PoliticsRe: I Feel Like Crying After Reading This, Even Though It Happened Half Century Ago by pipeliner: 12:26pm On May 31, 2019
Can anyone now understand the pervasive violence that goes on in the north today. The region is completely overtaken by Lucifer.
PoliticsRe: Finally, The 2nd Niger Bridge Is Becoming A Reality - See Live Images From Site by pipeliner: 10:04am On May 31, 2019
One thing I find very painful is why the SE governors allowed the federal government to play politics with this bridge for several years. With the BOT strategy the federal government has done nothing for the Igbo. I am aware gigantic projects are going on in the North and SW with direct government funding. Here the users of the bridge which include Igbo and other Nigerians will pay for it. The SE governors could have done the same and collect the revenue. Lack of foresight from our lazy SE politicians.

SLAP44:
Obi helped Rochas get to power because he taught the man will help the state grow, now he has another chance groom Ihedioha.
Yes I agree. Many believed Imo had a chance with Rochas. During his campaign, Rochas delivered great speeches. It was quite difficult to discern his deceit laden rhetoric. Even today his rhetoric has not changed, just that paying close attention shows they are just empty words and has always been.

If Obi can do it in Anambra, this new governor can also do it in Imo. Even though we know Obi's successes are now completely reversed by Obiano.
PoliticsRe: 9 Things President Buhari Said In His 'special Interview' With NTA by pipeliner: 8:55am On May 28, 2019
From the comments I read here Nigerians don't care anymore. One can see that Nigerians have lost hope. It is quite normal. Even at individual level it is difficult to deal with people who have a constant habit of lying, will never accept their mistakes and have enough connection to stay out of trouble or even defy the law when they have committed glaring offenses.
PhonesRe: Nokia Users, Get In Here!!! by pipeliner: 2:44pm On May 27, 2019
I am about making a decision to purchase a new phone. I want to be careful with my choice anyway. Can someone please explain the difference between possessor speed of Octa-core 1.8 GHz and quad core 2.3GHz? Which between both phones will be faster based on the processor speed? I tend to imagine that the 1.8GHz will be faster. Meanwhile, I currently use HTC M8 and want to purchase a Nokia 7.1. My aim is to get a fast phone at an affordable cost.

98% of the posters did not read or read it without understanding. The post is not about Zik as such. It is satire on the downside of using tribe as a basis for decision making and the "this is my land" syndrome.
CrimeRe: I Didn't Kill My Wife - Ronke Shonde's Husband by pipeliner: 9:26am On May 09, 2016
Men or women often go through difficult marriages. In each case someone or both is at the receiving end. I think way forward to avert crisis is to dissolve the marriage or the couples could agree to separate. In this story I fault this guy because I expect him to have taken a walk and separated from his wife. I am saying this from my personal experience. When I could no longer handle my wife's infidelity I took a walk. Who knows what would have happened if I stayed back to prove that I am the man. My ex is still pleading to this moment but I moved on for good. This is what I expect everyman to do. There can never be an explanation for killing another person because the dead party is not alive to tell her story.

byns: bro, i aint married yet, but my fiancee acts the same way, i left her 3months ago, now she wants to get back, shud i give her another chance or am i foolishly setting myself up for a miserable marriagehuh
My brother I can feel you. But you have to understand that it is very difficult for me to tell you exactly what to do because my circumstance might be different from yours. I had a terrible experience but I thank GOD that I am out today. You just have to consider this step deeply because the lady would be your life partner. If anything goes wrong it might affect you in many negative ways. In my case I became very unforgiving because of the hurt I passed through. But it is getting better today. I felt that I must always get back at her and she same to me and it went on and on. So my advice is that each person should choose a life partner carefully, else you end up having a dilemma each time you kneel to pray because you will remember there is an enemy lying next to you who you must reconcile with and forgive before you own sins must be forgiven. A bad partner can really slow down your spiritual ascent so we need to be careful.

vicoson: My wife says she did me a favour by marrying me, so I should be happy she married me.

We've been married for 3 years with 2 kids. Prior to our marriage we dated for about a year. She even moved in with me when she had accomodation problem for 6 months. During this period I saw hell. She showed me no respect, was playing her games very openly. Her phone rings 24/7, multiple love sms.

When I talk about settling down together, she would say her parents won't agree because my place is far-I'm from Akwa Ibom and she is from Mbaise. Obviously she did not want to marry me but she wouldn't just leave.

She travelled twice to check out some suitors while she was still leaving with me and I got to know from another source. She didn't deny it but said her sister's gave her the connection. One of those guys is an illiterate drug pusher.

Finally things got to a head. I dicovered condoms hidden in her handbag, I had to throw her out of my house. Somehow somehow, we hooked again but this time I only wanted to use her. Not quite long she took in. Although both of us had earlier agreed we won't marry each other, she later claimed she has started loving me but I did not love her anymore.
I went ahead and married her. I even did elaborate wedding. From day one till today, it has always been trouble.

Complaint, complaint, complaint. Nagging, nagging, nagging. She is at the centre of the universe, everybody must worship her, she must be in charge.

Trust me, with this pride I made sure she wields zero power in my house.

Before I forget, I am a Mechanical Engineer, she doesn't have a good O-level.

Yes, my emotions are on vacation, is it my fault?
Your story matches my own personal experience very closely. After several attempts to manage my marriage I gave up and finally left my home 2nd January this year after living with her for 13years. Such people never change. As of today she calls everyday telling me how she has changed and will be a better woman if only I can give her another chance. That last text message I received from her was yesterday. My brother I will advise to to move on with your life before you waste you years tring to manage someone who is not ready to be your wife.

PhonesRe: What are the implications of HSDPA & GSM Frequencies by pipeliner(op): 12:46pm On Dec 10, 2012
Thank to all for contributing. I have benefitted from the discussions. Option 1 remains my choice and I will go for it. Again thanks.
PhonesRe: What are the implications of HSDPA & GSM Frequencies by pipeliner(op): 12:27pm On Dec 09, 2012
domack99: GSM-->GPRS-->EDGE-->WCDM(UMTS)-->HSDPA.

GPRS,EDGE and HSDPA are DATA networks only i.e. they do not support circuit switched voice. GSM supports circuit switched voice and circuit switched data both. UMTS supports circuit switched voice and packet data.
Thanks for your contribution. My understanding from your post is that since I want both data and voice function I should not go for HSDPA Phone (Option 1)above. Thanks.
PhonesWhat are the implications of HSDPA & GSM Frequencies by pipeliner(op):
I need to purchase a phone between the two options listed below but preferably option 1. However I have confusion with what HSDPA and GSM implies. Please can someone explain? Is either of MTN, GLO, ETISALAT, SIM card compatible with the HSDPA? I need to know if communication is possible using the HSDPA phones with either MTN or GLO SIM cards of inserted. The links to further information on both phones is also provided. Many thanks for your contribution.
