Nigerian media are finally bold enough to mention the name "FULANI HERDSMEN" in their reports whenever they commit crime embarassed. They tried to twist the narrative during Buhari's unfortunate administration, instead of "fulani herdmens", they will say "herdmens or unknown men", as if there are "Edo or urhobo herdmens" angry sad. What I expect now is for the good fulanis to team up, identify and hand over the bad eggs among them to the authorities, a time will come in Nigeria, when even the good fulanis will be paying for the crime of the bad ones if the necessary steps are not taken now embarassed
There is No good Fulani in Nigeria..

Food / Re: Are some retailers deliberately hiking prices? Whats happening In Nigeria? by poiZon: 7:51pm On Feb 29
RepoMan007:
That's what happens when a trade is oversaturated. Instead of 100 mega stores selling groceries, 1000 road side stalls are, and everyone wants to make enough to cover their needs. They have to hike prices of goods they sell.
The reasonable thing will be for some of the hands doing retailing to move closer to the wholesale and production part of the whole product life cycle.

Instead of risking going into farming and start making reasonable amount of money, they form a union, regulate prices and continue with their lives. The end users suffer the cost.
It isn't the retailer that hike these stuffs,na the distributor...
Distributor is the middle man, they get it from manufacturers, sell it to dealers or wholesalers...
U don't blame the retailers cos their profit margin is inconsequential...

Some people are just mischievous by nature.

Why will you compare cost of goods and not compare people's earning. This is the same mistake that all these World Bank and IMF are currently doing.

Also, are these countries oil producing countries like Nigeria? At what quantity if yes? Don't they have enough electricity that reduce dependency on fuel for power generation?

Business / Re: CBN Mandates BDCs To Sell US Dollars At N1,314.01/US$ by poiZon: 4:56pm On Feb 28
wunmi590:

Very aptly said, this is one of the best solution...

If the above bolded is done the CBN should also give a close monitoring to the bank, the last time i went to the bank, come and see how they were begging me to change it for me, at a ridiculous exchange rate, until I now went to abomi to change it for a better rate..

So what I'm saying in essence is that once the bank have been given opportunity, they might start misbehaving and also hoard dollar
They won't, do u know that CBN always go on routine monitoring on banks vaults?
Unless BMs n other too dogs in the banks will devise means n ways to hoard the cash outside the bank.

The floating was necessary to get the real value of Naira since previous governments have been defending the naira. Now that they know the value, the next step is to force it down without spending ridiculous amount of money.
So what do u think is the real value of naira now?
Business / Re: CBN Mandates BDCs To Sell US Dollars At N1,314.01/US$ by poiZon: 4:33pm On Feb 28
wunmi590:

I don't see this being visible at all, I still see people them hoarding dollar, and then sell at a higher rate to people who are in desperate needs of more dollar...

I'm not sure this is realistic, most Nigerians are wicked from birth
If they hoard the dollars, that means CBN as the supervisory institution has failed too...

The Max BDCs r to sell to customers is 50dolls, if u need more u go to Ur bank n fill forms....
But to me BDCs should have been disbanded totally, let the banks create a department in their instructions where these trades n exchange take place so it could be duly monitored by CBN
Business / Re: CBN Mandates BDCs To Sell US Dollars At N1,314.01/US$ by poiZon: 4:27pm On Feb 28
Dialpad:
Not possible, these BDC cannot meet the demand of Nigeria based on the $20k weekly by CBN.

So if I want to travel and I need $15000, where will I get the cash ?

Will aboki sell the entire amount at government approved rate or how will it work.

The people I pity most are those that hurriedly purchased between 1400 and 1800 with the hope that it will hit 2500.

They didn't consider that the government will fight back.

What do u need 15000dolls for?
If na for import n it is not under goods that r restricted from assessing Forex, u go to the bank n fill forms

Politics / Re: Why Can't Every State In Nigeria Have A Geometric Power Plant??? by poiZon: 1:32pm On Feb 27
Cantonese:

He surely will not have issues collecting tariffs.
The DISCOs do not have that as a problem. The metering system provides pre paid and post paid for those who can guarantee their payments as at when due.

Certainly no one will steal power through the back door because it is a private initiative. If you do not purchase power, you will be in darkness.

Look, Nigerians spend a lot of money monthly on the purchase of petrol and diesel for their generators. If you make an comparison of the cost of buying petrol and energy purchase, you’ll find the later far cheaper in the end.

Geometric has done well. Let’s see others invest in the power sector.
The issue is the leaders r so bereft of ideas that power generation has become rocket science.
Let the FG unbundle Tcn, or give states without power plants 4 to 5yrs so they can invest in power plants, after that the entire Tcn should be unbundle.
States will now take care of the 3 strands of power, generation, distribution and transmission.
States can then do their internal privatisation or allow local govts to bid for power generation n transmission for their communities...
With these, we r almost getting closer to solving power problems in Nigeria.
How can akwaibom power plant be generating 190mw and we send it first to national grid which inturn distribute to taraba, kogi Kwara ...etc.
The entire northern states don't have power plants that generate up to 500mw of power outside kainji power which was built by Niger Delta funds.

Mrperfecto:
I will just be brief without writing too much.

We are based we have 4 children, my first child is 13 from my previous relationship, she has become very terrible, she doesn't listen to me or my wife. She tells her that she is not her biological mother and she cannot control her. She had threatened to call the police on my wife telling her if she touch her she will fight her back and call the police. She goes to school and closes at 3.45 her school is 10 mins walk from home, but she is always late for home.

She comes home around 6 sometimes 7pm , as I am writing now every friday she closes at 12.30 but she is still hasn't come back home yet.

I am on my way to work. I start at 6.30pm till 2.30am so I rarely get to see her and she only misbehaving when I am not around. So far we have seized her phone because we had found so many inappropriate messages exchanges between her and boys. We had also removed the TV from her room and her behaviour has gotten worse. She is behaving like she's possessed.

My wife and I are fed up. Even her siblings are tired of her. We want to send her back to Nigeria maybe in a boarding school until she is 18 in order to protect her younger ones. If we keep her and she continues with her terrible behaviour I may beat her badly and we may end up loosing all 4 children to the authorities.

Please what advice will you give to me concerning this issue?
