This is probably as subjective as one's own preference for food or sense of clothing, but if we could pretend to present it in the guise of objectivity and a common general expediency for the overall good of marriage, I will ask what then is the ideal age difference for spousal spacing?

Given the fact that women --the vast majority-- do not wear age with the same grace as men tend to do, it is a fact to be looked at with painful and _naked reality. The bilogical pendulum swings and the physical conditioning of women tend to move even faster that the strokes of the clock of time dictates.


Then perhaps, a ten year difference will balance this out? Or Seven , may be eight. Where the couples blend with time into a uniform exterior. As the man crowds his 50's and the woman nudges nearer 45-ish the uniformity in looks blends into a seamless match.


Modern Educational system has conditioned most couple of same age group as probable marriage suitors. Often the woman ages faster physically, damping the flames of heated passion and animated desires somewhere along the winding path of marriage.

Of course loves is fundamental, but a nice, healthy and smooth body outline ignites the flames of desire and passion that love is rekindled in marriage to a new height.


On the side note, it behoves women should spare some time for physical activities and tone their skin more with exercises than with chemical properties and fast foods with telemundo as dessert.


Nigerian women ,especially, have an abhorrence for physical exercise. There's an unspoken belief that once a woman is secured in the grips of matrimony, her physical outlook takes an ephemeral value. They can't be more wrong. Men still feel reassured that their wives take an extra care to keep fit and in shape for them.

Lemme narrate my own ordeal with them.
On my way home from Mushin where I used to work,I was about climbing the pedestrian bridge at Oshodi when I noticed a man who had been following me walk up to me to say he came from Cameroon to supply to a customer refrigerators,that that was his second time coming to Lagos and he needed me to follow him and direct him to Zenith plaza where the supposed customer is and I would also help him count the money she'd pay him since he isn't used to Nigerian currency after which he would "settle me" with something tangible.
After his story,I hastened my steps. What kept coming to my mind was ritualist,death,rape or it might be true.
I guessed he noticed my pensive mood and came further to convince me by saying that he saw me as a gentle and God-fearing lady who wouldn't cheat him,that he would have gone to one of those Igbo boys to help him out but he didn't trust them.

Abeg I work and I know how difficult it is to get money.
I didn't mind him. So he spew more gibberish and left. No sooner than he left,another funny looking guy came to me and started asking what the guy wanted. I told him and he said he thinks the guy is genuine,so we should go and help him out.

Na so I confuse. I agreed o. I followed suit.
But the spirit of God kept whispering,death,ritual,kidnappers and other bad things".
I don't know how it happened but as soon as we got down the bridge,I went straight into the bus coming my way....

Some mother-in-laws are really good. Mine was. When I gave birth to my first, she came. She bathed her, pressed my body, cooked. And she stayed for a year, taking care of my baby for me. She hardly complain. If I offend her, she'll tell my husband, not even her husband or other children heard any complain about me.

And just 5 days ago, I gave birth to my second. She has been sick for a month, I was praying that God should heal her if only for the sake of my newborn but she passed away 3 days ago. She was a rare gem indeed. I'm not sure I've heard of mother-in-laws being that nice. Hers was different. Almost all my friends had issues with theirs. I don't just know why she had to die now but God knows and I've accepted like that.

It's saddening

Sorry for your loss,may God grant her eternal rest.

It's a 50-50 situation.

I'll become a mother-in-law someday and I don't have any intention of being troublesome to my daughters-in-law.

But then, You don't expect a supposed daughter-in-law who is already of the notion that her husbands mother might turn out to be"wicked", and a mother-in-law who acts not differently to enjoy peace.

I still maintain to love my mother-in-law but if she begins to prove too solid,her son should know how best to handle her.

Why is it that when dogs see some people,they'd bark and even make attempts to attack while they see some people and are cool?

Why do dogs bark and are always trying to scare something away at night? Do they possess supernatural eyes or what's the reason
