (despite his perceived potential), fosu and fosu Mensah (sharpish) to have him here.
And I'm a big fan of Dalot.
Na so Una go dey do until he goes to city or Chelsea and we go dey bite our fingers.

That said, his coming doesn't even need to spell doom for Dalot. They can both be rotating and Dalot can even be covering left back, potentially even displacing Shaw in the near future when he's found his feet.

By the end of the season, he would have been delivering consistently for over a year and a half.
What other testing do you need?

Watched it. That Southampton team with older and bigger players parked the bus for 90mins.
Their coach Radhi Jaïdi should be ashamed.

George Tanner at RB was useless going forward, he is not going to make it here.
Williams at LB was quite good in both boxes even though he is right footed.
Our CBs can pass the ball but like i said earlier they are crap defenders.

Garner, Levitt, and Gomes bossed the midfield but struggled to really create chances.

Greenwood was not on form but he still created our best chances.
Chong didn’t have a good game, and he struggled with decision making.
Levitt's time away from the spotlight Greenwood, Garner et all have seems to be coming to an end too.

Its a good thing our next manager is going to be someone that won't ignore youth for sure. Anyone we end up with between Pochettino and Ole (if he continues to impress) will be fine.
They are both guaranteed to give what we have coming from within a proper look in.

Worst case scenario we fill up squad spaces with some of these guys in the next 2-3 years, even if they don't develop to be World beaters and then only go out to break the bank for confirmed gems.

Nicky Butt deserves credit for the way he's running the academy.

Afrodoc2, were you able to catch the u23 match today?
Levitt made his first start. There were a couple of other debutants too.
The team was basically the u18 team of last season, that McKenna was using to flog everybody. Word is that they played very well, even though they lost by a lone goal.
Be like them don chase all the average young adults out of the club either on loan or permanently.

''Those who have rarely been used this season have also felt ignored at Chelsea’s Cobham training ground, with Sarri admitting that he is following the advice of Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola by only working to improve 14 of his players during his first 12 months.

“For him (Guardiola), it's impossible to improve, in the first season, 20 players,” said Sarri in December. “He told me, in the first season, you have to work only on 14 players otherwise you are in trouble. You need too much time to improve all the squad. In England, it's really very difficult.”

If this Sarri lasts till May, i will ask eruditor not to eat his hand.

Hmm, Pochettino thinks being in the top 4 is more important than winning the title...
that's not exactly what he meant.
His point was that cup wins are not the best indication of the progress he's making or the work he is doing in general.
He's absolutely correct.
His choice of words sometimes is what is causing the problem.

There are some decent midfielders.

Gomes appears to have settled as a midfielder now, which is better for him cos he would not have made it as an attacker IMO.

James Garner is the darling of the coaches but is just 17 like Greenwood. He is mainly a CDM

Dylan Levitt does not have as much hype as Garner but i really like him, he supplies a lot of Grenwood’s goals. He is a CM/AM.

ALL the central defenders are crap. From reserves to 18. Very, very crappy.

The most highly rated full back is Ethan Laird who OGS mentioned in his last interview.
Only 17 but physically mature BUT it seems he is a little injury prone.
He is a RB.
I try to watch all academy highlights I can lay my hands on, and Levitt splitting defences open with o pass from deep is quite common.

A number of really good players are quietly developing in the shadow of the ones currently in the spotlight (Gomez, Greenwood, Chong etc).

Apart from Laird, I hear good things about O'Connor but he's a bit all over the place, playing across the defence line.
RB today, CB next day and LB, the day after.
He trained with the Irish national team in the last international break

Ole has to know when to stop trying to make everyone happy.
No point trying to stroke everyone's cöck at the expense of the team. That you stroked Pogba's cöck and he delivered doesn't mean you go about stroking all cöcks in sight.
Some people are simply not worth the hassle.

I don't see any reason for Mata starting ahead of Sanchez for example if lingard wasn't going to play, other than the fact that Mata didn't play any part in midweek.

Pereira has no business starting for this club at the moment, and if he cannot accept it, the door is open.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by PietroRick: 12:00am On Jan 30, 2019
Perreira will always be behaving like someone who believes he is a lot better than he actually is and instead of putting his head down to do the work needed to improve, he will be sulking. It's disgusting.

I struggle to see what he brings to this team that mctominay or Fellaini, (both of who everyone is eager to see binned) can't.

Annoying fella

Anyhow sha. Cant win them all. Burnley is always a tough nut to crack for us and great spirit to fight back for a draw even tho we should ve won.

And thank God the honeymoon is over tho. This near miss should serve as a reality check for the boys.

The quality is there but consistency is all that is needed if we are to survive February and March. Rashford cant be missing chances like that against the top teams.
baba forget
Burnley this season have been food for every man and his dog.
We fúck up.

Starting lukaku and Mata who can't press for shít, just to displace Rashford to the left was the beginning of the whole thing.
We should never start both of them, ever again.

How can you be allowing those useless burnley defenders to be passing amongst themselves at the back when at the slightest pressure they would hoof it back to you?

I am not just talking about the counterattacking football in general but about the tactic of the front 3 players(especially the wide men) almost never coming back to help the full backs.

The overload on the full backs is incredible in this system but the advantage is that we often have 3 of our players against 2 of the opposition defenders during our counters.

It is a gamble that has worked so far but that overload on our full backs can’t be allowed to continue.
I think it was a calculated risk.
Ole knew spurs and Arsenal had old and centre backs, vulnerable on 1 v 1's and he counted on that.

I don't think he will try that against teams with younger/ faster defenders who won't be burnt for pace and can hold their own in 1v1's.
