@omonifamily enjoy it for now...If there is award for it, my lo will be the Chief of hiccups...Na after every feeds and burp... Even when you felt he has overfed already.. Mostly I do leave it to stop on its own, it is of no harm. Once in a while I put him to breast but rare... Sorry ehn.. |
@Fexcathy... Thanks so much. I guess this likewise, cos whenever he does it I do remove the breast entirely and he will be calm even without burping... mama zaynie....completey...... Am glad you responded....will try the burping method also. I called a paediatrician family friend and she said is likely to be colic as well. It is always funny to me the way he does it...As if he is over enjoying the milk.... |
Bomgirl:Thanks so much He will start crying but not stretching something like struggling and fighting with breast. He stops when he feels like sleeping, or when I removed the breast from his mouth.... passage of gas not belching does not follow.... when I removed the breast totally he becomes calm..... |

salford1:please what does this suppose to mean for clarification. |
felaismyhero:So, your problem now is to see other profession being flourishing..... I don't need to write much to reply you. one word for you: Enemy of progress..... |
@ Dr yassinattah not seeing each other on the thread doesn't mean we should not display maturity.. so you mean all your display of freedom of speech have been reasonable so far.. that is what we are saying. So who are those Intellect? Very funny And no one is generalizing about all Dr. you don't need to take it personal. I dont dispute the fact that there very good one and the not so pompous ones. I hope you have read where I said a pad was stucked deep inside me then for 7 days... Cos i can see that most of you oversee that.. Not I don't know appropriate things to do but I have to let it go cos I don't want to be the cause of failure to progress of anyone.... let us be human enough in our thinking. Am not here to trade words.... |
Ang88... It is so well with Nursing profession.... everybody is shouting medicine, as if they can do it all. you remind me of a patient that lost her life during my training as a student. It happened at a teaching hospital as well. The consultant in charge find it difficult to come and see the patient. Despite several calls from the Chief Nursing Officer that the debridement his reg done has caused more havoc than good. he refused to show up. all he did was to always request for the wound from phone picture. It was this same Reg he asked to carry the woman for another debridement. This is a patient that 2 nurses will battle with her wound. this reg will not even want to see the wound if it is not yet dressed. I could remember the CNO called consultant and told him blankly that Prof so so if this patient die, you are the one that kill her. she eventually lost her life..... Even as a students them what we were subjected all because of staff shortage cannot be mentioned... No one is saying they want the same pay with Docs. But you people should also be human enough and leave this sentiment. As a graduate Nurse the take home salary is not up to 80k...And most of the dirtiest responsibilities on patient are carried out by nurses.. Yes, I didnt study medicine not because I can't or I don't gain admission but not.everyone wilI have passion for Medicine.. I settled for Microbiology all because I didn't secure admission for Nursing science on time. And I enrolled for my Nursing after my B.sc Microbiology. So all because others didn't study medicine,.they should suffer.... Well am not for hate talk but we have to be realistic and have fear of God. Nursing is my calling... |
I have been a silent follower on this most of the comments have read on this thread just force me out of the silent mode. People shouting doctors, doctors, please even as a citizen I fear Nigerian doctors. And someone will come and say we should not talk about their misconduct here. I have encountered so much in their hands and whenever I have relatives visiting the hospital I do make sure I find every opportunity for them to see someone I know his or her competency has no doubt. most of Nigerian doctors belongs to killers association. 3 years ago, my grandma had fever and I suggested they should took her to the hospital. UITH.. ok,,to cut the story short, after all assessment and physical examination , she had a BP of 140/90. Antihypertensive was prescribed, as a student Nurse I told my mum she should hold on the drug that how come Dr just made a diagnosis of hypertension on first visit despite no pointer from her history. I sacrifice to took the reading twice a day alternating it for a week. the constant BP was 120/80. we didn't follow d Dr prescription. I just treated her for malaria. what made me to do so? I do pity some Pt on d ward cos some eventually die as a result of drug side effects and we are shouting Doctors as if they know all... Ok to my ordeal as a patient. anytime I have clinic during antenatal I make sure I took my folder to a well-known Doc or I just forget about clinic for the day. During my delivery I was unfortunate in their hands again. A pad was stucked deep inside me just because the Dr wanted to suture me then, he forget to remove it and despite the pain and all the complained I was making then, he didn't take it serious. I had to call the doc even after discharge cos I wasn't feeling well. Not until I pleaded to someone to a colleague to come and check me at home and we discovered the pad wasn't removed. this was after 8 days. And yet you are here ranting Nurses can not work independently. Another one did a bad suturing for me after my second child. I was in pain for more than 10 days. with analgesics and antibiotics. Not until I called a Aunt also a doc to help me check whay went wrong. She had to loose all the sutures, and I felt relieved. i asked what the problem was and she just asked me who did it in the first place. And I was told it wasn't done properly. To come to think of it. I know my right as a Nurse. And this people are committing the blunders on me. But I just let it go because I can't and I don't want to be the one behind anyone's failure in life. this Doc are not houseofficers, they are reg. So those of you saying that Nursea cannot work without your order, it is a big fat lie. Have worked in privates and it is Nurses that does majority of the work. except surgery. Nurses will even prescribed and all the docs will do is to document it in their report.. Also, in the teaching hospital where I was trained, I appreciate the Nurses their cos they savea the life of most patient in the surgical wards by implementing new ways and intervention in wound healing without the Doc knowing cos of they knows, let their blunders strike on patient and it is their Nurse enemy they will blame.. I as a person never applied for Medicine. Nursing is my calling. And am proud to be irrespective of the working condition. So |
eleojo23:More than backward. It is so bad that for a graduate Nurse. the entry point is even lower than pharmacist and medical lab scientist. It Is even worst that in most private health facility,.what they offer A Nursing graduate is 20k. |
Mofpearl:I wonder if most of them even knows what a nurses job specification is. who told them a Nurse cannot work independently. well I don't blame them sha when majority of their people employ quacks and auxiliary for service how won't they be yarning rubbish.. |
Thank you so much to all mamaa that took their time to respond toy questions. Am so grateful.. @completey. Thanks for that. Lucky you that oga do comply when you are not safe. I also have regular cycle but for hubby to comply in that aspect is my problem. @nnekaike urs was even better. we were close to 10 or more than that the day we went there.... |
queensnow:As for me it is catching, nice to be there, fascinating and many more. who send me to advertise sef. pocket friendly? As for me it is not meant for an average Nigerian except if the person wants to fast after it. went there with my family and we turned back from the gate after all the money story... Depending on your location, Omu Resort Centre is nice and pocket friendly though not as big as hi impact. |
Roseey0:Apply Original Shea butter or coconut oil at every diaper change. when you notice any rash apply Original sudocream and u are good to go. |
FexCathy:I don't really understand. my sister told me one is imported I.e pro and the other is Nigeria. she uses the two for her boy. good first before she discovered pro. she claimed prI is better than gold by far. there money diff is also there. but when I tasted it I could not actually figure out the taste diff |
DocAdray:Thanks sis. |

He doesn't toy with fried rice and jollof rice and beans. Also he loves Ribenna ...he will change with time. He goes to creche once in a while and he do eat at creche than at home. HE is also chief of plantain. |
