newbie715: Ok great yes, i will do that then I told hubby to get this in October, and told him to travel to his university to get his documents from when he graduated too. My husbands uncle was very impressed with my file, I have done a table of contents for the whole folder and all in date order, including our pictures, i done a spreadsheet with all the data from my pay slips, kinda at a glance thing, before the actual payslips, its just a matter of adding all the upto date payslips and bank statements now |

Food / Re: Some Bad Cooking Habits Women Have by Portsmouth86(f): 1:50am On Aug 10, 2015 |
A true chef always tastes their cooking before serving If in a restaurant, you just taste it with a fresh spoon and wash it, do not then put it back into the pot, but for your wife/husband to be tasting the food...why the hell not? I always taste my own cooking to make sure there is not too much salt etc, of course if i had guests I wouldn't put the spoon back into the pot. I agree on the spoon left on the pot for long periods without washing it though all the other points I agree 7 Likes 3 Shares |

NEROSKY: Of course you get that here, but those women that do don't go far in life, some women are pure lazy and expect the man to do everything. What happened to dating, the getting to know someone before taking the next step? Its a sad reality of today's society, social media don't help matters, people having the need to big themselves up to follow trends. 1 Like |

NEROSKY: From what I have observed its the way guys are towards women in Nigeria, majority see a woman as a trophy rather than the woman she is, maybe guys shouldn't be seen as 'buying' affection from a woman with gifts etc, true women will like her man whether he has wealth or not, as Nelson Mandela once said: Money won't create success, the freedom to make it will. My own favorite quote is :Don't be a woman that needs a man...Be a woman a man needs |

I think this is a bit over the top, not all women are like that, I am 28 myself, I started my first job at the age of 15 in a supermarket on the weekends and after school, I have worked ever since. At one point I worked 3 jobs, 10pm-6am Sun-Fri in one job, then 7am till 9am Mon-Fri in another then another job on Friday nights, only having Saturday off, continuing that for approx 2 years. I left home at 17, after having a tough upbringing yet still I working hard, then moved into my own rented room within a shared house, always independent. Put myself through my driving lessons, traveled to a few countries, Albania, Turkey and Nigeria, and always bought everything I own with my own hard work, went to college on my own back... I have never in my life relied on anyone other than myself. Now I work for one of the worlds biggest bluechip financial institutions for which I have been working for 9 years, working my way up through drive and ambition, without top grades in school or college, I was always more a work minded woman, but I still succeeded. I recently got married to my wonderful husband, who is 32, he is Nigerian, I am white British, some may think that its a rich life in UK but its not all a bed of roses, yet I got on with it and made something of myself despite my own background and upbringing. Now its time for me to share my life with another person, whilst still maintaining some of my own independence, nothing confusing about that. I think I've now said my piece, so please don't tar all women with the same brush, there are many respectable and hard working women out there including in Nigeria. 7 Likes 1 Share |

iblaw: you can change your return on any airline dependent on the ticket you buy, you just need to make sure you select the flexible economy, bare in mind all airlines impose penalties for any changes, I book flights and deal with exchanges on a daily basis, Business and first class are the only tickets that only allow one change without penalty. Also don't assume if you purchase a non flexible on your outbound flight but a flexible on the return, that you can change a flight, since the most restrictive airline rules applies, so make sure both segments are flexible. I hope this helps |

iblaw: Iberia are a Spanish airline which has merged with British airways, they are not the best airline in line with the planes of BA or that of virgin. Its more the cost, Iberia offer really low priced flights compared to many other airlines...but far better than Arik air, http://www.reviewcentre.com/reviews7871.html the reviews are not great, but i know people who have used them and said it was fine, just not to expect a service which Virgin/BA offer I personally Live in the UK and each time I want to come to Nigeria to see my hubby I pay approx £800 for my flight and then pay about £300 for my own visa (on each visit) , so in all I need £1100 before I start, so of course when I saw that with Iberia, my flight and visa would be less than buying just a flight ticket with Virgin, its a no brainer for me its definitely worth giving them a go, what have you to lose? Depending on the flight you choose you can get really good connection times too. |

bewla: Africa is a continent, Nigeria is a country There are good and bad in whichever country one is from, the main key is communication, alot of couples lack, and have little respect for eachother these days. I agree on the getting his attention, once a women starts to get 'too comfortable' then thats when things can start to go downhill, I believe anyway |

Why is this all in favor of the woman, feminism this and that yet what about Masculism? The mans right, since both men and women are supposed to be equal. neither a woman or a man is a product, in some cultures the man has to provide items for the brides family prior to marriage, which I am sure the man is aware of, I see it as showing the prospective in-laws that the man is able to provide for their daughter, or am I wrong? To ask for a refund, a refund for what? that is crazy you can only get a refund on something which is purchased, so those whom request a refund for a bride ...you bought your wife? meaning of refund: To pay back (money), typically to a customer who is not satisfied with goods or services bought. example: "if you're not delighted with your purchase, we guarantee to refund your money in full" |

bewla: Newly married to my husband, since March this year ... I only have to look at my parents mum is 49 dad is 69 (yes 20yrs age gap ) they have been married 31 years. My husband is currently in Nigeria, but we call and chat every day without fail which is important, and we will continue once hes here in UK, there's nothing that we don't talk about. I don't believe there is a length of time you need to be married for you to know how to keep it strong and happy, Marriage is a union, 2 become 1. 1 Like |

I think communication is key in any marriage, tell him how you feel, women can give the cold shoulder if hubby is not showing her attention, that's a bad move, since your husband will feel rejection, hints wont work, sit down and talk Marriage is a two way road and both husband and wife must make it a priority to keep the spark in their marriage ignited. Remember when you got butterflies the first time you met eyes with your spouse? The first time that you told each other, "I love you!" Just because you're married doesn't mean you can't flirt with your spouse and still court them. Tell them how much you love them or how attractive they look. Drop a pick-up line or two. "Did it hurt when you fell from heaven?" Ha - okay, it may sound corny but your spouse will appreciate your efforts or above all else get a good laugh. Never let the sparks die out. Take your spouse out for a date and if possible set up a date night schedule. This will allow you to have quality time together and reconnect after a hectic week. Having alone time will help you appreciate each other and unwind from everyday stress. Make sure that your spouse knows that they are a priority in your life and not just another person in a schedule or scenario. They are important and life wouldn't be the same without them - make sure that they are aware of that! Don't assume! Make time for each other. It's very hard when you have children to get away but remember that without your marriage you would not have the foundation of your family, Keep in mind that your marriage is just as important as your children. You're setting the example for your kids when it comes to good/bad relationships. That is my view on marriage and how to keep it alive. 1 Like |
