Four Nigerians i think can lead NIgeria out of the woods include:

Chief Emeka Anyaoku.

Professor Pat Utomi.

Professor Charles Soludo.

Col. Abubarkar Umar.

President Obasanjo and Atiku should go back to their loots after 2007.

Politics / 2007 Presidency:where Are The So-called Igbo Leaders by Posh(m): 6:59pm On Mar 14, 2006
Can somone help me echo this same question? For how long will the Ndigbo continue to play second fiddle in Nigerian politics? Recent reports have it that the Ohaneze Ndigbo which deludes itself falsely as the mouthpiece of the Igbos especially in matters of National importance have endorsed the third term bid of President Olusegun Obasanjo. When will the Igbos sit down, plan well, eschew money politics and think of producing a president for our great country?Your guess is as good as mine.Maybe only in my dreams, because presently most of the Igbo governors and opinion leaders believe that Obasanjo is the best thing that have happened ,and will ever happen to Nigeria.May prosterity forgive them. Someone say Amen!!!

Politics / Re: Picture Of President Obasanjo Kissing A Girl by Posh(m): 11:56am On Mar 13, 2006
Kissing a small girl is not an evidence of good leadership which Baba thinks he personifies, but it does show that this is the era of moral decadence.Help Baba has just abused the small girl(albeit partially).
Politics / Re: Third Term Agenda <Vote, Comments> by Posh(m): 12:08pm On Mar 11, 2006
The third term agenda of President Olusegun Obasanjo continues to generate heated debates in political circles.Funny enough, it is rumored that no less than 9 southern governors have lined up albeit shamelessly behind the bid. This started like a rumour, but from the situation of things at present,it is clear that the third term bid is for real.

President Obasanjo has continued to keep mute over the issue apparently not to further infuriate Nigerians who are tired of his fruitless economic policies(if at all, there were economic policies) while praise singers and syncophants like the MAN president, Chief Tony Anenih,Chief Ojo Madueke and many more political prostitutes continue to drum it to the people that there will be no vacancy in Aso rock in 2007.It was the same leprous politicians that hoodwinked the late Gen. Abacha into believing that he was God's choice for NIgeria many years ago, until God intervened. Now the same beggars are falling over themselves by deceiving the President that he is best President Nigeria can ever have.May God open the eyes of the President not to cave into their whims.Somebody say Amen.
Sports / Uefa Champions League: How Are The Mighty Fallen! by Posh(m): 8:13pm On Mar 10, 2006
Indeed how are the mighty fallen.Against highly rated Liverpool, benfica fc showed the sort of class they possess by humbling liverpool out of the competition, ditto for Real Madrid,Bayern munich,Juventus,Chelsea(too bad) et al.

I hope people like Jose Mourinho will have the hard way to shut their mouths and quit the boastings because in my estimation they are and will ever remain perennial underachievers(no apologies).Big ups Arsenal!!!

Sports / Football Mathematics:are We Jinxed? by Posh(m): 1:33am On Feb 10, 2006
This question is apt.Since the 1994 nations cup,Nigeria has not lifted the nations Cup; a brief preview of the nations cup from 1994 to 2006 shows that we may have been jinxed.Firstly,we were stopped from going to the nations cup editions of 1996 and 1998 as a result of the personality clash between the late Ge. Abacha and Nelson Mandela. One felt that our return to the continental fiesta in the magical year 2000 will result to our lifting the trophy, but the dream remains elusive.

In the year 2004, we settled(though grudgingly) for a bronze medal and recently, we defeated Senegal to settle for another bronze medal. The question on the lips of many a football fan in Nigeria is whether we are jinxed. When will this hydra-headed monster of mismanagement of scarce resources and godfatherism which has been our bane in the recent past be finally checked?Nigerians arehighly religious;this shows in constant prayers and fastings made by some Nigerians to the Almighty God.But God is not partial. We cannot trifle our preparations and expect miracles to happen.

Football mathematicians also known as bookmarkers will only favour us if we put our house together and begin earnest preparations towards the next continental fiesta.A word of advice is enough for the wise.Peace.
Sports / 2006 Nations Cup: Coach Eguavoen To Stay? by Posh(m): 1:14am On Feb 10, 2006
Are we destined to fail? How come a country like Nigeria blessed with so many human resources continues to falter?Firstly, as a result of mismanagement of resources and "chop chop" politics, the country conceded her world cup ticket to minnows,Angola. As the wounds from failing to qualify for the world cup refused to heal,Eguavoen and his co-tavellers in the Eagles technical crew boasted that the Super Eagles will win the Nations Cup to compensate for failing to qualify the Eagles to the World Cup.

No sooner after the Eagles showdown with Ghana that Eguavoen complained of delirium(sorry confusion) as regards his selection. The height of confusion manifested in the semifinals cracker with the Ivory Coast in which he made a faux pas by fielding highly inexperienced sani Kaita in the defensive midfield, starting kanu and playing Osaze or Makinwa instead of John Utaka in the midfield, thereby gambling our chances of clinching the coveted trophy.

The question on everyone's lips is how long will we continue to sit and watch while some of these indigenous coaches trifle away our chances in the name of experimenting? My viewpoint is that a highly experienced foreign technical adviser be recruited as soon as possible to tinker the team to the next Nations Cup while Eguavoen and his assistants should sit behind the foreign technical manager to learn the ropes.Nigeria, certainly deserves the best and presently, we are miles far from achieving that or what do you think?
Politics / Re: Who is Wrestling Corruption in Nigeria? by Posh(m): 12:57am On Feb 10, 2006
I have always felt that Nigeria is like a chair on wobbly legs. The executive, judiciary and the legislative arms of government are in dire need of "surgical attention".There has been this hue and cry about the ills of corruption and attempts to curb it,but we know that corruption still ranks in the land like an epidemic.
The anti-corruption crusade should go beyond mere rhetorics, windowdressing or hunting perceived enemies or how else can one explain that a "highly placed" criminal by name Tafa Balogun was convicted of stealing billions of naira by a "kangaroo court" presided by an executive "puppet" in the name of Chief Judge. If Tafa Balogun was to be a poor man, he will have bagged for himself 30 years or more in jail with hard labour. No wonder, the musician African China spoke about this when he sang"When a poor man steals, his face is shown on crimefighters on national television, but when a big man steals, his face is not shown on shwon. The EFCC,which is supposed to be an anticorrution watchdog may well be an instrument used by executive to hunt down political enemies or opponents of the third term bid of the president;unless the EFCC is made to be independent of the intricacies or meddlesomeness of the executive,it may go the way of the ICPC-a toothles bulldog.

As far as I know, the anticorruption crusade of the present administration is a charade,a show of shame,a bastion of the true ideals which we herald.I suggest that all political office holders starting from the president be made to declare all their assets on national television, also all of them should account to us their sources of income and anyone who account properly for his sourceof income should be convicted and be jailed for life. Most religious leaders in NIgeria are sycophants, praise singers ,political bucaneers and junketeers;they should be made to face thier primary assignment -to tend God's flock or be shown the way out.
Sports / Super Eagles At The Threshold Of History!!! by Posh(m): 4:01am On Feb 03, 2006
I do not care what any other person thinks, but I have an innner conviction that the  Super Eagles at the   Nations Cup in Egypt  will  simply go all the way to final and   possibly lift the cup.Ihas been reported in the Egyptian press that most  coaches of other countries  still in contention are  growing grey hairs over the Eagles superlative perfromances recently especially against highly rated Teranga Lions of Senegal when they  came from behind to confirm the superiority. The Egyptian coach, who, grows grey hairs  in almost every match is reported not happy, contemplating a  match  with the Super Eagles especially in the Finals which obviously, his team will not win.

  So we hold da Ace!!!.

Health / Re: Lets Talk About Diabetes by Posh(m): 3:01am On Feb 03, 2006
Diabetes is generally believed to be a  a condition common among the supposedly well-to-do in the society  caused by the  by a high level of blood sugar- a condition commonly referred in medical Sciences as Hyper glycaemia.Well, recent studies and advances in the  field of medical sciences  lends us the credence that this view is farther from the truth.Well, the truth is every human on planet earth makes proteins in his body :the structure of which is determined by the genes or  offspring-information containing elements in the body.

Genes make proteins and Insulin which regulates blood sugar level is made by these genes,so when a person is said to be diabetic,it will be as a result of the inability of these genes to make insulin probably due to a   mutation-a deleterious  situation which can only be  treated by management. As a result of the inability of the blood to control the sugar level due to a   genetic defect, blood sugar levels rises and the individual can then be said to be diabetic. So  I want us to understand that insulin is primarily a genetic defect caused probably by a mutation in these insulin-encoding genes rather than  very high sugar levels, after all we  all take in sugar daily yet we are not all diabetic. This is rather an icing on the cake.Peace
Politics / Election 2007: Won't There Be Rigging? by Posh(m): 2:36am On Feb 03, 2006
2007: Nigeria At Crossroads

It is obvious that the Nigerian politicians and our so-called leaders of thought care no less about the affairs of the people they were elected to serve. 2007 is about 10 months away, sadly though, we are daily bombarded with news of politicians at daggers drawn all because of the much talked about "National cake".

We have a President who is bent of serving out another third term or possibly serving for life: the wishes and aspirations of the people he was elected to serve is not regarded anyless. Hence all "bottle necks to this clearly over-ambitious tendency must be crushed.

No wonder the Bayelsa and Oyo State Chief Executives were all sacrificed on the altar of personal aggarandizement. Indeed 2007 portends a a dangerous trend for this country, especially with the proposed introduction the electronic voting system in the polity: it is then apparent that the infamous rein of electoral rigging will return.

God save Nigeria.
