Congrats OP.

That would not stop me or other people from trolling or being trolled though. That words that sound harsh to you is is what made some people's day. However hard we try to be civil, the animal instinct will one way or the other show up, and of course, it is one of those reasons they call it life.

Enjoy your Job and be a good fellow. Do not stop your Boss from being a troll for it might be one of such things that bring fort happiness to his life.

Will be expecting 10% tithe though.

Hello guys
Good morning to you all.

Remember this thread I created sometime last year?

https://www.nairaland.com/5448693/accept-job-offer-continue-job

Well as God would have it, a Nairalander whose moniker is very popular on here(Wouldn't mention for obvious reasons) reached out to me and asked me to send my CV to his email address for review.

At first, I was reluctant and didn't want to send the CV considering he's always not serious with his posts and also a troll here or so I thought. But on a second thought I decided to give it a try. Few days later, he sent an email requesting that I meet him at a particular address the following day on the Island here in Lagos.

The following day I got to the address, it was actually an office complex with the company occupying about 6 floors in the entire building. I met with the Nairalander, we discussed at length and in the end he asked me when I would love to resume.

I later got to know he is the General Manager, Group Learning and Human Resources for the Company(A Privately owned Oil Firm) after resumption.

Fams, today I'm gainfully employed with a pay four times bigger than what the Chinese company had earlier offered me in my previous thread.

I want to use this medium to thank Seun Osewa and most especially God for sending an helper my way when I thought all hopes was lost. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

PS: Some Nairalanders are super rich and connected guys, believe me. Learn to respect people's opinion on here as you may not know who you're dealing with. For those who are still searching for jobs, please do not stop believing as your breakthrough is closer than you know. Thank you.

I know you would most likely see this Sir. May God continually bless you, guide and protect you. I appreciate you from the bottom of my heart, God bless you. Amen!

I need this miracle in my life right now. God shine your light on me. Please

Congratulations Op... I used to say that people should learn how to respect people here because you don’t know who is who. Aside the person is rich, i believe have people that can be our father, mother, uncle or Aunty here. But some young people sometimes would just lambast another Op because of differences in opinion. Thank God you did not look down on the Op and give it a try. Again, Congrats bruh
you have spoken well.

Nairaland is the exact replica of our society where the supposed "police" (moderators) are underperforming. What is to be deplored really is the growing number of fake monikers, annoying attitude of trolls here and there. Let alone these, this is a good place to be. Congrats Op. Really happy for you! wink

I am happy for you man.

But you nearly fell into the trap of underestimating someone based on their ideology or comment.

But God gave you wisdom to forward your CV. I learnt my lesson the day I met one of this Anambra state men. So simple wears slippers and a t-shirt up and down. But his Rolex was mad.

I was first underestimating based on is way of talking and acting. A typical Igbo man until he pulled an impossible string for me in my presence. Guy I weak. I couldn't see it coming.

From that day henceforth, even if you are dressed like a shoemaker I will still give you the same respect I give others. Even if our opinion differs I will still respect you.

Cause trust me the real wealthy men don't show off. They live a low key life. That you will be shocked and choked on the shock ooo.

I believe my company has one of the best payscale for entry level position in Lagos.

We PAY very well.

So, we ran a recruitment to fill some specialised positions in my unit. I was part of the panel.

I am not the HR, I lead my unit. Its a specialised unit so I am involved in filling positions for my team.

Our recruitment is always four stages.

Stage 1, we review your CV and hold virtual assessment.

Stage 2, we invite you to our office for a one-on-one discussion.

Stage 3, we invite for a meeting with the HR. At this stage, you are already hired.

Stage 4, we subject you to an intense1 week onboarding process. The company feeds you and its counted as your first week of work.

So, you are paid your full salary.

After the interview in stage 2, we head to Nairaland to listen to them. I knew they will definitely come on Nairaland to ask questions about our company.

I scoured the Career section waiting patiently for their thread.

It happened.

From their description, I knew who was who. I used their moniker to check their comment history and boom.

TRIBAL WARLORDS.

Na so dey lose their job.

To be on a safe side, because there are monikers couldn't associate with some of the people that attended the interview, we blacklisted all the dudes that attended the interview and run a fresh process.

We recruited our best consultant from Nairaland.

An Edo guy but a non-Igbo hater.

Nairaland is powerful. Be guided.
