Really foolish of him
EkunKekere:
Ebiye was already an ugly piece of human excrement to begin with, no thanks to his genetics. The black paint actually made him a bit less repulsive.

Literature / Re: Excuse For The Uninvolved by plice01: 2:40pm On Jan 25, 2019
Akukom:
So let’s just cut the bullshit

It’s all my fault

I’m the reason you’re uninvolved

I shouldn’t have text

I shouldn’t have called

Bugging, annoying you up the wall.

Maybe I’m the reason you went away

I should’ve begged for you to stay

I did too much, and left you no space

Lord have mercy, I even prayed

Your problems are much bigger than mine

I know now that you require more time

When I told you to do better, I crossed the line

I should’ve been arrested for my crime

I shouldn’t have asked for you to try

It probably pushed you away to hear me cry

You failed to show, and I asked you why

My bad for expecting a reply

See, I’ve realized that some people need a break before they start labor

I ask for too much, I’m the worst kind of neighbor

I should’ve just shut the Bleep up while you chased the paper

But I was always impatient, never a waiter

When you took from us, I shouldn’t have questioned you

Now I’ve blocked my blessings by rushing you

All of the days I spent cursing you,

If I were to relapse now, it’d be nothing new (I did)

I’m the bad parent, I’m the one to blame

I projected my flaws unto you to ruin your name

It’s ridiculous, I know, it’s insane,

Now I get why you questioned the state of my brain

I’m in the hospital, day 3, writing this

The princess is sleep, complete silence

I asked you to come, I should just stop trying it

I hope you can forgive me, these habits don’t die quick

This is a poem for my baby’s father

Another attempt to get you to try harder

That’s all I know, huh? I’m such a bother

Like I have to want the best for our daughter

Literature / Re: Maggie by plice01: 2:39pm On Jan 25, 2019
Akukom:
I knew something was wrong when she almost burnt our apartment for the third time in a row after forgetting that she had been cooking. My Maggie had never been forgetful but i knew the signs. Our grandmother had suffered from dementia before she died and it was inconceivable that my Maggie would suffer from the same thing. I ignored it. My mantra was “if I refuse to acknowledge it, then it doesn’t exist”.
Our dad kicked us out the day we both graduated from university. He couldn’t bear the shame of people finding out what was going on with his twin “Daughters of Jezebel” as he called us.
We didn’t care, we had each other. Neither of us had ever been interested in another person but us. It had always been Maggie for me. My Maggie. My Margaret.
My Maggie was smart so she knew what was going on too. She had to resign from her job because she kept forgetting things. I refused to have her checked into an institution. I would be with my Maggie until the very end, even on the days wen she didn’t know who I was or where she was, I would always be there to remind her about our love and how much I loved her. She was my world.
I didn’t realise that Maggie, not used to being taken care of, was sinking into depression as she started to rely on me more because she kept forgetting the simplest things, even how to drive a car. So it came as a shock to me that day when i got home and found her body swinging back and forth from the mango tree we loved to sit under in front of the apartment building. Before she could allow herself to become totally helpless, my Maggie ended it, Maggie ended me.

Literature / Re: On Pain And Enduring by plice01: 10:24am On Jan 09, 2019
Akukom:
So I got a perspective today on pain and the capacity to endure it. This illumination came when I jammed my finger on the door to my boss’s office. I was walking into the office and as a true professional, I closed the door behind me without turning around(they tell us these things in interview tips….lol). That was when I felt the pain on my thumb. Those of you that have experienced this can relate right now and some might even recollect the pain( I know cos I can recollect while typing this).

As a typical Nigerian ‘aje butter’ girl, I said “ouch” and shook my whole hand. The normal ‘eyah sorry’ and ‘take care of you’ followed, but since I was not dead, the meeting I went in for has to happen abi?

Anyway, I noticed that during the meeting even though I was in pain, I was not worried. Then ‘the illumination’! I was not worried because I knew the intensity of the pain will gradually reduce and that by end of the day, I would not feel this pain as strongly as I felt it now and that it will be gone by the next day.

This got me thinking, what if we knew how the other pains in our life will pan out? What if we knew that the pains we feel in our lives (emotional, physical, mental, financial etc) will go eventually and that we will be free? Will that make us more capable of enduring it?

I think it will.

So I got to wondering, how do we access this confidence that the pain will go eventually? I could only come up with two ways……..believing in God’s promises to us and seeing examples of others who went through the same or similar.. Continue:https://akukom.com/on-pain-and-enduring/

Kiss me there, my neck, please, I said to him as I shook with ecstasy and excitement

Tease me papi, touch me, I want you, please

He stares at me with a smirk playing on his lips as I plead trying to take his hands all over my body

I want you,I mouthed as he raises my face unto his and kisses me

I moan into his mouth as his tongue play with mine

He smiles as he stares at me needing him.

You’re so soft he says, I blush. I know you haven’t done this before, are you sure you want to now?

I let my hands roam his body as a response to his question

I touch him in his most sensitive place and he moans into my hands

Please, I say, his countenance changes as I say this, I see the hunger in his eyes

He turns me around and spanks me

Damn, I want you I say, he kisses and kneads my ass cheeks and then spanks me again

I moan into the dresser, I don’t remember how many times he repeated that action as I moan in ecstasy

Then he parted my pussy lips, his eyes asking me and my eyes saying yes

He plunges into me as our eyes meet, and kisses my moans and pain away.

My body quivers as he starts to move inside of me, my walls stretching for the first time.

He brings himself out of me and teases my clit with his head, I couldn’t but moan out his name as the sweet sensation erupts through my body.

He holds me firm on my waist and plunges into me again, this time harder, making me scream out his name, then he starts moving slowly

Look at me, he says, do you like it baby, he asks

All I could do was nod as he moved inside of me

Please have me, I say, have all of me, he says call me papi

I mouthed something like that and he moved faster, like I unleashed something in him..

THE NIGERIAN LIFE: DIARY OF A YOUNG SCHOOL LEAVER.

It’s Monday morning, I donned on my best cloth and pray Baba God to please bless my hustle today. As I make my way to Oshodi, my stomach groan to remind me I have not had anything to eat since 5pm yesterday, well I am only feeding my focus, which right now is getting to the companies and dropping these documents. The morning seems perfect, no black cat crossed my path, traffic is light, the conductor was gentle, nothing could go wrong.
At Oshodi, I held on to my bag tightly as I joined the growing crowds of early risers heading for their various businesses and workplace, which also include pick-pocketing I could be rushed and an item in my bag could go missing, and it could be the new infinix phone you bought to join social media perhaps my employer would be on the timeline or the #500 transport back home or the #200 you have for gala and Pepsi. My livelihood depends on this one bag.
With the nicest smile I approach the first company and a grumpy security man –possibly from still covering up for his latecomer colleague, his breath stinks- answers me and ask what I want, boldly I request to see HR and I am asked the almighty question you ‘ Do you have an appointment?’, I reply No sir, ‘Do you know someone?’ I are tempted to say God but the look on the man’s face tells a thousand tale of which laughter isn’t one. I shake my head meekly hoping for sympathy and the man tells you drop my envelope there, there where it’s never going to pass but I hope it does, I hope it doesn’t belong to the woman selling puff-puff by the corner.
I try 5 more companies and never have I had a déjà vu feeling this strong. Mopping my brows with an hanky which looks forward to its RIP days, I then remember the professor that made my life a living hell, the nights classes I went, the mosquitoes that bit me, every tiny detail that made school hellish crossed my mind at that very moment, I felt cursed, what did I do to deserve this, my dying off is better than these abject poverty I find myself in.
With this frustration I make my way home – home to six boys, the other five pay the rent I am the pitied, picked-up-from-gutter squatter- as I walk along an ongoing road construction, so does a trailer which clothes me with dust talk about adding salt and pepper to an injury.
I made an attempt to dust myself, but decided against it, was going home anyways, nobody cared and loved me, so why not save energy.
In the bus I take a seat at the rear end close to the window, traffic as accumulated so as my ignored hunger pangs, the tanker beside the bus, heaving seriously as though it has asthma, before I could blink, it let out a puff of smoke directly on my face, well this was the steam needed to cook my frustration.
The ocean looked so beautiful, the water to which I contorted my face with disgust, now looks like Nirvana to me. As I decide what style and manner I want to approach the end of my sorrow and maybe the beginning of my bliss –death-, choosing between the dive or thunderbolt was never this hard during my swimming days. While wondering which style will have the most impact, I hear the conductor call out, ‘‘Last bus stop, everyone out’’.
There goes my Shiloh, grudgingly I alight..

Thank you for knowing all of my past but you still decided to stick with me. Many think i’m lucky, but i rather say i am blessed.

After all you heard about me and all in all my imperfections, you still here and all will be, Thank you.

For the 2 wonderful girls you gave me, these are the best gifts i ever got, Words are Just not enough.

Thanks for not being jealous of my girls, understanding that i am more of a father than a husband, but who says you are not my daughter too?

Love hasn’t treated me right, I was damaged but for you i am healed and i will always love you like no other.

Marriage can be a whole lot of work, but you have made it the best time of my life by being a good wife, i say Thank you.

You are one reason i want to wake up every morning. Your smile when you say Good morning is everything i need to start the day.

The man is the head of the family, but what can a head do without a good neck. Thank you for knowing that you decide the mood of the home, and you make good decisions about that.

As carefree as i can be about money, you keep tabs on our accounts, you definitely the best manager life has to offer.

Whenever i see what my kids are growing into, i marvel at what you are making them into. They don’t deserve a better mum.

The love you have for my brothers is over whelming. Thank you for understanding how much they mean to me and you respect that. You do your very best to keep my extended family intact, thank you.

Even their wives love you like a mum because you always there for them.

Mum and dad tell me how often you call yo check on them and even though its our money, they appreciate the gifts you buy for them. I appreciate that you take time out to do all these for my family.

Thanks for understanding that i cannot make every family holiday but you make it sacrosanct for the love of the girls.

Please avoid spanking the girls when im around, you know i cannot take it one bit.

When we argue and i apologize immediately, Queen, this doesn’t make me guilty, i just prefer that we live in one accord than argue over anything at all. Understanding that apologizing to me when you are wrong doesn’t make you a lesser person is one trait i always envy about you.

I have forgiven all my Exes as much as you have forgiven yours, and we wont be talking about them, and even when we do, its just jokes and bants.

Thanks for understanding that your Iphone is a Wephone, and my small Nokia phone cannot be passworded, so i appreciate that you pick my every call whenever i m not close.

I know you appreciate that i never go out, but i thank you for always taking my girls shopping and to the cinemas, also when i decide to bring the part home with my friends, thanks for always being the best host ever.

I also appreciate that you never stay out late the few times you hang out with your friends.

The way you look at me when i cook warm my heart. The way you talk about the meals i prepare when i do is always captivating but learn to agree that i am a better cook.

Thank you for liking my friends and more especially my day One goons, what would i have done if you did not. Whenever i watch you and their wives gist and argue, i feel glad that you are helping to keep the relationship we always kept.

Music/Radio / Re: Ybnl Mafia Album Review by plice01: 11:44am On Dec 22, 2018
Akukom:
If there is one thing Olamide is famous for asides hit tracks and consecutive yearly albums, it will be taking young talent acts from rags to riches, from being promising to becoming superstars, Adekunle Gold and Lil Kesh are obvious witnesses to this.
This time, he took it a step further when he signed not one or two artistes. In a calendar year YBNL has Limerick, Lyta, Temmy Ovwasa, Picazzo, Yomi Blaze and Fireboy under her umbrella. Many wondered how he was going to manage this number of acts giving that YBNL is not the only label in Nigeria, more so there are a lot of other promising acts signed or independent, but you can tell that Olamide was ready from the onset especially with this YBNL Mafia album. If you ask me, i would say it is long over due as one should have beenmade in the days when Lil Kesh, Adekunle and Viktoh were under the label, but trust the never say never guy to know best.
Now we have the album, let us enjoy it.
Olamide sure knows how to arrange a body of work. Now used to his style of releasing good materials without too much prior notice, (an idea which has always worked for him), he has giving us the YBNL MAFIA album, a conglomerate of different young talents. Permit me to say that this album did not fall before par. It is one that has all the Olamide hit album ingredient and more. The new boys and young lady brought a different kind of energy into this. One would have thought that a body of work from these very promising acts would be haphazard, but every song on the YBNL MAFIA album was precise.Let us go one after the other about the tracks.

WELCOME ft. Olamide
From the title, this 3:55 minutes track is just perfect for the introduction to the album. Pheelz Mr Producer comes through as usual with a kind of old school hip hop touch to accommodate Olamide’s rap. You always know what to expect from the Olamide, Pheelz synergy. They always come through. Welcome is one song that come up in your car and you nodding your head all the way. It gives a good picture of what to expect from the album. You listen to welcome off this album, you want to go all the way.
OKE SUNA ft.OLAMIDE
This is one Olamide song you get on every album. A good follow up to the introductory welcome. The bounce, the progression, the lyrics, Olamide’s album will never be complete without a song like this. He glorifies the woman’s body on this song. I like this 3:23 minutes track, although anxiety might make you want to skip to the next track. Dance floors and wedding performances will enjoy this song very much. I advise you listen till the last second. Another good one done by the mystro alone. You already know what a fusion of Pheelz and Baddo can give.

MACARONI ft. Picazzo, Olamide

Although Olamide will not be looking to relinquish the throne anytime soon, this young man Picazzo indeed got eyes on that throne. Picazzo took Nigeria social media by storm a while back after his freestyle videos were posted by PR gurus Tunde Ednut and Bizzle of The plug. Picazzo sold himself with his freestyles earning him a seat at the YBNL table. From the very first second which introduced Pheelz as Mr Producer, you can tell the song is a hit. Picazzo is not taking any chances. His bounce and progression is owned by him. His use of words and sound is fantastic. He also has a thing for word play. You probably need a second listen to have a good understanding of his comic relief. Then again, HIS SPEED. DAMN!
Olamide chose the right song to jump on. After letting the young man Picazzo enjoyhimself on the beat, he came through to show who the boss really is. Take nothing away from Pheelz’s production and the magic he put towards the end with the telephone autotune. Pheelz is indeed Mr Producer.

MOTIGBANA ft. Olamide

Nothing need to be said about a song that stormed the airwaves for many months. Let me remind you what you already know, Motigbana is a good contender for song of the year. Now to telling you what you don’t know.

JEALOUS ft. FIRE BOY

I have listened to songs by Fireboy formerly known as DML for quite a long time and i knew all he ever needed was a platform to be heard. I am glad YBNL is giving him that. Boy is super talented. I am glad he was allowed to enjoy the beat all by himself. Sometimes i think Fireboy makes a song so perfect you don’t need anyone else on it. This 3:37 minutes track should be playing on every radio station in Nigeria and beyond. This is a very good song. I still hold the thought that the best is still not heard from the young talented Fireboy. The flow from the conventional pop to the igbo vibe still get me. This song should be playing in every bar. You just shake body after a few bottles of beer. Kudos Fire Boy.
IKA ft. Yomi Blaze, Olamide
Yes, Yomi Blaze is wicked! I like this song. He went in hard. He has shown that if given the chance and audience, he is another rapper to look forward to. Yomi Blaze gives us the Olamide from Rapsodi. This is just hip hop.Flow with ease, beat wickedly murdered. The verses and chorus are well coordinated. Produced by Pheelz or not, you can hear his influence on the entire song. He always knows what to do with pure rap songs especially the olamidesque rap. After Yomi Blaze, Olamide comes again to bless the beat. Don’t you just love the way he shows who the boss is? This is 3:12 mins of good rap music.

SEND HER MONEY ft. Dj Enimoney, Lk Kuddy, Kizz Daniel, Olamide, kranium

On behalf of summertime party people, I say a big thank you to Olamide for the inclusion of this track on this album. One song if well harnessed will cut across the globe. The inclusion of the underrated Lk Kuddy’s melody, Kizz Daniel’s everything and Kranium’s presence makes the song a good sell to cut across the world. As far as good music goes, this is one of them. Production, progression, melody, LIT. I am sure Dj Enimoney will enjoy playing this song at every event.
I’LL BE FINE ft. Fireboy
It will be very difficult to have another person on a Fireboy song. He makes every song his. To be on a song with him, you must be bringing something different to the table. Fireboy will go down as probably the revelation of the end of 2018.This song is one for the hustlers. I feel like he sang his soul on this one. Thinking about where he is coming from and where he is right now, i can feel some pain in this song. This song should be on every music device in the world. Pheelz sure always know whatto do. This is a song beautifully made. The lyrics is one everyone should listen to. Fireboy made the 3:17 minutes spent listening to this song one well spent. Pheelz added violin to this one and you will just want to be in his brains. How does he come up with these things. All the pain of yesterday, sure Fireboy will forget them tomorrow.
POVERTY DIE ft. OlamideOlamide sure knows what to release in December. This is the kind of December song you would have expected with Phyno, but with or without him, this dropped and became an instant hit. Olamide showed in 3:10 minutes that there will never be a December he will not be doing many shows. Poverty Die? Amen.

FIRE DOWN ft. FireBoy, Picazzo

I am finding the right words to describe this young talented Fireboy, i will let his fans be the judge of that. Boy is too good you never know what he will sound like next. I am sure this would not be one of those freestyles for Picazzo, he must have taken his time to carefullylisten to the magic made by Fireboy before he jumped on it. Fire Boy made the song almost perfect you will say why add another person, but the young beast Picazzo came through. He did what Olamide would have done if he was on the track. He is learning well from his CEO and you just cannot ask why he was featured on this one. Good chemistry they have on this one.
LE LE YI ft. Lil Kesh, Fire BoyTake this off the album and you can easily title it No bad song. I don’t speak on behalf of everyone, but i think people are tired of the cliche Lil Kesh rap. Glory to God for the inclusion of Fire Boy on the track, made the 3:05 minutes spent listening to it worth it. I for one think it is high time Lil Kesh switched his music style. Love Story, Rora are a few of the best Lil Kesh we have had in a while. It is that time to step it up. That sound is gone.

LIE ft. Limerick, Olamide

He also has a thing for word play. You probably need a second listen to have a good understanding of his comic relief. Then again, HIS SPEED. DAMN!

“I need to use the rest room” he said, whispering to the 8th bottle of beer which was half empty. He went inside the hotel’s rest room to urinate and on entering the toilet, he saw the reflection of himself on the mirror and shouted to his own image…”Oh, sorry I badged into your privacy, I never noticed somebody was using this room when I opened the door”. So he shut the door, without easing himself he walked back to the 8th bottle of bear and said to it with a warm smile “Dear Friend I’m sure you missed me for a while”. He then emptied it in his mouth and decided to go home.

After drinking, Mr Martins got up and started searching for his phone all around which he was actually holding in his own hand. He puts on the phones’ torch light (the one he is looking for) to enable him look for the phone on top of the table filled with empty bottles of beer he took. Along the line, the same phone rang, it was his own wife…he picked up and answered “Darling please call me back, I’m looking for my phone, I will be home soon as soon I find my missing phone”.

He then walked to car garrage, entered his car and drove off, on getting to the major road, he saw “Dangote’s trailer” that has been there..

Celebrities / Grammy Awards List Out... So Many Black Artistes Nominated by plice01: 4:46pm On Nov 28, 2017

So the long awaited Grammy awards nomination list is out!! Ghen GHEN GHEN!!

Okay, let's give you the full gist.

The Story

Nominations for the 60th Annual Grammy Awards were announced Tuesday on "CBS This Morning."

Singer Andra Day revealed the nominations in four categories: record of the year, song of the year (which goes to the writers), best new artist and album of the year.

The Latin single "Despacito" keeps its winning streaking alive by snagging nominations for both song of the year and record of the year.

Rapper Jay-Z scored nominations in those two categories as well as album of the year for "4:44."

Joining "Despacito" and "4:44" as song of the year nominees were "Issues," "1-800-273-8255," and "That's What I Like."

In addition to "4:44," "Awaken, My Love!" by Childish Gambino, "DAMN" by Kendrick Lamar, "Melodrama" by Lorde and "24K Magic" by Bruno Mars were nominated for best studio Albums of the year.

In the record of the year category, "Redbone" by Childish Gambino, "Humble" by Kendrick Lamar and "24K Magic" by Bruno Mars joined "Despacito" by Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee, featuring Justin Bieber and "The Story Of O.J." by Jay-Z.

Best new artist nominees are Alessia Cara, Khalid, Lil Uzi Vert, Julia Michaels and SZA.

There were a few surprises snubs. Wildly popular singer Ed Sheeran was shut out of the major categories. He was nominated for best pop solo performance for "Shape of You" and "Divide" nabbed a nomination for best pop vocal album.

The major categories were dominated by artists of color -- bucking the trend in Hollywood, which has often been criticized for its lack of diversity in award nominees.

Freshman rapper Cardi B dethroned Taylor Swift this year for the number one spot on the charts with her hit "Bodack Yellow" and has now also scored her first Grammy nod for best rap performance and best rap song.

In the former category, the rapper is competing against her new fiancé, rapper Offset, whose group Migos is also nominated for their hit, "Bad And Boujee" featuring best new artist nominee Lil Uzi Vert.

Business / Fire Outbreak Destroys 50 Shops In CALABAR by plice01: 2:18pm On Nov 28, 2017

News Coming to 24buzzng now is that there was huge fire outbreak in Watt Market, Calabar, Cross River state.

The Story

Cross River State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) has confirmed the destruction of over 50 shops after Monday’s fire incident at the Yoruba section of Watt market in Calabar.

Mr John Inaku, SEMA Director General, who disclosed this after an assessment visit to the area on Tuesday, said the cause of the fire was still unknown.

“Up till now, the cause of the fire is still unknown; over 50 shops were affected during the tragic incident.

“I am here on the directives of the State Government to ascertain the cause of the outbreak and to report back so that something can be done to alleviate the plights of the victims.

“If you take a critical look at the shops, they are closely located. This makes it easy for the fire to spread quickly from one shop to another.

“My advice to shop owners is that they should always put off their appliances after close of business; this would go a long way to prevent disasters like this,” he said.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the fire affected mostly electrical, provision, jewellery and book shops in the market.
NAN further reports that no casualty was recorded because of the outbreak.

Goods worth millions of naira were also destroyed in April when the Sokoto old market was gutted by fire

Education / Interesting Facts About Pythons You May Not Know by plice01: 7:08am On Nov 25, 2017
Everyone is Familiar with what a Python is.

Pythons are one of the largest snakes.

OMG! What am I doing?? talking about snakes?

Snakes scare the living daylight out of me but that doesn’t mean I shouldn’t read up and educate you guys.

Anyways moving on, unlike many other snake species, Pythons don’t produce venom – they are non-venomous snakes. They live in the tropical areas of Africa and Asia. They can be found in rainforests, savannas and deserts.
A lot of people keep them as pets but they don’t attack humans, unless they are provoked or stressed.

Below are some interesting Python Facts:

Pythons are constrictors which means they’re not venomous and they kill their prey by squeezing them until they stop breathing.
After they kill an animal, they will swallow it in one piece.
Everything except fur and feathers will be digested. Undigested material can be found in the python’s poop.
Size of the prey determines the time needed for digestion. Bigger prey can keep the snake satiated for weeks or months. Pythons eat 4-5 times per year.
They eat wild animals such as monkeys, antelopes, caimans…
They also attack their prey from the ambush and are well camouflaged and hidden usually in the trees.
Although they are mainly located on the ground or in the trees, pythons are excellent swimmers.
Colors of the python’s skin are usually similar to the colors of its habitat. Snakes blend easily with their environment.
People kill pythons because of their beautiful skin that is used in fashion industry.
They have heat-sensing organs which help them locate the prey.
Female lays 12-36 eggs. She protects eggs and keeps them warm by coiling her body around them. When babies hatch, mother leaves the nest. Young snakes need to look after themselves from the first day.
Pythons are cold-blooded animals, but they can increase their body temperature through sunbathing.
One of the longest known python species is Reticulated Python which can reach 30 feet in length. Most snakes weigh between 260-300 pounds.
