Illimitable: I can’t even front, Fred deserves it.
He’s the most hardworking Brazilian in the PL. It’s just that his distribution is useless and that’s on Ole.
Fred shouldn’t be making more than 2-5 yard passes when he wins the ball. Ole should be using him like Mourinho used Makelele.
The task is simple: win the ball and give it to the next available player within a 5 yard radius. No Hollywood passes. his midfield partner is usually McTominay. Lol |

afrodoc2: He is more ready than Shoretire na so if Shoretire was judged ready then he is also ready. Problem is that it has to be in the EPL cos he is not eligible for the B list in Europe. I'm pretty sure Shola was made promises when he first signed AND with his last contract. He was hotly contested when he signed and some clubs were circling before his pro contract. One of the ways to get him to commit would have been to make promises. I think his first team involvement and subsequent debut has more to do with these promises than him being physically ready. There's the obvious talent and the club obviously believe in it as well |

afrodoc2: Under -18s leading 2-0 against Leeds. McNeill with both goals. there's the general idea that only a small percentage of youth players end up making it at big clubs. But there has been a change in the manner with which big clubs approach youth recruitment and development lately, probably motivated by the crazy nature of the market these days. I think that percentage may go up a bit in the coming years. The United academy recruitment has been aggressive, and we do look like we may have a few gems in there. it's difficult to think most of it will end up being for nothing, with very little changing in terms of how many of them make it here. |

Nezzjnr: Greenwood said his Target is to bang in 30 goals this season
I see him hitting double figures though the only thing that will stop him is his lack of status in the club at the moment. He is the one being shunted around for Martial and Rashford to play in their favoured positions The moment this changes, the number of goals this kid will score will stupefy everyone.. . In addition to understandably not having a strong enough standing in the squad yet, he is also the most adaptable of our 3 front.. |

Make we go collect Marcus Edwards. Left footed RW, wicked dribbler, 21 years old English man who was tearing shit up at the liga nos last year. A release clause of 15m means there are not many ways this could go wrong. We will try again for Sancho next year, even with the increased competition. |

Shaw has been fully fit a handful of times in his United career and on those very rare occasions, he looks very decent.
The injury comes, he gains weight, comes back and takes forever to reach full fitness and loses his place in the process and the situation gets worse with him on the bench until he probably injures himself again
It's just a shame that we are likely going another season hoping this year will be different instead of actively taking steps |

Panther7: One quick question who provides width? Certainly can't be Shaw and AWB? first things first, the possibility of a left back coming in was left open in my post. I said wide forward Then again, Shaw just needs to work on his fitness. A lot of times he doesn't make the runs he is supposed to not because he doesn't know what needs to be done, he often doesn't have the lungs for it. AWB just needs more personal coaching. He often doesn't know what to do. His execution while not the best, isn't really bad.. He just looks awkward doing whatever he does and that skews perception a bit. Once he gets the idea right..the rest will be history |

GloryIsaac: The coach has chosen his preferred system.
Why be forced to play differently from what he wants?
If the team plays this way and performs poorly, na still for here dem go crucify the same coach
So far in the league, it’s only United & West Ham that don’t seem to know how to go about the football aspect of their respective clubs.
Maybe this is why Pep chose Manchester City over United, because I know say that man no go get time for okoto yarns So as he hasn't got the players he needs, to make his system work from the board, for whatever reason, he should not adapt his system to suit what he has? Or should he down tools/self sabotage or just walk away I'm not sure what you are saying.. If you are asking me why the board failed in the first place, na only them know for sure and their failings isn't what I'm talking about here |

PietroRick: If we don't bring any other wide forward in this summer, we should just use formations that have no wide men. Our only genuinely wide player is James and he's just not very good.
We have the players to play the system Everton played in the last game, to a higher level
Rashford in the Richarloson role, Bruno for James
Matic pogba vdb for Allan, doucoure and Gomes. Pogba even gets to go back to his favoured LCM spot. He he has been having to oprarate on the RCM lately Greenwood rotates with 4 players in this shape (with a slight reshuffling of Bruno when needed), depending on form, fitness or just to keep everyone fresh. |

I liked what I saw of vdb today. Rash, vdb and Bruno as the attacking Midfield 3 behind Martial should be an option for us.
Bruno is smart enough to operate from the RW without his levels dropping too badly. |

afrodoc2: They are loading the under-18s with attackers so hopefully in about 3 years a couple of them might be ready.
And the scouting has been extensive and top notch too......at least on paper.
McNeil was scoring loads of goals at under-16 level.
Aaroen was highly rated in Norway.
Mejia scored 60 goals last year in Spain and everybody wanted him.
Garnacho is also highly rated from Atletico. very little has been heard of about Mejia since he joined. Injuries? |

afrodoc2: He suffered a bad knee injury 2 years ago that finished him. His game was built on athleticism not intelligence or technique so any loss of physical ability is sure to cause a major drop. The same thing would happen to full backs like Kyle Walker, Alfonso Davies et al, especially if close to 30. there's also all the plenty talk about mental health problems, depression, etc It's unfortunate how quickly things can change with some of these players. Makes you wonder what would happen if we went all out to bring him at that price when mourinho (ironically), was demanding for him. |
