The fragile peace in Malumfashi Local Government Area of Katsina State has been threatened following the fatal shooting of Alhaji Ibrahim Nagode, 60, by Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) personnel.

Open grazing has long being abolished in Nigeria since the 1950s. In 1965 particularly, express grazing routes were created all across the north and also Oyo and Ogun states. Any herder who deviated from these routes and encroached on land belonging to farmers was prosecuted.
It is sad that those routes got abandoned and encroached on. But as at that time, Nigeria has less than 4 million cattle. Compared to now that we have over 45 million cattle and a larger population.

What really motivate insecurity in Nigeria? Every state in Nigeria suffers security challenges but 85% comes from the North. Benue people have been suffering insecurity for more than two decades but it seems what has been happening in Benue state for long is now getting to other part of the country.

Who are the people spreading insecurity? Where do they get motivation for spreading insecurity? Could it be from their holy book or imams, traditional leaders and politicians?

Every government has been paying lip service to insecurity from 2010 . And also different governments have been setting aside billions of dollars every year to fight terrorism and banditry but to no avail. We can not continue these ways.

Nigerians need to advocate for referendum if it does not exist in our constitution. We are totally different from each other on the basis of culture and religion perceptive. There is need for discussion about coming together as Nigerians. It goes beyond political party whether it is APC, PDP, Apga,LP even the newly formed Adc. Are they not the same people with same interest?
Nigerians need to talk about our togetherness. If we can not agree on some salient points then let's go our different ways instead of wasting people life.
