Apologies i have been away, not been well had 2 weeks of sick from my work with really bad anxiety, all well now though.

Im nearing for hubby to submit which is next month (jeez that seems weird saying next month ha ha)

Few questions:

i) Does hubby need a copy of our marriage certificate to submit in Nigeria, since I have it in the UK with me and Ikoyi wont issue a copy?

ii) My payslips are all online, they have the company logo etc, do I need these to be stamped too? (I am supplying payslips from April 2014 to the most recent) My bank have agreed to stamp my online ones, but did say HO should accept them.

iii) What is the website address to start the application?

iiii) Please can you advise me of what happens once hubby has filled out the application online, and is it worth to pay for the priority service?

My husband is yet to receive any phone call or email from home office to pick up is passport and tb certificate we got the determination letter on 11/05/15 And we submitted the passport on 31/07/2015 to UK Sheffield and till this moment we are still waiting to collect the passport I have emailed several times and phone the international enquiry office they kept saying the case will be escalated and my husband has been to the VAC office several times but nothing , please can any one help on how to contact them other than the email address on there website and phone number.

I need some advice on the bank statements I will need to supply to Sheffield for hubbys spouse visa application

My bank statements are online PDFs ive printed, and I seem to be just going over everything like a million times.

I have seen conflicting information

in the immigration appendix it states this:

(1) on official bank stationery; or
(2) electronic bank statements which are either accompanied by a letter
from the bank on its headed stationery confirming that the documents are
authentic or which bear th
e official stamp of the issuing bank on every
page.

All my pdf have headed paper etc.

has anyone had to get these stamped, my bank NatWest have said they do not stamp statements.

QUICK QUESTION; AS A BUSINESSMAN, IT WOULD BE DIFFICULT TO ASCERTAIN A SPECIFIC MONTHLY INCOME AS INCOME WOULD VARY MONTH BY MONTH DEPENDING ON BUSINESS. what should be used as monthly income? how does one go about coming up with a figure? would using 'N/A' be acceptable?

similarly, money given to family members and other dependents would also vary depending on how much income is made for the month, how should one input those figures .

Im sure you could work out an average?

Lufthansa is a huge airline, very funny with fare rules, as a travel consultant i know them to be very difficult to deal with when making any changes as they have so many restrictions should you need to make changes, but as a passenger you should be fine.

http://www.airlinequality.com/seat-reviews/lufthansa/ the reviews are not too good, but then it all depends on what you are looking for or what is your preference when looking for flights, is it cheapest vs fastest etc.

Also dont be afraid to use other airlines such as Iberia(owned by British airways) , Royal Air Moroc where you will find tickets at a fraction of the cost of direct flights with Virgin or BA.

My hubby has just done his IELTS A1 English test yesterday, he said he found it very simple.

Now for the TB test, is there only one centre to do this, and does anyone know how much it is? He was told by someone else waiting for a test they were charged 30000 Naira, is this correct?

The property inspection thing is a bit of porkies, doesn't apply to your case.

Your employment contract and a letter of salary increase have enough info to justify your employment status and salary then you got your payslips as well.

I really don't think there is any templates for it but if she got business letterhead it will be nice to write it on it.

Its simply confirming her full name, address of the property, the type of the property and that she has given her consent for you to live their with your hubby.

She only has the one apartment she lets, so doesn't have business letter headed paper, I will advise of what you said.

I have asked my Landlady to write me a letter for the apartment that i rent, to specify that she is happy for my husband to live with me once he comes to the UK.

Are there any templates that anyone knows of, as she asked me what exactly is it that she needs to be writing, and if it is to me or to 'to whom it may concern'

please advise, or if anyone has a letter template, i could only locate ones online that indicated the applicant was already in the UK

Hi everyone, Its testimony time!!! Yayyyy!!! After months of waiting, dear visa is here . I was tensed cos hubby wasn't called unlike the timelines I have seen on this forum.

Here's my timeline
May 21, 2015- submitted application online
May 26th - Went for biometrics and was interviewed
May 27th - recieved email from UKVI that they have received my application.
June 8th - supporting documents received by Sheffield. Note that I didn't receive an email to this effect, just the postal delivery report. I thought this as unusual unlike what I have seen on this forum, but hubby told me not to get worried.
And so the wait began, it was a long wait. I was waiting to hear hubby say he has been invited for an interview. For where, no info.
Jul 30th - hubby contacted UKVI via email requesting an update
Jul 31st - emailed response of no current updates. We were asked to provide info for case to be expedited
Aug 2nd - Case escalated
Aug 4th -Email from UKVI stating the application in question is awaiting ECO assessment
Aug 6th - Received an email from UKVI that a decision have been made. I experienced an intense session of heart palpitations. Hubby was not called for an interview and I was so scared it meant a refusal. Most timelines I have read, have that interview and then a positive response. He thought it probably meant our application was well arranged... lol. He was right
Aug 7th - Supporting documents returned to hubby. (we were both confused as d photocopies were returned, but all na tension)
Aug 10th - Email from teleperfomance that passport is ready collection
Aug 11th - Taadah!!!! Passport collected, visa stamped 4th Aug!! Hubby and I are over excited and extremely grateful to God.

Thanks girlfio,Lexusgs430 and everyone for ur contributions on this forum. I hope my timeline helps someone in need of answers.

Congratulations on your new Marriage, I hope it all goes smoothly

My hubby and I got married 25th March and we are waiting until November to apply, I don't want to rush it, I have all the docs ready now, just adding a few more up until the application date then he is good to go

I will follow to see how you are doing with the whole process
