Dayo do you still think the difference between both sides isn't negligible?

Is the difference between Mourinho and pep negligible?

I would rather go with bookmakers that use objective tools to come up with odds than plenty naive gamblers out there.
Then again what is the difference between united and city?

You didn't answer a question.
Is the difference between pep and Mourinho negligible?

To me the difference between both sides isnt negligible, in isolation they might be, but considering the time theyve spent in each team and blended together they are not. A group of players need time to blend.

get 2 equally talented team one that has blended over time and one that is new, then you will know the difference is huge

Just remember this is your position not mine. probably 5 levels below Pep
sky bet for example had city as favorites.
If you browse through various bookies, you will see it alternating between city and United with city probably having the edge.
This lends credence to the fact that the difference between both squads is negligible.

Is the difference between Mourinho and pep negligible too or even less? grin
I had a wrong impression, time for you to correct it

The difference between the squad, man utd has a better squad, I said this before the kickoff last season
grin
This will take us back to the original argument.
And it is not true.
The difference between both sides is negligible.
It can be argued.

Pep on the other hand is better than Mourinho, no argument there.

City has made too many changes and buys recently and it will take them time to settle.

Man Utd in the last 2 seasons bought like 6 players, thats like half the number City bought in the last 2 seasons so its obvious Man utd has the more settled squad
isn't success supposed to have a direct correlation with money spent, ideally.

Since when did spending more money become more of a disadvantage?

You never answer the real question.

The difference between both managers and the difference between both sides which is greater?

Why will the difference between Pep and Mourinho be 5? On the contrary I think you should be the one who rates Pep 5 places below Mourinho he has repeatedly been called a fraud

Of all active coaches aside Ancelotti who has 3 CL, Pep Zidane and Mourinho have 2 CL each.

So if you say Mourinho is 5 levels below Pep, then who are the coaches in between? Seems you people just assign meanings to anything you read irrationally

Before either Pep or Mourinho resumed their jobs I stated clearly that Man Utd has the better squad
lol.
So what realistically is the difference between Pep and Mourinho?
Whatever it is, it is surely greater than the difference between both squads.

The difference in squad favours Man Utd. Mourinho inherited a largely young team and just added a few missing pieces. Guardiola inherited an ageing squad and had to demolish and rebuild it

Both managers are good and will be among the top 5 best managers in Europe currently and in the last decade
Let me clear things up.

Scale of 1 to 10
Where 10 is the difference between Barcelona and Eyimba and 1 is the difference between Roma and Napoli, the difference between both Manchester sides is <1

If we are to go by what you preach on this forum, Pep is at least 5 levels above Mourinho.

Shouldn't the difference in managerial expertise compensate for the negligible difference between both squads?

P.s I actually don't agree that united have the better squad, but no be that one I dey now

I just gave my reasons why I think they are favourites
so being favourite now rests solely on quality of squad available.
Where does coaching input come in?

United and city have very good squads. A lot of people think city's squad is better even, and it is arguable.

What isn't however, is that the difference between both sides is minimal.

Then we have pep who is a revolutionary genius and Mourinho who is a bus parking tactical dinosaur.
Surely the managerial factor should tip the argument to pep's side

Hahahahahahahahaha.... but they always come in here and hardly contribute any meaningful discussions about Nigerian Football... cheesy

All they wanna do is draw swords and defend anything Old-traffordish or Rashfordish or maybe even Trash Mikel as seen in "the invasion" of those European section dollopheads... grin

Look here... if you don't like what we say... then jump and pass aiit... Go cringe in your rooms and threads but don't come here to start blabbing nonsense and derailing this beautiful Super Eagles thread. Enough of the EPL orgasmic reactions from you guys on here... stick to your European flavor aiit... and stay out if you got nothing for Nigerian Football.

Is he better than Mahrez? Is Mahrez not having a torrid time under the same system?

The current system of Leicester City has more to do sith long balls from deep to Vardy. Not counter attacks with making runs with ball. So Rashford will be stranded too. That is why Gray is suffering in the system and he has little chance to make a shot at Rashford.

Put Gray in Manchester United set-up and put Rashford in Leicester City. Let me see you say Rashford is better.

That is why we use the term like handed out to Rashford. It favors him.
Barcelona also handed it over to messi, Iniesta etc too, I guess

It depends on Tammy Abraham. If England wants to cap him and treat him like Agbonlahor, then that is sad. If they have him in mind as a key future of England, no problem with that. If Tammy prefers England and they want to cap him, he can go.

I want what is best for the guy and history shows he will get more respect, love and international success, flying the Nigerian flag. I hope his heart lies with us and we get him. If his heart is not with us, we do not need him.

Gerrit?

No stress. If you/your people see Rashford as the future 9, with Kane also in the picture, then Tammy needs to rethink where his loyalty lies although I feel the nine role in Nigeria is going to get fierce with the likes of Nacho, Osimhen, Success (who I expect to get his groove back), Onyekuru and others fighting for the role. I do not see the nine role in the near future of the Super Eagles a walk in the park.
grin
I'm not an English man

But then again, this was just one commentator in just one match.
Don't you think you might be taking the comment way too seriously.

Lol, not everything is 'us' and 'them'. You can like more than one person at a time.
But that's by the way. By your logic (or lack of it), Kelechi should be starting ahead of Vardy since he is 'deadlier'. But then, it's obviously just stat-padding considering the fact that Pep sold him at a time when he was the 'deadliest' striker, ahead of both Jesus and Aguero.
More hilarious, you people were so anti-Jesus.
it's impossible to have a decent argument with that guy.
Way too emotional
