False alarm should attract stringent punishment if not death sentence,.maybe life imprisonment.

Accusing someone wrongly should not be taken.kindly by the state.

What if they had killed her, what if the police didn't come to her rescue on time...

Politics / Re: Petrol Stations Shutting Down, Marketers Warn by poiZon: 12:00pm On Oct 11, 2023
Paraman:
Subsidy ended after the PIB was signed by Buhari in 2021. Last year, Buhari only made provision to pay for subsidy till June 2023.

Every marketers know the government will eventually remove subsidy, that's why some of them have been leasing out their filling stations to the likes of NNPCL.

Is either they find their ways out of this or they will all eventually close down.

NNPCL and other major filling stations will never run out of petrol. A lot of filling stations have close down in my location, but the few ones left are more than enough self.
But nnpcl can never lease every filling stations in any state..
Even.if they do, some of the outlets will not have products.

What nnpc should do is be the sole importer.of fuel till Dangote or any other refinery comes onboard like it happened during buhari period.

A lot of marketers should have seen this coming.

The wise marketers leased out their filling stations to the NNPCL

A lot of them didn't believe subsidy will be remove.

they have been making a lot of profits in the past, I wander how they are folding up this fast.
U buy goods at 3million naira, sold it at 3.8million naira, go back to buy the goods, u realised it is now sold for 4.2million naira, u have shortage of 400k.
Shebi u go collect loan to add up.

If this keep happening every time u go to buy, men u will run out of biz cos I r selling just to repay loan and pay salaries.

Oga LPG is fully deregulated just like diesel.
LPG is priced in dollars, the NLNG plant in pH is a private company, they pay taxes and accruals to the govt, once dollar price goes up, their price too goes up.
Marketers buying from that plant needs to go there with dollars to buy, how do they source this dollars, is it thru banks or black market?
Politics / Re: Cooking Gas Price Hits N1,200 Per Kg And Still Rising by poiZon: 9:45am On Oct 11, 2023
If u get money, buy gas keep o..
Cos once winter comes, NLNG will be doing mostly transshipment to Europe and US..

Maybe 10 or 15 percent will be distributed to the country which will not fill the supply gap.

There is a need for govt to be in business, and also there is a need for the citizens to ensure the right people r voted into govt for the sake of accountability and transparency.

It's a pity when i see a bloody civilian talk rubbish about the armed forces. First of all, you don't know the level of a Major General in the army talkless of being a COAS. You don't even know the criteria and corps which COAS is being picked from.
The current COAS is a well trained special force officer with many years battle experience in the north east. Go and check what he did in the North before being appointed as COAS. The insurgency is bigger than what most of you kids on NL do not know! You think being a Lieutenant General is a joke?? Too many kids on NL
So if insurgency is bigger than the military, why are they still appointing army chiefs?

Is the office ceremonial of capacity driven?

What is their manifesto and mission statement?
If the insurgents r.bigger than the army, then we should give them their territory.

Chigozie321:

Would you prefer we buy fuel at N900 to a liter?

Our major problem is lack of functioning refineries. A partial subsidy is still better than nothing.
Nothing like lack of functioning refineries.

The issue is even if Dangote start production today, he will use our Forex template in buying crude, so if he source Forex at 1000 plus naira, do u think he will sell his products at 700 naira?

The issue today is Forex not even the price of crude.
Either the govt subsidize Forex to importers or he subsidize the goods brought in...
One of those must happen.
