Politics / Re: Why Can't Every State In Nigeria Have A Geometric Power Plant??? by poiZon: 1:32pm On Feb 27
Cantonese:

He surely will not have issues collecting tariffs.
The DISCOs do not have that as a problem. The metering system provides pre paid and post paid for those who can guarantee their payments as at when due.

Certainly no one will steal power through the back door because it is a private initiative. If you do not purchase power, you will be in darkness.

Look, Nigerians spend a lot of money monthly on the purchase of petrol and diesel for their generators. If you make an comparison of the cost of buying petrol and energy purchase, you’ll find the later far cheaper in the end.

Geometric has done well. Let’s see others invest in the power sector.
The issue is the leaders r so bereft of ideas that power generation has become rocket science.
Let the FG unbundle Tcn, or give states without power plants 4 to 5yrs so they can invest in power plants, after that the entire Tcn should be unbundle.
States will now take care of the 3 strands of power, generation, distribution and transmission.
States can then do their internal privatisation or allow local govts to bid for power generation n transmission for their communities...
With these, we r almost getting closer to solving power problems in Nigeria.
How can akwaibom power plant be generating 190mw and we send it first to national grid which inturn distribute to taraba, kogi Kwara ...etc.
The entire northern states don't have power plants that generate up to 500mw of power outside kainji power which was built by Niger Delta funds.

So all this

The subsidy money

Wake up there is nothing like that

Buhari even sold crude oil in advance up till later this year and spent the money
The country is broke
Nothing like
The subsidy money
Country is broke, country is broke but we dey spend 1billion naira on minimum wage committee that consists of state governors n ministers...

Family / Re: My 13 Years Old Has Become Terrible! I Want To Send Her Back To Nigeria by poiZon: 11:04am On Feb 24
Mrperfecto:
I will just be brief without writing too much.

We are based we have 4 children, my first child is 13 from my previous relationship, she has become very terrible, she doesn't listen to me or my wife. She tells her that she is not her biological mother and she cannot control her. She had threatened to call the police on my wife telling her if she touch her she will fight her back and call the police. She goes to school and closes at 3.45 her school is 10 mins walk from home, but she is always late for home.

She comes home around 6 sometimes 7pm , as I am writing now every friday she closes at 12.30 but she is still hasn't come back home yet.

I am on my way to work. I start at 6.30pm till 2.30am so I rarely get to see her and she only misbehaving when I am not around. So far we have seized her phone because we had found so many inappropriate messages exchanges between her and boys. We had also removed the TV from her room and her behaviour has gotten worse. She is behaving like she's possessed.

My wife and I are fed up. Even her siblings are tired of her. We want to send her back to Nigeria maybe in a boarding school until she is 18 in order to protect her younger ones. If we keep her and she continues with her terrible behaviour I may beat her badly and we may end up loosing all 4 children to the authorities.

Please what advice will you give to me concerning this issue?

I think the issue of restructuring should now be on the front burner if truly we really want to grow and move forward.
Let states control their resources n pay certain percentage to the federal government.
In so doing states can now determine their fate, no more free money again...

Imagine we don't even know what is happening in the solid mineral sector, meanwhile so much is going on in the sector unabated.. the locals have now turned lords of the realm, arming militias to commandeer the rich mineral zones in their states, locking out the federation from tapping and gaining from the exploration n exploitation of the minerals in their domain.
Our southern senators should not think they r okay cos of the short-lived benefits they r getting from their humongous allowance n paychecks, they should rise to the occasion n speak against these anomaly the northern califates r perpetrating under the cover of Banditry n bullshit.
If need be, let's move a motion for peace ful separation cos it's like THINGs have fallen apart and the centre can no longer hold this entity called Nigeria.

Travelling alone is tourism, but with the present state of insecurity, do u expect someone to start traveling from Uyo to jalingo cos he wants to feel good with minimum wage of 30k which comes later than usual most months?

Even if state govts inject funds into tourism, it won't sell cos the country is already demarketed..

Every month US, UK n EU consular will update states with absurd insecurities, who will wanna come n spend his money when he isn't sure of returning back alive?

98% of Nigerian governors are lazy and clueless but their people wont hold them responsible for it. What's stopping most states from investing massively in large scale farming and tourism(some Nigerian state has a rich culture and beautiful landscape than Zanziba, look at what Zanziba is today) instead of white elephants project like airports undecided . Awolowo built the first TV station, Stadium, free education program in Africa with cocoa money and the total revenue from the cocoa is not up to the FAAC allocation that these wicked governors are pocketing. Governors are the major problem in Nigeria

It is unfortunate that Nigeria is a dyslexic country filled with unserious people. If not, how would you expect a man of his age going about the roadside to hawk the currency of his country.

Let's see it this way.... The old, mutilated, outdated and unfit currency that are withdrawn from circulation and are meant for destruction are being recycled into the economy through some unpatriotic citizens in the high offices in our banking sector of the economy.

Because of the privileges of their offices, they will claim the equivalent value of the old/mutilated currency in new notes and push them into the economy through the back door with the help of their agents who sells our currency at motor parks and in owanbe functions.

These acts are economic sabotage and a treasonable offence against the state. If Nigeria is a serious country, people like these should be made to face serious consequences for their unpatriotic acts.

Lastly, when last did you get a new Naira notes from our commercial banks?

Now you should have a little understanding of his crime.
Is it the new notes that is Ur problem or the man?
