DavidDylan: Funny that so many people who don't live in the US are so hot and bothered about Obama. Perhaps you can all start by effecting change in Abuja first . . .
That you don't believe in Obama is your own opinion, that i think you're just being a blind follower of conservative American fear-mongering is also an opinion i am firmly entitled to.
I wonder why you are carrying all this on your head
Did i post in your space?
- I wonder why you are carrying Obama's presidency on your head . . . you don't live here . . . don't bother being afraid. The white racists here are no worst than those in Europe. - Did Obama win the Nigerian election? Leave him alone . . . thank you. It's not every garbage people write that's worth responding to I was speaking with someone in Nigeria and she asked me how Obama's victory will affect Nigeria, why should we celebrate she added and I was frozen and couldn't speak. Let them deal with the Yoruba/Igbo/Hausa/everyone else and the Christian/Muslim /everyone tensions over there and leave Obama alone. He 's not the one that'll overhaul NEPA or make water flow from their faucets. |

ajayi1: Well, WHat i can say is that 97% American are happy that Obama WON. The Only painful thing is that Obama doesn't have Dad and Mum that can see the success of Obama. 97% of minorities maybe The white people in my area are still walking about with sad faces We need to keep praying for the man The older and Southern whites are not at all thrilled, even some younger ones but God will take care of them if they plan anything evil against him. |

by Toshmann this new polls show one thing,
obama has lost. McCain will respore a responsible republican leadership and americans will trust republicans again. it will take another I6-20 years for democrats to smell the white house again. they can win the congress, govs etc, not president |

by noetic I still place my bet on hillary, for the reasons I have primordially stated.
whether the winner is determined by the primaries, or super-delegates, its still HILLARY ALL D WAY TO D WHITE HOUSE. |

by deepzone AKA peperspray America is in turmoil now and we need the maverick to fix things coupled with his VP that is more experienced than Obama. . You guys shouldn't take this personal but shame on any woman that refuse to support that ticket because it shows that the evil perpetuated by men all these while are not yet enough for you to condemn them. Women are the salt of the earth while men are the scum. |

j-girl As much I want Obama to win, I don't think it's going to happen. From what I heard - People keep voting him in so that if he wins the primaries, there won't be much competition against the republicans. I don't want to believe this, but by the time the primaries are over, you will see what the republicans will do to him. They will shred him into pieces.
@ the sticker thing, that would be very sad |

by Negro Nts With the burden of Bush strapped on his back, we expect that. What we don't expect is a candidate that doesn't have any weight strapped to his back but yet in a survey of 2,772 people he led the other guy by only 221 favorable responses. That's a dismal performance! Yeah McCain stinks, Obama is worse!
I don't blame Obama. He is a rookie and this is what rookies do untill they get their footing right. I blame Howard Dean. That stupid, weak willed sob must be fired. Fire the punk and put Hillary as head of DNC so somebody can take this fight to RNC. Before September is over you all will be begging Hillary to be your Presidential nominee. Democrats are doomed, thanks to Howard Dean.
Democrats get your scorecards out, let's compare numbers. Bring it on! |

by Panache in January Sentiments aside, the thing working for Obama is that he's a good speaker and colored. As an independent, I see Obama as a trick by the white majority to prevent the GOP candidiate from a serious contest. It is part of the grand plan to send Hillary packing, so that the Republican can slide to the White House. |

EVERYBODY WRITE THIS DOWN.
OBAMA WILL NOT WIN THE PRIMARIES LET ALONE THE ELECTIONS ITSELF. WE ARE NO DUMMIES, AMERICANS KNOW THE WAY THEY DO THEIR THINGS.
CELAN AND SEAMLESS RIGGING WITHOUT SUSPICION OR TRACE. NOTE THIS!
SO, DON'T EXPECT ANY MIRACLE THAT OBAMA WILL WIN
HILARY WILL WIN THE PRIMARIES AND LOSS OUT IN THE ELECTIONS THIS NOVEMBER!!! by aussie |

by Loyika Jan 08 Obama! Obama! Obama!!
First things first, Obama has no chance of picking the them ticket, As adventorous as the American voters like to portray themselves, when it comes to the crunch, they go back to their conservative nature, case in point Kerry vs GWB.
The them caucus will have to ask themselves, "Who has a better chance of getting into the White house"
A Black man, who is not even accepted by the African American community.
Is very much inexperienced when it comes to foreign affair issues.
Charismatic, but has no substance.
Bases his policy on the mantra of change (Didn't Kerry base his campaign on the same thing ).
Clinton might not be loved to the extent she thinks, but she has been there and done that (As the First Lady who held much clout in the White House).
She has the full Clinton Policy team behind her, and they will turn things round in her favour as the vote/race progressses.
She has the money to compete with any Republican, and can muster the necessary support, with the help of her husband.
However i doubt she will be the next President of the United States.
W.A.S.Ps don't vote Blacks and Women for President (JFK was an exception to this, with him being Catholic, but if you know the real story, Kennedy senior had to start from scratch to put his kids in a position which enabled them get into power, and eventually, look how it ended, with him being Killed by the Southern establishment).
As for the Rep, the race is between McCain and Huckabee (Rommey is a mormon, and evangelicals will never support a mormon, no matter how nuetral he is).
Naturally, Dems would not mind Mccain, as he basically swings in the center of American politics, however most republicans don't like/trust him. He only gets much respect cause of his war record, thats about it frankly.
He doesn't move the christians as he is quite liberal in his views for their liking, and also has this percieved love in with the dems, which rubs most Neo-Cons the wrong way (Folks like Rush Lim and basically the whole Fox network will have a field day panning McCain).
Huckabee will probably get the Rep vote, based on his conservative stance (Like Obama, most folks don't really know what he stands for).
I believe when they go to North/South Carolina and other southern states, the Evangelicals will kick in, and influence who picks the ticket.
Make no mistake about it, Dems hold the Congress, only because of the nonchalant nature of the evangelicals during the mid term elections, due to the scandals that began to creep into the Rep ranks. But when push comes to shove, If they see Hilary Clinton as the them choice, they will come out in numbers to vote republican.
No one riles the conservatives like Hilary Cinton does, THEY LOVE TO HATE HER!!
The campaign will be harsh and bitter, if Hilary picks the ticket, will not be that harsh if Obama picks it, but they will kill him on the inexperience issue, and work on the African Americans to alienate him.
and like i said, W.A.S.Ps don't vote blacks (I doubt other minorities like the Hispanics and Asians will vote for Obama as well). |
