in you application you will see this statement under review of eligibility

"We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements."

tourphland:
Good day house

TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 19 by possessor1: 1:20pm On Aug 01, 2021
Thanks for this. how can I reach you?

Frankrobbn1:
REVIEW OF ELIGIBILITY: is the final check and the final stage of your application at the Visa Office. At this point, all of the components of your application are assessed by the responsible immigration officer. The visa officer will be checking if you actually QUALIFY for a Canadian study permit and if your application meet the requirements of the IRCC Act. If your application is deemed eligible, the Visa officer will request for a medical examination as needed by the Visa Office to complete processing of your application.

Most times, it is the Review of Eligibility that some applicants fail to meet because their applications and conditions does not meet the requirements of the IRCC Act (Insufficient funds, course correlation, limited home ties, failure to convince the visa officer that the primary intention is to study). Other checks are just standard procedure for IRCC.

After successful review of an applicant application and given that there were no serious issues in the medical checkup, nor any misrepresentation, and security checks to ensure that you will not be a danger to Canadians should your study permit be approved, the Visa Officer will then request for your passport for visa issuance.

It will end in praise

Thanks. contacted my bank. I'm in the process of creating a dollar account. im planning to make the payment on Tuesday.

IRCC gave me 30 days to make the payment.

The agent is not seeing the chargeback

anyone that has done this.... how did you go about the payment...was it from the email that was sent to you.

Kindly reply. Regards.

quote author=Anon123 post=104305366]

The agent got a chargeback. All you need to do is draft an explanation to what happened and make this repayment YOURSELF!!![/quote]
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 19 by possessor1: 12:09am On Aug 01, 2021
I dont quite agree.. Company sponsorship can be stronger than individual sponsorships especially if you have bank statements or strong letter of sponsorship from a reputable organisation especially if it is known internationally.

In this case, you can term it sponsorship grant from your organisation. If he can get a letter.. Even better.. But add it to your SOP.

RxOtunba:
Why is the company co-sponsoring u? If ur father is buoyant enough, he should be ur only sponsor. I dnt think adding ur employer as a co-sponsor adds any value

is that a dorm account?
Silverkc:
You can pay with dollar card in Nigeria. I paid mine too with my dollar card and I also paid for a friend.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 19 by possessor1: 4:25pm On Jul 31, 2021
Thanks a lot!

Oyesquare10:
I am really amazed with the way agents are playing with people's Carrier. They know the implication of charge back and yet they do it.
It's really sad.
Please pay the money again but yourself this time. You can open a domiciliary account, fund it and pay through it or through a family member (close one please) that has a domiciliary account.
I also learnt on this group that you can send a letter explaining that you had to pay the initial one that was charged back through a third party because of the $100 limit on Nigeria card

DO NOT PAY THROUGH THE AGENT AGAIN!
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 19 by possessor1: 2:57pm On Jul 31, 2021
PLEASE TREAT AS URGENT

IRCC just messaged me and told me that I have a debt of 235 dollars.

that I need to pay this before they continue with my application.

how do I approach this?

what do I do?

Gurus please I need your counsel...does calling someone in Canada to quickly pay affect my application in anyway?

NB I used an agent when I applying.... He made the payments.

PPR ALERT
TIMELINE:
• February 8th: First submission
• February 17th: I received an NSE request. I had already submitted IELTS, so they just requested for MBS certificate.
• March 10th: I completed my NSE resubmission.
• March 16th: I went for upfront medicals
• April 12th: Medicals were updated to passed
• April 19th: I received a BVL At this point I was so excited and was anticipating receiving PPR.
• April 21st:Received a request letter asking for police certificate. I received the request mail around 6am. I went to Ikoyi that same day to get the police certificate and submitted it that same day.
• May 5th: I received a second BVL. When I received this, I was so confused. I had never heard of someone receiving more than on BVL. I thought IRCC mistakenly sent me BVL instead of PPR.
• May 31st : I ordered my GCMS notes
• June 30th: I received my GCMS notes. They were perfect, they showed “Eligibility: passed” and “Final: approved”. I was so happy, but IRCC decided to keep me waiting. I can't lie, I started to doubt whether the notes were true.
• July 28th : PPR
I am a first time applicant. I applied for a PGD in Marketing & Data Analytics at Okanagan college.
I submitted 2 MBS certificates, one from my dad and the other from my uncle. I also submitted two letters of sponsorship, one from my parents the other from my uncle.
It has ended in praise!!

Some employers give study leave of 2 years.

RollyA:
undergrad may not work. it is not logical for any employer to give you study leave for more than 1 year if you ask me
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 19 by possessor1: 7:24am On Jul 26, 2021
I did my upfront med in May. I paid online

JosephYemsol:
This was how I did mine at qlife...

I don't think qlife collects payment online...

Or has it changed now?

TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 19 by possessor1: 10:33am On Jul 25, 2021
I dont think that's true. These agents though sad I deferred from May to Sept. My agent told me to send the school a mail to defer. It was done in less than 48 hours
Yinkagbo:
The institution is Lakeland college...I had btech in agric econs and extension here in Nigeria and I put in for agribusiness (post secondary diploma)
My concern is this , I applied through agent and he told me yesterday that I will need to pay to deffer addimision
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 19 by possessor1: 4:06pm On Jul 24, 2021
what school did you apply to for data analytics?

Anu2002:
Congratulations to the recent PPR recipients. I pray we all get the good news. I have a question. With the hindsight of proving purpose of visit, how do you explain in your SOP why you are choosing data analytics for PGD. Background 10 years work experience in facility management/real estate. First degree -Business Admin. Thank you.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 19 by possessor1: 3:51pm On Jul 23, 2021
You are right
Nuve:
From what I gather, first week of April applicants, non-NSE route had their eligibility started around the same time ish (July 14-16). I applied on April 5, non-nse route, and had eligibility started on that day also. It might also mean applicants from that time frame would receive their PPR around the same time. Make we just dey watch and wait.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 19 by possessor1: 3:41pm On Jul 23, 2021
I applied exactly the same day.

Eligibility on July 16

Haven't noticed anything since then.

We keep waiting. It will end in glorious praise for us all.

akoko123:
Its my 3rd application submitted 6th April 2021, I chose normal route. Caught 1st ghost update 15th of July and noticed eligibility review started. But I have not seen anything since then. Should I be worried?

Derah0:
Hello everyone, I have been a silent reader for a very long time and finally got my ppr.

Application timeline
Submitted- April 23rd, 2021
Biometrics request- April 25th, 2021
( then I mistakenly locked my account so I have to create another one and link the accounts)
Nse request letter- April 30th (I didn’t write IELTS and honestly did not want to write it so I requested a letter of Proficiency in English from my university and submitted as well as the MBS)
Correspondence letter - July 22nd, 2021
Original passport request- July 22nd, 2021

Hope this helps somebody. I
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 19 by possessor1: 10:26am On Jul 23, 2021
I honestly think that if you submitted your application in Canada or Outside Nigeria, It would be nice if you state that when posting your timelines.
This is so accurate assessments of the timing can be noted especially for those that applied from Nigeria..... which I think makes up for over 70% of the people here. Regards.

It will end in Praise!
