Hello house

TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by platypelloid: 9:19pm On Feb 17, 2017
Okay Chief
I thought you mean one does not need to be licensed in Nigeria!!

However how far have you gone with your wifehuh Cos am on the svr of a thing. They are hell bent on providing my degree certificate but my school has been delaying me!!!!
Gymme:
Lol...bros, where is your proof oo?

I did the process for my wife (till she got ECA report) and i can tell you that you DON'T need to be licensed before getting PR. You only need to evaluate your degree through physiciansapply.ca using SVR, then proceed with the other steps.

To get licensed in a province as an IMG, i believe you know that one needs to write atleast MCCEE (depending on the province and the new regulations coming up soon 2018/2019)?

So bro, for this PR thingy, you don't need to write any MCC licensing exam. Just pay the fees at different stages to getting your ECA report from MCC.

Heloo bosd
You mentioned that doctors don't need to be licensed before getting PR?
That is not true. You wouldn't even get across SVR. NOT TO TALK OF SVR.
ugoiyke79e2:

Congrats vcole....
your case has proven that Drs dont necessarily need to be licenced before they can get PR....I recall asking this pertinent question when i first got on this thread...
Esosas PPR loading too....
I encourage those of us who are young medical professionals to go for it especially now.
let us ask questions here and vcole esosa and myself can always help with answers concerning medical ECA..
Congrats once again vcole....u ve been very helpful and patient with questions here..
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by platypelloid: 5:50pm On Feb 17, 2017
Hello house.
Has any medical doctor on this thread successfully got PR?
It seems success of this express entry thing is very very low
I have not seen testimonies of PR on this thread!!
Any body to contribute??

Boss thanks
What's your advice for me now?
Which schools would you recommend with highest chances of securing admission offer??
Thanks.
Osemigho:
If UBC is the only school you apply to, you are yet to apply to schools. They reject sometimes more than 80% of their applicants. Toronto and McGill included. Be guided.
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 11 by platypelloid: 8:26pm On Jan 18, 2017

Dudubery:

TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 11 by platypelloid: 12:14pm On Dec 25, 2016
THANKS DEAR OSEMIGHO
i appreciate your explicit reply on my quests, may god increase you in wisdom.

pls house,i am in dilemma, kindly assist.
my course of interest is offered in SAIT and Western university.
the one in sait is diploma which can be completed in 8 months and it comes with coop.,14k cad tuition

the one in western uni is pgdiploma, 1 year ,no coop but practicum, 7,800k Cad tuition

if i will go for dipl in sait being a polytechnic, wouldnt visa officer refuse? having studied medicine as first degree?
kindly advice pls?

pls which one should i go for and why? thanks.
Osemigho:
Bros, cheap university are UofSaskatchawan, UNBC, MUN, Uvic, etc. Don't bother how cheap if your course is thesis based, most will give you scholarship.

If your program is thesis-based, you probably have the supervisor headache to face. Less problem if you have a very good proposal or SOP. Just attach it to a well drafted email to many potential Supervisors in your proposed field and pray for favour. Remember the part where I said many potential supervisor.

Also, those schools no wan hear say 9ja get international limit. My advise is for us all to mail all schools above 100 USD about the development. The fact that some people are paying by proxy isn't helping those with no option. All my attempt to get a fee waiver was replied that other Nigerian applicants are not complaining about any limit. So, before you pay or someone help you pay, kindly mail your school to inform them of our problem. That way, they will start thinking waiver for others probably after us. Ain't nothing like making things easy for the future. Let's help others coming after us.

By the way, you can't allow the fee discourage you. I know how you are feeling and will assure you that you are not alone.

You can start to put your profile together by reading the requirements and packaging requirements. Trust me, you don't want to wait till when admission is out cos that will be rush and panic except you have pro help.

All the best bro. It will end in praises.

I be learner not expert. So watch my advises before doing them. Shalom!

Decisions are likely made weeks/month(s) after deadline, Especially if it is funded program.

Just relax and go do some other things. Perhaps begin review your Visa profile and how to improve it.

Hope you applied to other schools too. Shalom!

im a medical doctor but applying for msc ubc
we dont use cgpa in medicine
i have 7 years of work experience in the field am applying to!
and i have six post secondary qualifications in canada in the field im applying to
Abeg What is my chance of getting admission to ubc?
thanks.
michaelbelgium:
check the admission requirement for the program you are applying to on their website....some programs do not require you getting a supervisor before applying.
i guess language requirement is waived for nigerians(check also for language requirement on the school site).....having GRE is very good but it's not mandatory you have it.
please make sure your CGPA is 4.0 and above....UBC is very competitive.

Riddeek:
if it is a research-based masters MAsc then of course you need to, but if it is course-based M.Eng you don't.
You do not need IELTS/TOEFL, UBC recognizes Nigeria as an English-speaking nation.
As for GRE, it is not compulsory but highly recommended for international students, infact one supervisor wrote on his webpage that any student that wants to contact him to be his supervisor must present GRE score, immediately i saw this, i just zeroed all hopes of him being my supervisor.
The hunt continues...

The phone contact will be well appreciated.
Thank you.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by platypelloid: 12:52pm On Sep 18, 2016
Chief Ugoiyke,Thank you so much.
Will you advice me to mail my certified international passport using NIPOST?
how long will it take to get there?
How about EMS??how long does it take?
Thank you!!!
ugoiyke79e:
I am not sure this is correct.
you can send either by regular post or courier service. there are different addresses for them. You can as well choose to receive your eca by regular post.
However, d risk is yours. I would rather gamble wit sending by regular post and then paying for d eca to be sent back by courier.....mails take roughly 2weeks.
