Marriage was never about gain until the gov got involved. It was an institution to raise children.

See the mother protects and look after the children. The father provides for them. Looking after a child is no day job. It's hard.

Now Feminism happens and they handed over children to the government to raise on curriculum since the Father and mother are now working. N if the Father refused to participate, the gov will take away his stuff and hand it over to the Woman.

The responsibility of those children rests on your laps from school bills to feeding for at least 2 decades while your wife contributes almost nothing in those bills. she'll tell you it's your responsibility.
