Just relax and go do some other things. Perhaps begin review your Visa profile and how to improve it.

im a medical doctor but applying for msc ubc
we dont use cgpa in medicine
i have 7 years of work experience in the field am applying to!
and i have six post secondary qualifications in canada in the field im applying to
Abeg What is my chance of getting admission to ubc?
thanks.
michaelbelgium:

check the admission requirement for the program you are applying to on their website....some programs do not require you getting a supervisor before applying.
i guess language requirement is waived for nigerians(check also for language requirement on the school site).....having GRE is very good but it's not mandatory you have it.
please make sure your CGPA is 4.0 and above....UBC is very competitive.

if it is a research-based masters MAsc then of course you need to, but if it is course-based M.Eng you don't.
You do not need IELTS/TOEFL, UBC recognizes Nigeria as an English-speaking nation.
As for GRE, it is not compulsory but highly recommended for international students, infact one supervisor wrote on his webpage that any student that wants to contact him to be his supervisor must present GRE score, immediately i saw this, i just zeroed all hopes of him being my supervisor.
The hunt continues...

Hello house.
Pls which is better for a medical doctor planning to school in Canada?
8 months diploma which is 14,000 CAD per year or 2 years Msc ?

Which province or school is the cheapest? And allow installments? Above 95percent admission?

Between diploma and masters?which one can earn me job quickly and the ease of getting permanent residence.
??
Thank you.

Hello house.
Does anybody knows any certified notary public in Lagos? Or specifically Lagos mainland?
The phone contact will be well appreciated.
Thank you.
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by platypelloid: 12:52pm On Sep 18, 2016
Chief Ugoiyke,Thank you so much.
Will you advice me to mail my certified international passport using NIPOST?
how long will it take to get there?
How about EMS??how long does it take?
Thank you!!!
ugoiyke79e:

I am not sure this is correct.
you can send either by regular post or courier service. there are different addresses for them. You can as well choose to receive your eca by regular post.
However, d risk is yours. I would rather gamble wit sending by regular post and then paying for d eca to be sent back by courier.....mails take roughly 2weeks.
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by platypelloid: 12:42pm On Sep 18, 2016
Merci @Ugoiyke.
I have explained everything to MCC through my repository account. These people are hell bent on medical degree.which is not yet ready from my school!!
I am thinking of forwarding my statement of result to them if they can accept.as opposed to the previously sent transcript which they claim is not enough!!!
Please what do you think??
ugoiyke79e:

hiyee platypeloi.
I was specifically asked to send my medical diploma. along with d identity forms and others.
A lawyer friend helped me notarize at no cost.
I think you shld send a mail ia your physician apply portal explaining why u cant send d diploma at this time. If your explanation is accepted, d transcript may be used in lieu.
Again, d problem may even be poor documentation or incomplete notarization of all documents sent.....
just engage them via ur feedback msgs.
cheers.
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by platypelloid: 11:17am On Sep 17, 2016
Thank you Chief Esosa.
I spoke with MCC,they said they still need my medical degree diploma to proceed with my svr.
That transcript alone is not enough
Can I send Statement of result to them?will they accept it?thank you.
Also how many months does your SVR took and eca report to be ready from when u start.
Thank you.
esosa4real:

sorry only courier!
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by platypelloid: 7:45pm On Sep 16, 2016
Thank you Chief Esosa.
Please after certifying the international passport, can I send it through e mail to them or it is STRICTLY BY POSTING OR COURIER?? Because this is a double money for me as I sent the first documents expressly thru courier!!!
Thank you.
esosa4real:

wow 15k bro, i think a lawyer would have been cheaper o!! I didnt use lawyer but i know it wont cost more than 10k for everything....

For me, i begged them to do it and gave recharge card. Them suppose run am na! Just beg them that the international passport was part of it, they should just stamp it, write the affirmation note and sign.

if they disagree go to notary.
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by platypelloid: 10:35pm On Sep 15, 2016
THANK you chief Esosa.
I paid 15k to sign certification of identity in my school.
So I have a feeling that they might ask for another 15k to affirm my Intl passport!! That's my fear .please advice me.
When they did your own for you in your school, did they charge you any money?
Thank you sir.
esosa4real:

Bro, just talk to your school to stamp and affirm your copy of international passport, you dont need stressing yourself.
Thats what i did, my school registrar stamped all documents and did the certification identity.
They were all accepted by MCC
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by platypelloid: 10:30pm On Sep 15, 2016
Thanks Bro
They did not write verified.
They wrote incomplete.
I am still on the issue
I saw on their website that transcript can also be used
However my medical degree certificate is yet to be ready.
I create SVR for medical degree instead of transcript
So I want them to do SVR for transcript as opposed to mistakenly clicked medical degree.
That's where wahala is now!!!!
Any further advice will be appreciated.
Thanks.
esosa4real:

I think thry only accept Medical Degree.....but at what stage where you rejected? in the physiciansaply portal/? Did they upload your documents then as verified??
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by platypelloid: 12:35am On Sep 14, 2016
God bless you Sir,@Gymme
You have been of help sir.
I am currently in YABA.
Kindly pm me the address of the notarized lawyer so I can see him personally.
Thank you so much.
Gymme:
Yes sir, a lawyer can do it. It was a lawyer somewhere in Yaba, Lagos that did all the notarization including Intl passport for us. Unfortunately, i only know few Lawyers in some cities but i'm not sure where you are, so i can't suggest any.

But i believe any registered notary public around you can do it.

Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by platypelloid: 3:01pm On Sep 13, 2016
Gymme:
I'm not sure how 'possible' you attached and sent the cover sheet with the official transcript. I also don't know if they accept transcript sent directly from a school. That is probably why they ask for notarized photocopies of documents.

You should probably phone or email them about the rejection.

Thank you sir.
I have emailed them
They seem not reject it.they say its incomplete.
I have the certification of identify done by my school, can a lawyer do my Intl passport notarization? Or I have to go back to my school?
Do you know any lawyer who is a notary public?
Thank you.
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by platypelloid: 9:41am On Sep 11, 2016
Thank you Chief
I have done all these.
Yet they rejected the transcript my school sent to them.
I don't know what they want ooooo
As my final certificate is not yet ready!!
What must I do now?
All the cover sheets went along
My certified identify confirmation signed by provost
I also paid all my due.
Including account opening fee and SVR documentation fee.
Kindly comment pls..

Gymme:
I don't know if you have created an account on www.physiciansapply.ca or not (this is the first step). You need to if you have not. You actually pay a fee to create the account (weird i guess...lol).

Then, you create SVR (Source Verification Request) from your new account which is where you indicate the documents you have and want to send to them, MCC.

They accept PHOTOCOPIES of your documents which must be NOTARIZED. These notarized documents (which typically include data page of your international passport, transcript, certificate/medical degree etc) have to be posted (mailed) to MCC with COVER SHEETS that you will print out from the SVR you created initially. You pay for SVR too (document fee).

After all those steps, they typically do the rest by sending your credentials to ECFMG (whose functions are just like WES).

See full info on getting ECA report for IMGs below:

http://mcc.ca/repository/educational-credential-assessment/

That is basically why they rejected your document.

Hello house
I sent my medical degree transcript to MCC
It was rejected, requesting for medical degree diploma which is not yet ready from my school.
From their website, final medical transcript is accepted which my school sent to them via dhl and I was notified its receipt.of which they rejected.

Pls house what can I do?

Urgent advice needed please.
