chic2pimp:that 2nd leg liverpool team? Come on. Lmao. |
I no know wether people dey dope or not for football. But at the level I play(Dean's cup), where we are all terrible and coaching input is zero, the class with no exam in sight, and more time to train, hence more fitness usually outperforms all the others. My class won the competition when we were in 200l (non exam year) mainly because we could outrun and outlast every other team I Don represent my medical school at national level for football, that's as close to any pinnacle that I have to reach and when your body is tired, trust me the mind follows. You will be seeing the right thing to do but will simply be unable |
raumdeuter:you are taking examples from the 2 extremes to argue and it's disingenuous. No need to compare a normal messi with an enhanced Adama Traore. The point of this whole discussion is what difference of PEDs will have on footballers of largely similar skill level. And a vast majority of professional footballers in the top 5 leagues for example are under the gausian curve dome. You cannot be arguing this case with outliers from either side of the graph. It's mischievous Use of PEDs in this situation cannot be taken to just not count. If people use PEDs. The gulf does not have to be wider than gulf of Mexico. A normal kdb will not get anywhere close to a doped pogba for example |
Lukaku is going for sure
|
Looks like inter cannot go beyond 50m for lukaku. We are not that desperate to have him gone, they can remain in their lane. Lukaku is still a very serviceable striker |
Dembele is better in the air than lukaku, knows how to use his physicality unlike daddy lukaku and will not be having spells in the middle of the season looking overweight. If at all lukaku is a better goalscorer, the difference is negligible. Dembele will also hold our general play back several levels like daddy lukaku And he is sure as hell sending Rashford back out wide in a few months, if he comes |
MRTA7:lukaku's case is like Sanchez but to a much less egregious scale. The club is looking at the financial package and his projected contribution side by side and have nothing against cutting ties. Ole doesn't trust him enough to be first choice and we can all see why. First touch aside, he's not nearly mobile enough to play the way Ole wants. It makes no sense to keep him as a 2nd choice striker/auxiliary right winger, with his financial package(fee and wages). It makes sense to sell him and use the money to get a 1st choice striker that we can actually use or get a more financially viable 2nd choice - Moussa dembele of lyon is someone I like for this role Rated at 40m, wage will not be more than 150k, will bring to the table almost everything lukaku has to offer but with a much better 1st touch. |
eph12:lol. He's the only reason we have a 0.1% Chance in this transfer. That Barcelona were willing to deal with him is a surprise and the guy is pushing the club to their limits on top of all of this. He's such a bastard. Lol |
Ibime:Rohr likes his wingers and strikers old fashioned. Wide men running down to the byeline and strikers being a physical menace. Onyekuru can play both positions but he's more of a modern attacking player. An inside forward who can play down the middle as a striker. Rohr is ready to die on his front 3 of Ighalo, Samuel Kalu and Simon Moses/Musa If Ighalo stinks too much, there is that lanky midget land striker waiting. Even iwobi plays central and deep for him. Na force them dey force am to even invite Henry. If you get spare time, look up the kind of strikers wey Rohr don play around with since he come. Lol. Nwaekeme, lokosa, etc. There's 1 common denominator. I'm sure it Anichebe or Ameobi were still relevant, they would be in the thick of his super eagles team. |
Lol. How do people even begin to support another club? How do you begin to get familiar with their history and legends? Except I wan Port to clubs like city and shekpe wey no get legends. How do you begin to learn about the nitty gritty from the administrative structure and youth set ups? There's a host of other technicalities to navigate on top of all of these |
Ibime:onyekuru is a baller. I've been a big fan from his eupen days PietroRico: PietroRick:Ribery's replacement sorted for the foreseeable future. Emenalo could never
|
Ibime:and onyekuru. Lol |
afrodoc2:I was worried that the string of good performances the newly promoted boys were putting together, towards the end of the season would buy him some more time. Nicky Butt looks like someone that knows his onions. He has been silently doing an excellent job with the youth set up. I'm surprised no one has mentioned him for the TD role when guys like Rio and fletcher are being considered. Then again, this is probably because Ed knows that the TD appointment is just to keep fans quiet. I saw the job description of the position the other and I couldn't help but laugh at how redundant it would be. |
In one of the concluding matches of the season, Chong came on as a sub and in the first few minutes, he was opening as much space as he could with some intelligent movement but the 10 other idiots had no idea how to help him utilize it. Before that game finished he had regressed to the level of their Moronic and lifeless off ball movements. |
There's a rotten culture of laziness and a host of other vices in the squad at the moment and we run the risk of corrupting/infecting new arrivals and promotions if we don't attack the rotteness from the core by decimating some of the dead wood that are reservoirs for these diseases |
There's Neres and Van de beek in that Ajax team sef, no spotlight on them and they will improve us significantly without bleeding our budget. Make we sha sit down dey watch Ole and Ed.. |
Leyqute:that guy looks like the truth but that release clause stuff dey make the issue complicated. Intelligent footballer, with very good movement and calmness in front of goal. E sha no make sense to blow half our budget on the guy but I would love him here. In an ideal world we would bring him and Sancho here. Sancho is originally From the a LW anyway. If martial does not want to compete he would then be asked to fúck off. But the gaping holes we have all over our defensive line and midfield, sigh. All the MBS takeover rumors just die once, I no know wetin happen. I was a little hopeful ![]() |
Abeg I don rant finish, I will see you all when I see you all. Happy Sunday to all of you. |
If we have to go the entire season with Shaw as our only left back and Ashley Young rotating with Dalot for the RB spot, not even van Dijk in that central defence will make us finish above 6th again Clever ways to spread the budget, and improve the squad even if na small, is imperative. Otherwise we for just buy all them Sancho, dembele, koulibaly, De Ligt, wan bissaka, chilwell, jovic, Ndombele, Neves, tielemans in one window. I mean, I don't think there is anyone on earth who would complain if this became a possibility |
Alderweireld 25m Muenier 25 Grimaldo or someone in his mould for about 35m is already 85m. If you don't already see the instant and massive face lift the defence is getting wiry these, then no amount of explaining will do. Herreras replacement will not cost less than 65m especially if we are looking like players in the mould of Partey or Ndombele. Maybe Tieleman for less, still we looking at 40m here. Ideally we should be looking at a specialist dm, players in the mould of rodri, Neves or Ndidi, even gueye. Nobody here will cost less than 40m. The less matic involvement next season, the better our chances and neither mctominay or Fred can take us anywhere as his replacement. These already leaves us about 20m shy of 200m and I never talk of any attacking signing. The championship speedster, 15m and money don finish |
All the so called younger defenders will cost an arm to get and many of them are not as good as alderweireld is, and will probably never even be. We might as well spend our budget on Maguire and go into the season with 1 or more of *fatty as our only recognized left back ![]() *young as starting right back *Fred Matic Pereira and mctominay as midfield options behind pogba, if this one remains. *lukaku as first choice right winger with Mata and Sanchez as back up. Lol. *martial as our only real LW All these positions to fill with 200m in this market and 25m for alderweireld is not a no brainer? Ok then. Make we go buy koulibaly for 120m then |
We are trying to build a squad with the future in mind, no mean say we go totally ignore the present. Otherwise we would have given the mantle fully to Greenwood, Gomez and all their youth counterparts. I can't believe believe a central defense that has Smalling Jones and Rojo will have any doubts about adding alderweireld for next to nothing because he is 30 years old and will die of stroke in the next minute ![]() Then again, some of you saw wan bissaka and had Doubts about his addition to the squad ![]() So I cannot be too surprised here. Anyone that believes we cannot get 2 years out of him, at the level he currently is, is just being overly pessimistic or paranoid. Fúck, in 4 years he is not deteriorating to Jones or rojos level. 30 year old alderweireld is a massive risk but we can splash almost half our budget on koulibaly who is a massive 12 months or so younger. We don't have to wait until he doesn't have the legs to play football anymore before we buy another CB too. So it's not like once we buy him, we are stuck with only him as our CB purchase for the next 3 to 4 years. |
MRTA7:if he wanted to renew at spurs he would have, last season. No way we activate the clause and he opts to remain. 30 years is not the age of death for footballers, especially not central defenders. Go and see what he is earning for spurs, you think he will come here and be demanding pogba money? Lol. |
There's the problematic right wing and the holes that may open up in attack with lukaku leaving. We already needed midfield reinforcements before the depatures of Fellaini and Herrera Pogba is not nailed on to stay on top of all of this. Midfield is where we need to splash this cash |
Why are we sleeping on 25m Alderweireld?? He and Tuanzebe are enough central defensive reinforcements for me. We need a left back and a right back too, still for that defence and we don't have unlimited funds. 25m alderweireld is a no brainer. |
patrickmuf:umtiti is washed my guy |
Was here |
What a usueless league. Spits |
elampiro:we started with a 352. |
elampiro:until Bailly was taken off and the defensive shape changed. No dey misyarn anyhow. Young was just as bad as Bailly before the change of shape and it was understandable because Bailly is a serial confusionist. He improved a lot after, put in a few vital blocks but still had moments of drunkenness. He had an okay game all things considered.. but for you to come here and call him the best player yesterday is just beyond ridiculous |
hoopLA:if na just rashness we dey deal with, e for even dey manageable. Nigga dey daydream when live action dey go on for pitch. His concentration levels are appalling and this only leads to even more rashness to make up for it. He really can fúck off now. |
Lana1:we are supposed to be bringing a CB in the summer and that should ideally mean we offload 2. Any two of Smalling Jones and Rojo have always been the popular choice but it really should be Rojo and Bailly. He's not young, forget that his fake age so there nothing like he will grow. He wasn't cheap, we should be looking to recoup as much as we can when we can. Smalling, Jones, lindelof, New centre back and Tuanzebe should be enough depth for us at centre back. |

and go into the season with 1 or more of
