This issue of Lag-Cal coastal highway is a done deal and there's no going back as structures have been demolished and work has been initiated. Where this project eventually culminates is definitely going to determine the shape of the ballot cum 2027.

Most of us don't know the value of infrastructure.. unless the Lag-Cal coastal highway is abandoned, I'll be a huge fan of this initiative. A lot of buildings and structures were demolished but the most noise keeps coming from Landmark all because of sensationalism.

No doubt wages and salaries should be reviewed, upscaled, and upgraded but 615k is not only going to drive up inflation, but locally cripple the value of the naira which is our national identity. The natural solution for this may be to 1)Drive down prices of goods and services (even if it has to subsidize grains such as rice, beans , maize etc).
2) start giving out incentives and cash award to civil servants and artisans to mitigate the effect of this hardship
3) Adequate security and mechanized incentives for farmers everywhere.

Tinubu, Atiku or Obi can only make promises to get power, but dispensing, allocation and re-allocating of scarce resources,feeding the whole of west Africa with our ever porous borders and corruption in every nook and cranny of our every day lives isn't child's play.
