Ibadan circular road (a single road that passes the whole of Ibadan) was started by akala (PDP), he was voted out and replaced by ajimobi (APC) and he continued it...he even named some parts after akala and Ladoja (both were in opposition parties and even contested against him)...now seyi (PDP) is the current governor and work is still going on
